  1. We're deciding to do it before because of the date. We are planning to do the legal part on the anniversary of when we first started dating and having the ceremony a couple of months later. we'll technically be married for a good 2 months before but no one except my parents will know. the things we do for love... LOL
  2. Hi, Kristie. We have something in common. I'm getting married at Aventura Cove a few days before your wedding!!! Welcome to the forum. You are going to get tons of great ideas from everyone here. Happy planning!
  3. go for it!!! you are putting your own personal touch on these programs and that means something to you. with that alone your MOH should have no issues with it. She needs to smile and help you assemble the programs! :-)

  5. I'm sorry to hear that. Like everyone else said, the most important part is the fact that you are marrying the person you love. Good luck with planning your wedding back at home. Wish you the best

    HI!

Congrats and welcome! I stayed at Dreams Tulum back in 2005, it was still known as Sunscape, and it was an amazing experience. We were there during Hurricane Wilma, and the staff did everything to keep us calm about the incoming storm. We were moved to another part of town and everything. They did an outstanding job and we loved every minute of it, including the hurricane part. While we were there they were starting the build the new side of the resort, and from the pictures I see it looks just amazing. I've also seen lots of threads about Dreams Tulum, that'll also have tons of helpful info which'll come in handy while you make your decision. Happy planning!

  8. Laughter erupted in hospital room when nurse announced significant digits The Associated Press updated 3:29 p.m. PT, Thurs., Sept . 10, 2009 LA CROSSE, Wis. - No doubt about it, the nines have it. Chuck Berendes of La Crosse said he will never forget the birthday of this third child, born Wednesday on the ninth day of the nine month in the year 2009. Nor will Berendes and his wife, Polly, forget Henry Michael's arrival time — at 9:09 a.m. by Cesarean section at Franciscan Skemp Medical Center in La Crosse. But they got the biggest laugh when the newborn was placed on the delivery room scale following his birth. Berendes said it was metric scale so the doctor did the math in his head, but to make sure, he had the nurse also do the conversion. Berendes said they broke into laughter when the nurse told them Henry weighed 9 pounds, 9 ounces. Copyright 2009 The Associated Press. All rights reserved. 9. I agree with you, ladies. I wasn't even considering that Sparrow could've been a girl, because either way it's not a cool baby name. I guess celebrities just want to outdo each other when it comes to naming babies. When my times comes a regular name will suffice :-) And did you ladies hear about the baby born on 09/09/09 at 9:09am and weighed in at 9 lbs, 9 oz? If the article isn't posted on the forum I'll look for it and try to post it. CRAZY!!!
  10. Congratulations, Svetlana! By far picking the date and place have been the most stressful parts for me, I just chose my resort last week, LOL. Happy planning!
  11. Congrats and welcome to the forum. You are going to find such valuable info here. Happy planning!
  12. Hi, Jess. My fiance and I visited Dreams Punta Cana just last year May and it was an amazing experience. They have a beatuiful pool that feels like it goes on forever. Some of the rooms that are on the ground floor open up directly into the pool area, making it that much easier to get into and out of the pool. The staff was also very nice and made that extra effort to make our stay memorable. They also had activities that, unfortunately, I only took advantage of as we were leaving. We took a couple of the tours outside of the resort, but I could've just stayed in the resort the whole time and I would have been just as happy, if not more. :-) Good luck with your planning!
  13. Congratulations and welcome to the forum
  14. Congrats and welcome!! Happy to see another May 2010 bride.
  15. I'm in the same boat as you ladies. After realizing that my fiance couldn't get a copy of his birth certificate (don't ask, too complicated) we figured it would be so much easier to have all the legalities done in the States. My concern with that is that our city hall is so blah, nothing nice about it at all. I was even thinking about having a tiny ceremony in our church with just our parents, just need to know if our priest would do that. I don't think there would be a problem with that. Has anyone else had it like that?
  16. For me, it's the 1st one. Love the bright colors, would so fit into the destination wedding theme. Good luck! ;-)
  17. Your invites look so pretty. I've been emailing with her about my STD boarding passes. Glad you liked yours.
  18. I know, I went to the website and that was the only color. Ill keep an eye out for other cute bags like those.
  19. Welcome and congratulations! Paradisus Riviera Cancun was one of the two resorts I was looking into for my own May 2010 wedding. All of the pictures of the resorts look wonderful and there are a few lengthy (but very, very informative) reviews on the forum for Paradisus. GL
  20. your pictures were really cute, Rachel. can't wait to read your review and look at more of your pictures. I'm planning to get married at Aventura Cove next year May and still have virtually all of my planning to get done. did you take any of the tours the resort provided? I thought that would be pretty neat, it'll give my guests something extra to do on their own.
  21. Aventura Cove is where we are getting married also. I have kids coming to the wedding and was excited to see that they kinda took the resort and divided it in half to allow for kids. I'm glad to hear that it blew you away. Our wedding will be May 20, 2010... and I can't wait.
