I got the 4x6 for candy and the 5x8 for first aid kits in my OOT bags. They only took about a week to arrive and the ribbon ties work great. I forgot to mention the price...I paid $20 for 90 bags and shipping. I thought it was a great deal!

  7. Betsy - Thanks so much for the information! I'll probably just get it translated back here if I need to. I've read several of your posts and you've been so helpful and after seeing your pictures and hearing about your experience, I can't wait to get married at the MP next month!!!
  8. I'm having about 25 guests and have decided to assign each guest to a table, rather than an "assigned seat". Since I don't want to carry too much down with me, and I don't care all that much about personalizing everything, we are going to incorporate the place cards into the favors. Each favor will have a ribbon with the guests name and table assignment. They can find the table and sit where they want to. I'm not sure what we're going to do for table numbers/names, but I like the idea of using places that are important to us as a couple.

So I have decided not to do Programs, we are 27 ppl (including us) so I just don't see the point, same goes for place cards. Any one else feel the same? We are having a timeline and a newsletter, since I figure the resort is large and I have no idea if everyone will be staying near one another. Oh and in 2 weeks, I am sending out a powerpoint presentation of Who is who. Anyone else go this route instead of a booklet? Cheers! We also decided no to programs. I've been trying to cut things off of my to-do list and that seemed like a good place to start! As far as place cards...I don't want my divorced parents and their new spouses to end up at the same table, so I'm going to do table assignments (let them pick their own seat) so they aren't staring daggers at each other or fighting to sit with us...we'll sit with his parents instead so no one feels slighted
  10. I think we'll just send out an email a few weeks before with info on the hotel, things to remember to pack, itinerary, links to excursion websites, etc. At this point, we're kind of depending on word of mouth info, but we should probably get something a little more organized. Yet another thing for my to-do list...

Karen - You didn't get your marriage license translated and haven't had any problems with making legal changes in the US? That's good to know! I called the Registrar of Deeds in my county and they said I don't need to come in or anything, I can just start filling out the paperwork to get a new SS card and drivers license. I have been wondering whether I need to pay for translation. Thanks!
  12. We are going to spend the night apart. He will stay with his best man, who lives far away so it will give them some man-time together. My sister wil probably stay with me. I can't wait to see my FI for the first time on our wedding day as I walk down the aisle!
  13. We are getting our parents albums after the wedding. We are also going to give them nice bottles of wine with personalized thank you labels. They have pictures and a thank you message. They're all big wine buffs and it will be something nice to display, even after they drink the bottles!
  14. thanks for starting this thread! it's really helpful to see what others are playing. i think we'll pull songs from all of these lists!
  15. thanks everyone for the great tips! I now have a long list of things to think about for my DW next month!
  16. I am so sorry that you have to deal with this situation! I agree that your dad is being insensitive by bringing his GF, when she was clearly not invited. I also agree with others when they say she should not be invited to any wedding festivities. It doesn't matter if it hurts her feelings or your dads, because they obviously didn't take yours into consideration, on one of the most important days of your life. I wish you good luck with your wedding day. All that matters is that you and your FH will be getting married!
  17. That was very nice of your coworkers! The cake and favors looked great!
