  1. Mishka where did you find the silver starfish sandals?? I tried and tried to look up Beach Wedding Ideas and just couldn't find them. They are totally fitting for what I am looking for! Thank you!
  2. Congrats Kacie and welcome to the forum! Make sure you check out the areas on here about the specific cities in Mexico (like Puerto Vallarta, etc) and you can get tons of info on the resorts and anything else you can think of.
  3. ohh man this is going to be such a hard choice for me! I am currently in love with Gucci by Gucci but I think I want something more special for our wedding. Decisions Decisions!
  4. There have been girls on the forum that have had their TTD pics taken with bigger dresses. I say just search the TTD pics and see what you come up with. I know the smaller dresses are more common because I think they are easier to work with in the ocean.
  5. I love the small detailing in the sweetheart neckline of number 1 and the back is fabulous.
  6. I would recommend going with someone that has atleast done some outside wedding photography. In all my research I kept finding time and time again that to shoot a destination wedding is tricky with all the lighting aspects. And the last thing you want is pictures to not be that great when it is one of the most special days of your life. My photographer takes amazing pictures and was a second shooter to one of the best photographers in Puerto Vallarta. But he has branched out on his own and has moved back to the states and is willing to travel. His packages are totally reasonable for people in a tight budget, but you will still get amazing pictures. I don't know if he would go to Fiji but I don't see why not! His website is license to Still, his name is Nathan Cordova. I know I am super stoked to have him shooting my wedding.
  7. 1. I also don't know what I want, who knows if the men even know the tradition of getting each other gifts 2. I am doing a BD shoot and making him a BD book which I know he will love
  8. I say silver too, but like the other girls said it is hard without a pic
  9. Its a beautiful dress!! And kudos to you for going to the Running of the Brides!! Can't wait to see pics of it on you!
  10. The bonfire is $250 in 2009 and $300 for 2010. It isn't per person just a flat fee that includes the fire, marshmellows, etc. But if you want a rehearsal dinner along with the bonfire that is a pp rate, which runs from about $27-$35 pp. Hope that helps!
  11. I got my girls a starfish charm necklace from Kohls which are super cute. But try Etsy, the people on there have great options and will also customize jewelry for you.
  12. You may want to ask your WC i bet she will have a great idea of where to rent from.
  13. I think the ones the bridesmaids decided on looks great! And I don't think the one-shouldered look will look bad in photos at all! And hey if they are hot on the day of the wedding just remind them that they decided on that dress! But no worries the dress will look fab on your wedding day! Plus remember dresses can always be shortened. If you decide you want the dress that they decided on to be short, you are the bride. You could always just tell them that u will pay for the alterations to make it a short dress!
  14. Congrats!! Your dress is so gorgeous! Can't wait to see pics of you in it!
  15. I would think it would be cooler to be in a shorter dress but that is just how I feel. I am putting my girls in a dress above the knee.

My FI doesn't understand that and thinks it's still expensive considering where we live, we can go make a bonfire on the beach for basically free anytime we want. Okay so Rebeca wrote me back about the rehearsal dinner deal. Apparently in 2010 it will cost $50 more to do the bonfire since she quoted me $300 for the bonfire (LAME) but I guess it is only $50 more. Then she sent me two attachments in regards to food (plated menu options and buffet options), but said when I had a final number of people she would give me an overall quote. So I don't know if that means the price would go up or down depending on the number of guests I have. But she did say that bar service is included. She just didn't say how long the rehearsal dinner would last and if they would maintain the bonfire or if we would have to throw extra wood on to keep it going. Needless to say I don't know if my FI's parents will be down with the price, I hope they will though. I don't think it would be any cheaper to go into downtown PV. 17. I would recommend using them as Ushers and to help walk him down the aisle. You want your wedding day to be a happy occassion and even as nice as you are trying to be the last thing you want on YOUR day is people standing up beside you that call you names and are nasty to you. Surround yourself with people who really love you, not people who try to get you down. Let them be included by helping the groom, who is there brother and they have no problem with him. I am not including my FSIL in any way, she doesn't deserve it at all, in reality she is lucky she is being invited. But since you really want to try to make amends include them but not in ways that affect you.
  18. That is a really great price! Thanks Jill! I am going to email her today to see how much it would be to include food and drinks with the bonfire. My future inlaws are interested in paying for a rehearsal dinner. But since most of our guests won't be arriving till the day before the wedding we wanted to have something at the resort instead of downtown PV.
