  1. Absolutely amazing pictures. The backdrop of the castle makes you look even more like a Princess. Congrats and thanks for sharing.

  3. I've been looking for invites for so long. The first one I found and fell in love with was from wedding paper divas. I just ordered a sample and can't wait to see it. They seem like they have a wide selection of great invites. If it's in your budget go ahead.
  4. They look wonderful. Initially, I wanted to do a brochure but I went a little over budget on our STD magnets. I just prepared a letter to send to my guests and bought stationary. I will stick to my budget!!!
  5. Love the look of your invites!! I especially like the whole passport/ boarding pass idea with rsvp card. Very creative and saves on postage.
  6. Both dresses are beautiful and they fit you very well. You can't go wrong with either choice. Go with your gut and think about how the dress makes you feel.

Welcome and Congrats!! You'll find tons of info here to help with the planning.
  8. Congrats and Welcome!! I've also had trouble picking colors. As of today I'm going with turquoise but not too sure about a secondary color... coral definately goes though. Here's a website that may help a little The Perfect Palette I read a blurb from "Destination Weddings for Dummies" and some colors that they say are great for a tropical weddings are lemon, lime, tangerine, hot pink and turquoise. Good Luck!!

    Hello!

    Congrats and Welcome!!
  10. Congrats and Welcome. Check out the Jamaica forums, there are many brides who have posted info about their weddings. Good luck!!
  11. Congrats and Welcome!! If you have $ in the budget- get a planner. It will take a lot of pressure off of you. You can share your ideas and have someone else work to execute them. Good Luck!!
  12. Congrats on your engagement and welcome to the world of BDW. I think we all understand the grumbles from family and friends when they first heard about us having a DW. At least your mother is supportive. DOn;t worry about what others have to say. If this is what you and FI want- stick to your guns and DO IT! Your fam and friends should love and respect your wishes no matter where you choose to get married. If they don't want to go,then oh well- you'll have a wonderful time without them. You can't please everyone. No matter what you do everyone won't be happy. Good Luck!!
  13. what a gorgeous dress! It's going to be hot in Mexico no matter what you wear. The dress does look like it will attract a lot of heat but it's YOUR day!!. If you try it on and feel comfortable go ahead. The temperature depends on the time of the day... it's much cooler at night/ evening. Also, if you have the reception indoors in the a/c you will be okay.
  14. Haven't really thought about what I will do with it after the wedding. I may hold on to it for a little and think about donating it.
  15. Thanks for sharing your pictures, they came out very nice! Love the dress and the cake.
  16. Congrats, We're getting married on the same date! Doesn't it feel good to finally have a date? Now you can really get some planning done.
  17. We're keeping it simple with just a MOH( my sis) and BM ( his bro). One of the best decisions we've made. No need for us to decide who will be in it/ not in it/ hurt feelings. I do want to assign certain roles to some important ppl who will be attending so they feel like they have something to do.
  18. Absolutely gorgeous, thanks for sharing. You two make a beautiful couple.
  19. Welcome and Congrats from a fellow NYer!!
  20. Welcome and Congrats!! I know how it is to feel overwhelmed right after getting engaged. You feel like you have so many things to get done and feel pressure because everyone has a ton of questions. Well the best piece of advice that I was given( by FI) was to do one thing at a time. So that's what I've been doing. I made a To DO List and every other week or so I would do something on the list. The main thing is to think about the location and secure a date. After that it all falls into place!
  21. Welcome and Congrats. Good luck with the planning!!
