Anyone have their entire playlist?
Sparkles8300 replied to sstotz's topic in Wedding Music & Entertainment
great thread!! -
My dad and I are dancing to My Wish by Rascal Flatts. It's funny because he was just over here for a bbq last weekend and was so excited that he had found this song and he downloaded it to his Iphone and was playing it for everyone. I would let your dad pick the song so he can feel like he is a part of things

Airbrush tanning??
Sparkles8300 replied to iwantadreamswedding's topic in Destination Wedding in Cabo
Just be careful!! I did the airbrush tanning the day before we left for our site visit. After getting in the pool for an hour or so on the first day my chest and arms started to peel off. It looked SOOO BAD!! I had to exfoliate to make it less patchy. If you do spray tan, then make sure to stay out of the water before your wedding so you don't start to peel off. -
I confess that I do not want one of my BMs to be in my wedding. I was in hers a few years ago (they are already divorced) and my FI had 5 guys, and I needed one more to make it even, so I felt like I had to ask her..ekkkk.

Congrats! My FI and I stayed there back in 2007 and LOVED it!!! The food is great, the service is wonderful, and the views from all of the rooms are oceanfront and beautiful!! Your wedding will be so amazing! We thought about booking the wedding there, but we have some non-couples coming so we could not do it.

December 2009 Brides!

I sent out STD to about 160 ppl. I'm a little worried, but is there anything I can really do? I can't make people pay their deposits. Any recommendations Dec Brides!? Jillian- We have the same wedding date!! It's actually also my FI's parents wedding anniversary and they have been together for 27 years so I guess it's good luck! As for people booking, I only have about 10 out of 63 people booked. We put down $50 deposits for all 63 people and as long as they pay the balance by August 4th they can book with our low rate. I am not worried because our TA will be sending out an email this week letting them all know that if their hotel rooms are not booked by Aug 4th then they will not get the discounted rate. If you don't have a TA, you could just send out a mass email giving everyone a deadline for your rate. Since we booked through Apple Vacations, if people do not book, their $50 deposit is not lost, it is just rolled into my FI and I's room cost so we don't lose anything! -

She calls me more than I call her..I love it! She is great at keeping me updated on who has booked and what peoples travel dates are etc... by sending me excel sheets with all of the info a few times a week. I reccomend her--her info is: Hazel Boone 410-624-2168 e-mail: [email protected] I met her at a Someday Vacations booth at a bridal show and she was just the sweetest lady, I knew she would be great to work with (and she has been). Just tell her I told you to call her and that you are also planning a wedding, she specializes in group travel. Good Luck!!! -
December 2009 Brides!
Sparkles8300 replied to *Nadine*'s topic in General Wedding Planning Information
Hey Ladies! I just came across this page and I am relieved to see that there are plenty of other Dec '09 brides on here. I am getting married December 4th, 2009 ( it was going to be Dec 5th, but our resort only does one wedding a day and it was already taken). We have been engaged since October and so far I have: Things I have done: 1. Chose the location - Iberostar Grand Rose Hall 2. Chose our Bridemaids, MOH and Best Man, Groomsmen 3. Created a wedding website - used weddingannouncer.com 4. Purchased my wedding gown and tiara - Kenneth Pool 5. Booked our photographer - Sungold Photography 6. Hired our travel agent - Hazel Boone-Someday Vacations 7. Made and sent out STDs - Letter, Response Cards, & Magnet 8. Site Visit-Went for 3 nights in May to check everything out and meet with the WC and florist...they and the hotel were AMAZING! 9. Picked out centerpieces - Conch Shells used as vases with flowers 10. Bought my BMs and MOH their shoes - Rampage sandals for $25 each on sale from $40 at Macys! 11. Got monograms from Sarah to use on everything 12. Purchased some stuff to make decorations for cocktail hour and buffet I am now working on making a photo scrapbook to place everyones polaroid pictures in from the reception. -

I love how you incorporated your monogram into everything! Those towels look amazing! Your guests are going to be sooo impressed! -
Everything looks wonderful! I love your programs and OOT bags. When you printed the programs from Vistaprint what did you print them on/as? I love your colors & how you let the BMs all pick out their own dresses!! FI and I got engaged at the Grand Palladium back in October & I can't wait to see the pics from your wedding there. It holds such a special place in our hearts! Congrats!!!

I just spent a few hours reading all of your posts, and I have gone through so many emotions! I'm excited for everyone getting married, I have been nervous about the price changes at MDC, I was blown away by Sparkles' dad's photos of the resort. I'm feeling the jitters for Claudette since she'll be the first one on this thread to go through the wedding process at Moon Dance. I'm very excited for all of you and can't wait to hear the details as everything happens. The Villas use the same vendors as the Cliffs, so this thread has been very helpful. Sparkles - I want to ask if you or your dad mind if I use some of his photos of MDC for my wedding website. I want to build a page that has info on both of my resorts, and those pictures he took are fabulous! I obviously wouldn't use the ones that have him or your mother in them. But I thought I'd get permission before I stole them. Happy planning everyone! Congrats Christy!!! Of course you can use the pictures, feel free to "steal" away! It's so much more beautiful in person...my FI and I were there in OCT doing a site visit when it was under construction and the view off the cliffs is just breathtaking!! We are doing our honeymoon at Moon Dance Villas & we also did a site visit there and, yet again, it's so much more beautiful in person.

Iberostar Grand Rose Hall
Sparkles8300 replied to Sparkles8300's topic in Jamaica Accommodations & Site
I did not see what chairs were under the covers. The chairs at the lunch restaurant are wooden and are nice looking. I would assume that since, by the time your wedding is taking place, the lunch restaurant (closes at 3, I think) will be closed so you could prob use them. I am assuming that those are the chairs under the covers. -
