My MOH and I have been eyeing the tiffanys keychain for YEARS. I am going to suprise her with it! I don't know if it should be in private or if I should put it in her bag that I am giving to all of my girls. I don't want anyone else to be upset that they did not get anything extra. What are you girls doing?

I got him tickets to the Milan and Chelsea soccer game that is coming to M&T Bank Stadium here in Baltimore. He is a HUGE soccer fan and was SOOOOO excited when I gave him the tickets!!!

My dog also had that when I rescued him. He had to get a dental and they ended up pulling 5 teeth. He looks so funny now when he yawns and there are all of these gaps. His breath is still really bad from all of the neglect. Come to think of it, it's prob time for a good teeth cleaning. Thanks for posting this as a reminder!

Gokartmagic-WOW! They must really be filling up on weddings if they did not have any Saturdays. Good for them. After doing the site visit, I know it really is the best location EVER, and I was suprised that (at the time) they only had 2 weddings booked! Hopefully more Grand ladies will join. Imuze-We have Aunt's and Uncle's staying next door with 4 kids. They are letting them come to our Grand wedding, because they are all over 13 and we are doing the private rececpion. Maybe you could ask if they would let your kids come over as well? I mean, if they are paying to come over & you are paying to rent out a private area, I don't see Iberostar saying "no". Even with the $80pp to come over for the wedding, it is still hundreds of $$'s cheaper to stay at the Suites. That is why we don't feel bad about those staying there paying the $80 instead of us paying. Just a thought!

These look great. Thanks for the tips on where to purchase everything. Do you think that a business card size paper would fit in these holders or would it look too small?

My FI is a HUGE Eagles fan and he found a list of the players salaries and Hank only made (OK, not really "only" to us normal people) $450,000 last year. I am sure if Kendra wanted to be a real gold digger, she could have found an athlete that makes way more than that, or she would have just stayed with Hef. Plus she probably made more than that last year by herself!!!! I think this baby will force her to grow up. She will have to cut out the partying and drinking and that will leave a lot more time for her to grow as a person. Hank seems like a really great guy. My future mother in law met him right as he was starting to date Kendra. She was shopping in the NFL store in the Eagles stadium and Hank came in and was complimenting her on a hat that she was trying on. She had no idea who he was, but she is very talkative and they ended up talking (she took a pic with him) and exchanging phone numbers...they used to text back and forth once in awhile. She said he is so down to earth, was very “yes mam” etc.., and seems like he comes from a great family. I can’t wait to see her wedding!!!!!!!!!!!!

The same thing is starting to happen to us right now too. I think most DW brides go through this, so don't take it too personal (as hard as that is to do). I have come to peace with the fact that people have backed out. My Grandma was the most important person to me and she told me, for the whole past year, that she was so excited to come. Then she tells my Aunt that she is not coming now and feels like it would be too much effort. The next person to back out was my BF from college, who I was considering asking to be in my wedding (MOH....OK good thing I did not ask her). She was the 1st one to send in her RSVP as "yes" and the first one to tell the TA her travel dates. But when it fame time to send in the deposit, she wrote to my TA and told her she will not be attending??!?!?! This was 2 weeks ago and she still has not even told me that she is not coming!!!!!!!!!!!!! Needless to say this is so rude, I will not be talking to her anymore. Lots of other people are now flaking out since the deposits have become due and things have become more real. I had another friend back out over email last week. I will not be suprised by anything anymore. I think we just need to be thankful for those that will be making the trip. We should just go and have a GREAT time and take lots of photos and let everyone see what a wonderful time we had. In the end it really is all about the Bride and Groom and that is all that really matters. Yes, we would like all of our loved ones there, but if they can't make it, the wedding still goes on! Don't feel so bad, lots of brides go through this and you are not alone. If you need someone to vent to I am always here, going through the same thing!

Our guests are paying $764/pp for 4 nights. The airfare right now is $400 so we are waiting on that to drop before we tell people to start booking their flights. We travel a lot and have noticed that they usually start discounting the air fare abour 2-3 months out from travel dates. So, I think it will end up costing everyone about 1,200/pp for 4 nights. Thats $291/pp per night which includes EVERYTHING. I think that is a pretty good deal.

My photographer is Sungold and we had to put down $500 to hold our date. Then 1/2 of the total is due 60 days before and the remainder is due the day of the shoot (but I will give it to them before that, just to be safe!).

Thanks for the info on your dinner. I will have to call Pilar, the Grand's WC and talk to her about doing a sit down. I feel like if we are paying to rent out the restaurant we should be able to have service and not just buffet. Thanks again!!!!

Beautiful wedding!! I love the hanging lanterns, they really made the whole look pop! I will def be bringing those with me as well now! So was your dinner a sit down dinner or buffet? I am getting married at the Grand and I think the only choice was buffet...but I really want a sit down. If it was a sit down, what did you have for your course choices...maybe I can see if they will let me do that same dinner. Congrats again and everything looked beautiful and I am glad you had such a great experience!

I love the rose/starfish arrangements that you had on the chairs lining the isle. Your dress is so pretty and you are one skinny bride (your pictures motivated me to get to the gym)! It looks like all of your guests had a blast! Where/how did you book DJ Paul? I really want to make sure that our DJ is really good and I watched some of your video and he seemed really fun and like he had good energy. Your cake was so pretty. I am trying to figure out how to steal a picture of your cake table b/c I want my cake to be that exact same thing (if you have a pic you could send me that would be so awesome [email protected]). I also love the fact that they pulled off that slideshow for you. How cool is that!!!!!! At what point in the night did you suprise everyone with the fire dancer? After the cake cutting? We are doing our TTD at Moon Dance Cliffs & Villas during our honeymoon so any location suggestions would be awesome. I def want a picture of us holding hands and jumping off the cliffs.
