Hello Ladies. I've decided that this dress is overkill for my rustic Mayan wedding, and I'm placing it up for sale here first. The style is Phillipa, brand new never worn, never altered, absolutely perfect and it's a size 8. I paid $1275.00 for the dress, but I will sell for $900 or best offer. Here are photos from the Maggie Sottero site, but I can take the original photos if you like and post or send them via email. The dress is stunning and is from her Couture line, and the photos do not serve the dress justice. The color is Ivory over light gold. Please let me know if you're interested. Also, I'm looking for a very casual yet beautiful wedding dress - yes I'm crazy for just now figuring this out with only 2-months till my wedding, but hey it will all work out. Here the description from the website: One-piece, strapless fit and flare style featuring an embellished ribbon lace over satin. The lace is adorned with seed beads, sequins, and bugle beads. This sophisticated style is elegantly finished with a sweep train. Gown is available with a corset closure or decorative button over zipper back closure.

In looking for pashminas to order, I saw a lot of different threads where girls had posted various online sellers they’d used… So, since I made a list of them to check them all out, I thought I’d post it all in one place for easy reference… For the Ebay sellers, the links don’t necessarily take you to the seller’s store…they may take you to an old listing…I copied and pasted these links to my “wedding to-do list†a while ago, but hopefully you'll get the idea:-) I personally JUST ordered 16 pashminas from: (look under "scarves" on the site) wholesale handbags designer style handbags evening handbags discount handbags purses jewelry and scarves They were $3.95 US each plus only about $10 shipping… While this site SAYS you need to order a minimum of 24 items, I e-mailed them and asked about ordering 16, and they e-mailed back to say they consider any orders between 12 and 24 to be wholesale, so they did it! You might just want to e-mail them first to confirm, but honestly – I had a great experience…I ordered them on Wednesday and they were delivered yesterday!) *note for Canadian brides…I’m in Canada, but had them shipped to my FMIL in the States…(she says they’re a beautiful colour and feel like a good quality)…I’m not sure if they ship to Canada, but maybe another BDW member would take them for you and then ship them to you…? Here is the list of Ebay sellers I compiled…obviously there are more, so feel free to add! Onshopping888 eBay Seller: onshopping888: Scarves Wraps, Wallets items on eBay.com purselover168 eBay Seller: purselover168: Clothing, Shoes Accessories, Toys Hobbies items on eBay.com * for 16 pashminas, I was told shipping to Canada would cost $35 and shipping to the US would cost $23.95. MichaelYu123 Soft Pashmina Cashmere Silk Wool Shawl Wrap Scarf SALE - eBay (item 190255353183 end time Oct-04-08 20:40:20 PDT) * I asked this seller about just buying 16 pashminas, instead of bidding and he said he’d sell them to me for $5.99 CND/scarf, and shipping would be $39 CND. (! Eek – that’s a LOT in shipping charges!) Wuld probably be cheaper for those using American dollars:-) Zenjen eBay Seller: zenjen: Clothing, Shoes Accessories items on eBay.com RainbowBridgeFashion 7 2Ply Faux Pashmina shawl wrap scarf WHOLESALE LOT - eBay (item 350110320025 end time Oct-24-08 17:55:12 PDT) Hope this helps someone! Thank you so much for the above information - I've been searching everywhere!

Well looking through all the posts, I have been to each and everyone of the sites...I'm a larger top girl 38D, and the best solution I've found is Victoria's Secret. Target's suits cut into my neck, Venus suits are fine, but not a great selection, and so I'm going with a lot of the new VS swimsuits. They just posted more within the last couple of days and are having a sale!!!!!

How much did you spend on your AHR?
HotTamale replied to GracieBebe's topic in At Home Reception (AHR)
Talk about being overwhelmed - I'm more than that after reading this post - you girls put everything into perspective for me. I was going to budget $1500, but there's no way this can happen now...I'm thinking around $2500 total for drinks, food, and everything else...ouch. I am also shocked at some of the numbers...25000.00 - wow! -
Wonderful idea from Etsy! I may have to use these...thanks for sharing sister!

Bridal Shower...who to invite/not invite?
HotTamale replied to JoLo908's topic in Wedding Etiquette, Traditions, to dos
Hey girls I share your pain!!!!! (BSullivan2) My situation is similiar to yours. I live 2-hours away from everyone. I sent out 50-invitations to everyone that voiced they can make it to the wedding and the rest to those close family and friends. I am paying for everything and wanted some type of invitiation to go out, but I could only afford 50. I have used our wedding website as a way of communicating all events to everyone, and this has been a money saver, time saver, and great communication method. so even though I have a huge family as does my FI everyone knows the events. Our shower is in May, and it will be a combined couple shower/bachelor/bachelorette celebration. Our wedding is in June, and our AHR is in August. Invitations for the AHR will be mailed when return in June, however I am inviting everyone to the shower/celebration in May...gifts are not required nor are the expected, and I have voiced this to everyone. Our intention is to have everyone together to share the party, and upcoming wedding. Let's be realistic - not everyone can afford a trip, and I don't think anyone wants to make people feel obligated to bring gifts. My opinion is that "old school" tradition gets thrown out the window, after all I chose a destination wedding "not" expecting any traditional methods of a "traditional" wedding. I think that if it's communicated clearly that no offense will not be taken. Our invitations to the shower are to celebrate the upcoming wedding, I'm not including where I'm registered...but if people ask then I will tell them. Not sure if any of this helps, but I'm very non-traditional, but also cognizant of traditional way of thinking, and trying to appease everyone. Good luck, and let us know how everything works out for you!!!!!! -
