  1. Good afternoon, girls! I just received the below email from my wedding coordinator - very informative. I also attached the Word version for reference. Tourism remains active in Cancun and Puerto Morelos Cancun, Quintana Roo, May 6th, 2009. Despite the fact of the influenza A (H1N1) outbreak that Mexico is facing and has directly impacted the tourism industry nationwide, it is important to point out that the activity in this important destination remains active, as follows: The tourism industry, including hotels, restaurants, theme parks, shopping centers, city transportation and marinas, are implementing sanitary measures in order to avoid any possible transmission of this virus. The Quintana Roo Secretary of Tourism, Sara Latife Ruiz Chavez, informed that the National Institute of Anthropology and History (INAH) authorized the reopening of the archaeological sites in Quintana Roo, as well as in the rest of Mexico. Hotels such as the domestic chain Real Resorts are reinforcing their hygienic measures by setting alcohol-based hand cleaners in all the hotel areas, including their suites. Theme parks like Xcaret and Xel-Há remain open and with normal operations. They have confirmed that they will keep their full staff, through a joint agreement with their 2,300 employees. Dolphin Discovery Group continues operating without any change within their properties in Isla Mujeres, Puerto Aventuras and Cozumel, as well as Aquatours Marina and Garrafon Park. Their staff will continue working as usual. Río Secreto and Alltournative reported their regular operations. The Mexican Caribbean Golf Association has confirmed the regular operation of its twelve associates, including their brand-new partner Bahía Príncipe Riviera Maya Residencial Golf Resort, which will open next August. This Association has confirmed as well that Pok-ta-Pok Golf Course will invest an important amount of money in order to improve both, the course and the equipment. Restaurants such as Grill 14, Crab House, Carlos’n Charlie’s, Mamá Roma y El Shrimp Bucket are open and operation under extreme hygienic measures, and offering attractive promotions for the upcoming Mother’s Day. Benito Juarez City Hall has announced that starting May 7th, bars, nightclubs and movie theaters within Cancun and Puerto Morelos will open their doors, at 40% of their capacity, accordingly to the Mexico’s Ministry of Health recommendations. The 3rd King Polo Cup will take place as planned on May 9th, 10th, 15th and 16th at El Rey Polo Country Club, in Puerto Morelos. Fishing activities will also remain as programmed, with the 20th Puerto Morelos Sports Fishing Tournament, on May 29th to 31st, with an exciting closing ceremony on June the 1st. The Mexican Baseball Leage has announced the restoration of the matches, so the Quintana Roo’s Tigers will continue playing as usual. Finally, the trade and the educational activities in the Mexican Caribbean go back to normal, since high schools and universities will go back to classes starting Thursday May 7th, and elementary and kindergarten on Monday May 11th. # # # Cancun Convention and Visitors Bureau Cancun.travel | The Cancun Convention & Visitors Bureau Website Contact: Ms. Erika Mitzunaga, Ms. Erandeni Abundis PR Manager Latin America and Europe PR Manager North America and Asia +52 (99 881 27 59 +52 (99 881 27 57 Playa Cancun Porto Morelos Tulum.doc

Ya feel me? lol!
  3. Girl! I just did a major run through at Sephora on make-up for my wedding day...I literally ran them through the test...and Dillard's and Saks Fifth Avenue. I tried Christian Dior, Estee Lauder, NARS, Smashbox, Laura Mercier, and Make Up Forever. The best solution for me for foundation is Laura Mercier. I also combined this purchase with a primer of Smashbox with SPF. I'm telling you Laura Mercier is the shizzle, and Smashbox has the best primer on the market. And to top it all off, I purchased Lancome powder.....works beautifully! On another note, the Make Up Forever line is pretty incredible, it is made for high definition photos/television, and is major cover-up. I chose not to go with it becuase I felt that it would make me feel all yucky on the wedding day...you know heavy make-up, heat, and humidity - gross. That's my 2-cents...and the staff at Sephora are so friendly, blew away Saks and Dillards. And you get free samples! Good luck!
  4. Either the Victoria's Secret Seamless in nude - not white, or the Comando panties that tylersgirl posted.
  5. Try rumors.com or weddingchannel.com store Good luck!

They responded immediatley and once I decided on my logo, and designs, it took 10-days, and they ship UPS. They will custom design at no charge - highly recommend!
  7. Just to let you ladies know - my wonderful bridesmaids our throwing our couples shower next weekend and they purchase a Pig Pinata!!!!! So we can beat the shit out of it! And for this is what I think of the media....and the word swine....

Don't get worried or upset over this. Again the flipping media! GRRRRRR!!!!!!
  9. I just received my 50-Steins from Ebay seller Factory 21 eBay Store - Factory 21 Promotional Items: Shot Glasses, Steins, Pitchers If you are looking for personalized steins, shot glasses, etc, I highly recommend them to anyone. They are very responsive, high turn around, and flexible with amount of items to order. We are giving these out at our couples shower next Saturday, May 16th, and we are also placing them in the OOT bags. Here they are: The color is deep blue - not black as it may appear from the photo. This is the back. The saying is Viva la Vida, which means "Live The Life" The symbol represents the "Galactic Butterfly", which we are having a Mayan Cosmic Ceremony, and wanted to incorporate as much of the Mayan culture as possible. The Galactic Butterfly is an ancient Mayan symbol said to represent all of the consciousness that's ever existed in our galaxy. The consciousness of living things. Including animals, plants and humans etc. The consciousness that organized raw materials into a whirling disk of stars, planets and solar systems. God.
  10. I am giving the men all the neccessities for the beach (same as women but for men), and Axe Spray for men, also everyone is receiving steins (plastic). As for a specific "gift" hmm....maybe a cool bottle opener? One they can carry in their pocket at the resort?
  11. I vote for the collapsible koozie, I'm a longneck beer girl and always use the collapsible. Great sense of humor with the wording, although, I wouldn't put it on there, becuase personally it's something I don't want to remember or associate with my wedding *BUT* I know a lot of girls are running with it. The slogan is all up to you girl!

  17. Chin up, beautiful! Don't worry about this over sensationalized story that the media is thriving on - seriously! Read the thread that TaylorsGirl posted above, and skim through some of the pages, specifically read the last 5-10 pages....it's all good. If you need some reference information of what is really going on down there, you know something that will ease your mind and your guests, then please let me know and I'll get some info to you. You're going to have a beuatiful wedding - stay positive, I know it's hard, but we're all in this together. let me know if there's anything I can do for you...and CONGRATULATIONS!
  18. I also have a small group - 17 confirmed, and we are doing OOT bags. We are providing the neccessities, and extra "special" items. I'm almost done with them, and will post pics soon!
  19. This is probably going to sound very ignorant, so please pardon me for a bit. A Pashmina is completely different than a sarong. Is this correct? When I look at a pashmina, I think of cold or cooler weather, and this is an accessory to wear around your neck or as a shawl. Is this correct? I'm confused, becuase I want to order a sarong for my girls, but I see everyone ordering pashmina's, and am wondering if this will be worn on the beach. Sorry for sound a little clueless. But if you can wear this on the beach as a swimsuit cover up then I would like to order from this site. Thanks!
  20. I hope this isn't hijacking your thread, but I found a seller on Ebay that has great sarong's for the budget minded. Thought I would add to the site that you listed here, if you don't mind: EBAY Link: eBay My World - tropicaleasehawaii I purchased mine today, and they are combining shipping and have immediate shipping with a 2-3 day delivery....and they're really nice and big, so they can double as a dress at your resort. Cheers!
  21. Good for you, Chica!!!!! We are also going forward with our wedding in Mexico!!!! I sent an email out to everyone about the H1N1 and the response I received from every guest was that they'll be there no matter what. Great, Great, thread with positive energy. Congratulations!
