I just figured that I'd divide the cost by the number of us on the boat and everyone can pay their portion! (although FI and I might still cover more of the cost to bring it down for everyone else) I love the idea of the catamaran. Who are you chartering it with? What about the fishing trip?
  2. Congrats and welcome. I have the same wedding date too!
  3. My confession is...I'm completely annoyed with our wedding party. Here's the rundown: BM1 & GM1 got married last year. We had to take three days off for their wedding and we didn't even have to travel. They had so many events and activities that we had to be at. They just told me they are flying in Friday (our weeding is saturday) and flying out on Monday - WTH you couldn't take one extra day to spend time with us? BM2 invited her sister, sister's husband and dad. Not too worried because her family is great. Meanwhile, she refuses to go with the other girls to look for a dress. I live 1,000 miles away from the 3 of them so I can't really pick her up and make her go along. GM2 Just spent two weeks living at my house and whining about everything. He's mad because he's going to be out of the country for 3 months and is going to miss FI's bachelor party. Is that our problem? GM3 decided to come the day before the wedding but is staying for a week after because his girlfriend is coming the day after the wedding (she's invited but can't miss a test on the day of the wedding). Grrr. This our day and we really wanted our friends to be a part of it. I'm feeling really annoyed with them... but obviously won't tell them.

I promise your at the hardest part. When I quite, I had like an adrenaline thing going for the first two and half weeks -- I was so proud. The third and fourth weeks were insanely hard because I realized that I was really quitting and that meant resisting those damn cravings! The only suggestions I have are things I'm sure you've already heard (gum and sunflower seeds).
  5. Thanks ladies! Good to know about the beach balls - I definitely won't be including those . I'm wondering if anyone included little snacks in their bags? I was thinking things like granola bars, trail mix, etc.

  7. Hi Helen - Thanks so much for checking! We are thinking it would be fun to rent the disco after dinner. We would also be able to rent a DJ too so I think it would be fun. Thanks again.
  8. Hi All- We're considering renting out the disco at the Riu Vallarta for our reception. I was wondering if anyone has photos of the disco. I'm not sure what it looks like and I want to make sure it isn't tacky. Any pictures or descriptions would be GREATLY appreciated. - Bo
  9. Great job! These are awesome. I can't believe how many DIY things you included.
  10. Stick with Kelly! I know how frustrating it is. After being on the pill for years, I switched to an IUD. While I love not having to take the pill every day, it's been 2 or 3 months and my body is still out of whack. Hopefully, you'll adjust soon.
  11. Congrats! That's so exciting. I remember how nervous I was when we were doing our negotiations. I'm sure it will all work out in your favorable. I'll be sending positive thoughts your way! ~Bo
  12. Both dresses are great but I prefer the first. You look so curvy/sexy in it and I think it works so well with your veil, which I totally love.
  13. Kelly, you are so right. I was watching Bridezillas today and it was so sad that it wasn't even funny. The bride was sooo mean to her fiance. She was continually yelling at him--telling him he was fat and stupid. It made her look like such an ugly person (on the inside). I would love to see a happy story about couples that are in love and work together for a wonderful wedding.
  14. Your flowers are gorgeous! I'm definitely going to look into using Roberta! Thanks for sharing.
  15. Celina, thanks so much for posting this review. It is really helpful. I'm so sorry that the photographer sucked. The pictures you posted were great so hopefully that helps.
  16. I know exactly what you ladies are talking about! When I'm into a book it becomes part of daily routine, part of my life. I definitely miss the characters and storyline when I'm done. My FI doesn't read much so doesn't really understand. I'm a fiction junkie so I usually try to read some non-fiction in between -- something for work or a hobby. It helps me get over the end of the last book and gets me ready to read something new.
  17. Hi Tracy, We're giving gift bags to out guests but are trying to keep the costs down. We are giving canvas beach bags, travel games, snacks and other a couple of commemorative gifts. We are trying to keep the gifts under $10 a piece. It is definitely a costly thing but we thought it would be a nice treat for people who traveled so far to share our moments with us. It's definitely not a 'must do.' I don't think our guests are expecting it at all. Check out the OOTO threads for other ideas.
  18. I'm planning to do the same thing but I'm not sure what to say on the backside. What is standard language for a STD?
  19. Those are great! I actually think having your hair blowing looks cool. The sky is amazing! Congrats on beautiful picks.
  20. I'm so glad that it you guys were able to find suits. I ordered a couple too! They were such a great deal; I just couldn't resist.
