I think that it's ok to say something to your sister. I know that I said something to my BMs and they were really amazing and open to hearing what I wanted. I figure this is my one chance to get what I want and if I don't speak up, I'll never get it. (I even got my MIL to throw me a bridal shower). I think your sis would feel horrible if she didn't throw a party and then found out later you wanted one. I'm sure everyone wants to help out any way they can.

I'm been making some progress. We got FI's suit yesterday. BM's dresses and jewelry are done. OOT bags are half done. RSVPs are coming in like crazy. I think the next few weeks are going to hectic for us all!

So this maybe a stupid question...did all of you use colored sand? For some reason the colored sand just doesn't appeal to me. I think it's because my mom always made me do sand art projects and it reminds me of that. Based on our vows, I think we might be able to just use beach sand. Are they coming to wedding? Maybe you could do a spa day during the wedding trip or an excursion. Something where you could give them a memory too.
