The Baja Norte is actually one of the bars located right near the quiet side swim up pool. I saw it set up while we were there last week and it looked really nice for a evening get together...I don't know that I would use it for supper though...it seemed windy in the evenings.

Our cake tasted great too but we only ate what we fed each other and no one else had any. We literally cut one slice to get the pictures and then left for the disco. I may have a picture through everyone elses pics that they took but we don't have them all together yet.

Hi All...we just got back this morning! So we rented the disco and went there directly from supper at around 9pm. We then had our first dances. It was so great to have the nightclub all to our selves. We had a group of 50 and it was a phenomenal amount of fun! It was $500 for the site fee....that includes the DJ and the open bar. Also we emailed the 3 songs we wanted for dances and he downloaded then and then he had alot of very "American" music if you want to call it that. We knew every song he played. I totally think it was worth it for that big of a group. The only thing I would recommend is asking to have a sign put up to say that it's a private function until 11. We had alot of people coming in because we were having such a great time.

We just got back today!! Our ceremony was at 4:00 on the 14th. The heat is better than in the morning but it was still very hot. I had sweat dripping down the back of my legs standing there. Also on the barefoot thing - our whole wedding party along with guests left their shoes right where we walked out into the sand. Pretty much everyone was barefoot.....very romantic!

Those are freaking awesome!!! Great job - I wish I had had more time to plan our wedding and make some of those DIY projects.

We purchased 250 personalized full size Hershey's bars as favours - that's why I'm wondering how to make sure each couple takes only one....

You totally need to buy the dress you want. My maid of honor actually pulled my dress off the rack to try on when we first got in the store and I hated it. I didn't want to even try it on and then after trying like 15 on she convinced me to try it and guess what - that's my dress. I pretty much started crying as soon as I looked at myself in the mirror...that's how I knew it was the one I wanted.

I don't want to take the risk so I got it steamed this week before we leave and then I'm going to have my parents hang it in the bathroom to steam it while we are there. It's tafeta so hopefully that will help if it does get wrinkled on the plane.

We are also paying for everything ourselves. We thought the cost of them getting there and their wedding attire was plenty enough for them to spend. It will be a bonus if they do contribute any further. I am still getting my dad to do the welcome speech even though they aren't traditionally paying for the reception though.

This is going to be for the dance when we get home. We aren' t having RSVP's but are expecting upwards of 400 people.

Well we are leaving in essentially 2 days to go to the airport and I am super excited.....!!!! I just wanted to thank everyone for answering questions and giving suggestions. For all of you looking for nightclub pictures I will try and take as many as I can for you.

We are doing the same thing as KristinaV although our reception is at the Steakhouse. I have emailed but am also bringing our first dance, father / daughter, mother / son songs on CD and iPod. Other than that.....I know our wedding group will have fun wherever...haha

Hey all, I just put on our OOT bag stuffer page - "Please no gifts - your presence is all we need". This tells them not to bring anything there for sure. I hope if they do decide that they have to that they will bring it to the reception that we are having back in our home town.

Kelly C - we are doing the same thing. The hotel photographer will do our ceremony pictures and then our friend will do all others such as the guys getting ready and the girls getting ready. The best part is that she will be with us all the time so we should have some nightclub ones too which will be great! Lisa - we are soooo excited. We fly out Sunday morning at like 6:30 AM!!!

Problem is that she does....she's not professional but it's her hobby / passion sort of thing.

So I read the thread regarding to photography and professional people coming from off site but what about if one of my guests is going to be taking photos I know it seems a dumb question to ask but she will be right in the action as much as possible and taking our photos after the ceremony on the beach etc. Do you think they would be upset about this? I would rather her take pictures because she will take 10 times the amount that anyone else will and I will get them all.

Wow you look wonderful. The pictures turned out great! I am so nervous - next week at this time we will be recovering from our first day in Cabo.

That looks fabulous smile99. It was no problem at all to post it. I am thinking of starting a home based business doing these sorts of these so I take pride in people asking. :-) Well next week at this time we will be recovering from our first day in Mexico!!!

How would I go about wording something that says please take one per couple only...... I was trying to think of something creative such as: We want everyone to share in our joy, please enjoy together as a token of our appreciation I don't know - something like that? Any ideas or cute sayings or poems or something?

Hi There, I am having a hard time figuring out what to take for a grooms gift. Being that we are travelling what are you all taking as a gift to your new hubbies??

Because we are going away it's hard to find appropiate gifts for the groom? What are all of you doing?
