  1. Blkatz, absolutely STUNNING!! You look gorgeous; you look so happy and relaxed. And erik did a GREAT job! congrats to you and your new hubby!
  2. Hi ladies, I haven't been on in a while but I just saw some of the reviews and pics that just went up. BLKATZ- i'm sorry you had so many cancellations but i'm so glad the wedding went well anyway!! I also wanted to tell you guys about a cool thing my hubby and i just did. After my wedding I had an “impressionist” like “painting” done with one of our photos. We just got it in and we LOVE IT! We worked with Bebelliet Studio. She can also do it in different painting styles depending on what you like: impressionist, oil painting, water color, etc… She essentially takes a photo and makes it look like a painting. We had it framed and we LOVE it. Great to do with wedding pictures (or BM/parents gifts?). Anyway, she was great to work with, quick to respond and her prices were A LOT better than others I found online doing something similar work. Just thought I’d share! we love love love how it turned out! I dont have a pdf of the one she did of us (just have the hard copy) but she put me up on her site! Here's the link: Create Works of Art From Photographs Oh and here is her pricing. PHOTO PAINTING-- digital generation~ $5.00 flat rate for shipping & handling applies: 8x10 - 1 preview/1 revision $40.00 8x10 each additional print $15.00 8x10 framed via "personal shopper", gift-ready, shipped to recipient $60.00 11x14 - 1 preview/1 revision $50.00 11x14 each additional print (same shipment) $20.00 11x14 framed via "personal shopper", gift-ready, shipped to recipient $80.00 13x19 print - 1 preview/1 revision $70.00

They were a line of suit that is made by macy's- nobody else carried them. I cant remember the name of the top of my head but can check when i'm home. We then looked at the inventory (with the help of a guy in the men's dept) and got all the right sizes shipped to us from around the country from various Macy's. It worked pretty well. We ended up buying them for everyone. it took a fair amount of coordination but we got a good deal b/c of the Macy's one day sale type things... Good luck!

I got the bags from cheaptotes and bought transfer paper and ironed the logos on myself. I got the shotglasses from discountmugs.com! Best of luck to you all!! Amy

That is right. A friend made it for me and I only have it in a pdf file. She made it in some cool graphic design program she has that I dont have on my computer so she sent it to me in pdf. Sorry!!! Maybe send it/the pic to Sproullie Designs or one of the others on here who makes logos and see if they can mimic it?!?!? Best of luck to you all!
  8. The wine cellar at Portofino is on the main floor- not down stairs. My husband and I sat at our own table for dinner- I guess that's what you call a sweetheart table, right? Nothing unique to it really other than it was just us at a small table facing everyone. It was nice though. They brought in a separate cake table when we did the cake cutting so yes!
  9. Sounds amazing!! Congratulations! You wont be disappointed with Citlalli; she's GREAT!

We had looked at fake ones beforehand but decided against it. The cheaper ones we didn't like and the ones I did like were very expensive. We just asked the florist for a lily to put in my hair. I think it was like $15 bucks or something and they brough two or three to choose from. I LOVED IT! It was perfect for what i wanted!

Because the resort has photography as part of all their packages, did you get any money back b/c you had your own? I haven't seen many TTD photos from Tulum, does anyone do that out there? Would the photographer you used do that? Thanks! Since we used an outside photographer, they gave us extra time with the videographer. Worked great for us! I heard of someone else using the resort photographer for the TTD since they brought their own for the wedding. Something to consider. YES, there are a bunch of brides who've done TTD at DT. Look at the first few pages of the DT thread and click on the lists of brides who've already been married there! The photographer I used would do it but unfortunately its expensive for them to come all the way out to Tulum on two separate days. So you cant split the hours of your package. It's almost like two separate packages.

I'd like to get customized koozies/beer huggies, are they worth it? Do they serve beer/drinks from cans, bottles, or cups? Just want to make sure if I get these that they can be used. Thanks!! I had plastic stadium cups made and as cute as they were, they didn't really get used that much at the resort. DT serves their drinks in nice sizes and plus our guests would just forget them. So for what its worht, you could probably invest in something else. Although i think people liked having the cups as a keepsake anyway. GOOD LUCK!
  13. BEAUTIFUL PICTURES!!! Congratulations!!!!
  14. Hi Lindz- a friend of mine actually created my logo for me (she has a pretty cool graphic design system at work). Not sure what she used but she sent it to me in pdf. So unfortunately I dont know how to manipulate it or put it in a form that you all could manipulate. I then sent it to the various vendors and they were able to use it. Bags: i bought on cheaptotes.com and then used transfer paper to iron the logo on. Shot glasses I got from discountmugs.com Stadium cups- I can't remember and i cant find it on my computer! SORRY. I found a bunch of vendors and then just emailed them all and got pricing and went with the cheapest!
  15. No, I had them made custom wtih my logo. I tried looking up in my files where they were ordered from but I couldnt find it!!! I looked on the internet and found about 5 different places and then sent each my logo and got a price check and just went with the cheapest one! SORRY- I can't believe I can't find it!!! There are a ton of vendors out there and probably some recommendations elsewhere on the forum!
