I am not much help with the DC area, but I am sure you will find something that will work out for you too. Are you hoping to go with him in Jan or a little bit afterwards? Best of luck with everything!

That is f*ing hilarious!!!!!!!!! I wish there was someone else with me here so that I could laugh with them rather than by myself. No one to share with but Larry will be home later, so I will definately read these to him!!!

Time flies when you are having fun on a place like BDW!!!! I can't believe that it is almost here, which means that mine is not too far away. When my ticker got down below the 3 month mark I was getting all excited, and now some of the other Nov girls' tickers are under the 2 month mark which gets me excited. Do you have everything basically done?

That would be Larry's response too. He doesn't understand why we are doing all the stuff we are doing already. I don't even tell him about the OOt bags and the welcome books and bubba kegs and stuff since he just doesn't get it! What he doesn't know won't bother him I figure! LMAO!!!

Display - Because 2 peopel fell in love
EricaG replied to adias.angel's topic in Wedding Flowers, decoration, cake, etc.
That is such an awesome idea. Don't know if we will do it, since my parents (mom & my sisters dad) are not married, and Larry's parents are in the process of divorcing. The only thing I can think of is if we can find Larry's grandparents wedding pics and then use the grandparents photos. I can get a copy of both of my Grandma & Grandpa's wedding pic and my Nanny & Grandpa's wedding pic. -
I have a lot of stuff around here that I want to do, have to do and yet I have done nothing except tend to the kids and talk on here. Oh my cousin that was supposed to be in the wedding is going to work on her hubby to see if either both of them can come or just her. We still have the one seat available until Mon, so she is going to let me know by Sun at the shower. I can't believe that that is going to be this weekend. I better get this place cleaned up so I have room to put stuff that Larry can look at when I get back!

Welcome to the forum. Since we will be getting married at the same resort only days apart, we will have to get together down there, and we can help each other out with the planning. Anything you want to know, just ask. U have most of the planning sorted out I think!

what to wear under the dress?
EricaG replied to tvt's topic in Destination Wedding Dresses, Wedding Attire & rings
So my mom got the body shaper for me and I tried it on. It sucked everything in like spanx does, and it has the cups at the top. My dress fits a lot better with it on and I don't have to worry about keeping my puppies in place now. They sit where they should be, and that works for me. -
That is so exciting. I am excited about getting a couple massage on the beach one night. We have talked about getting massages on the beach before, but never ended up doing it, so this time we are doing the couples moonlight massage!! It will be so soothing and relaxing I think. Hmmm....that beach dinner does sound great though....you have a great TA Danielle!!!!

My kitty passed away on the last day of our honeymoon.
EricaG replied to azhuskergirl's topic in Just venting or funnies
I am sorry to hear about you loss. I have only seen my Dad cry once, and heard of one other time. The time I heard of was when we had to put our one cat down and she was also 21 years old. My Dad had her since just after she was born. Then the time that I did see him cry was when we had to put my cat down. She was 15 years old! It is never easy, especially when they are a part of your life for so long!! -
I thought you were just checking in quickly and then getting off BDW for the day since you have deadlines!?!?!? LMAO!! It is hard to stay away and of course we love having you here chatting Danielle. Good luck getting all your stuff done to meet your deadline!

My old username was ethrondson. E was for my first name and then it was my lastname pronounced tron*son. Now my username is EricaG. Air*ick*ahh and G for my future last initial. As for Yari, I remember reading that thread and knowing that the 'R' is pronounced as a 'D'.

I would be a wreck knowing that they were under the plane too. That just doesn't seem like a trip that I would be looking forward too, although it is true that they will do fine. Once you get them to their new home, they will be to busy exploring to stay mad. Of course you will feel bad that they had a long trip in the kennels under the plane that you will probably be loving them up, which they will also love!!!

I am so sorry to hear that you and your family are going through this. It is never easy, and when you have to do it more than once in a short period of time, I think it is a bit harder. If you need to talk, I am here. Don't hesitate to lean on my shoulder if you need to! You can't always be there for everyone else and not have anyone for you to lean on.

I have never heard of this either, although I think that it is very interesting. We do the engagement pics up here but usually they aren't on display at the weddings. We actually didn't even do the engagement pics since $$ was tight for about a year, and now we have the wedding expense, so we are probably skipping them. I did do the BD pics though and I am just waiting to get all those back!!

If your hair is about the smae length, I am sure it would look great on you. What did your hair dresser says about the hair styles? How is your e-ring and wedding band? Can't wait to see pics of them!!!! Quote: Originally Posted by Chiquita Hey guys! Yikes I haven't been on in 5 days.. how crazy. I went to get my dress altered last weekend.. just the hem needed to be done really or so I thought. I tried it on and it was a bit BIG on me! Crikey. Not enough for it to be an issue yet, but I have to try to maintain my weight now instead of losing more. I hadn't realized my body was sooo different from when I tried on the dress back in february! I go back the beginning of october to make sure the hem is right, then we'll see if I need the booby cups sewn in.. which so far I don't cause it's loosened up a bit. Ah well. Oh I also had a mini meltdown over the weekend. I've been trying not to stress out about all this wedding stuff, but apparently I'm more stressed than I thought cause I just started bawling my eyes out sunday morning.. I was convincing myself Jayson didn't love me anymore and didn't want to marry me.. crazy stuff.. I know that's not true. Ugh. Hopefully I don't have any more of those. I also got maybe half of my RSVP cards back.. grrrr! I knew that would happen, but still, it's really annoying! Fak. Especially from people who are already married, so they should KNOW to send back the damn RSVP's. There is a 1 in my siggy.. I just can't believe it. I am glad to hear that Jayson's Dad is at home and doing alright. As for RSVP's, I was not the best with them, as I always had the best of intentions, but then I wouldn't have a stamp or something, so it would be last minute. I tell you, now I will be going out to get that stamp right away if I don't have one! That is always nice to know that you have to maintain your weight rather than lose more!!!! That is awesome. I still need to lose a bit more. As for the break down....I have them every once in awhile. I think it is partially the wedding planning, partially my job (which I do love, but it is stressfull, sometimes more so than other times), and of course the kids (they aren't bad but Justin is very busy and distructive, and Hailey is at the age she wants independance and gets attitude if she doesn't like something that is happening). I had to take an Ativan one day to calm down and that almost knocked me on my ass. I wasn't sleeping, but I was basically a zombie!! I can't believe how quick everything is coming. I get nervous/excited when your tickers start changing by a month, as I know mine isn't that far behind! Quote: Originally Posted by amyrak Wow my thing said 12346 unread posts!! My bachelorette party weekend is next weekend so I was just working on my BMs gifts (i'm giving them to them next weekend at the bachelorette) Wow, that is a lot of posts!!! My first shower is this coming weekend, and although I was going to give the girls their gifts in the Dominican the night before the wedding, I am now thinking that I will give them to them this weekend. This shower will not be a big party party. It will be a more intimate get together I think, so it might be more fitting, and then the girls don't have to worry about finding earrings and necklaces, or beachbags!!! Everyone think that sounds good? Oh also girls...my dress isn't even in yet..should I be worried?? Or they haven't even called either..haha I called awhile back and they said 2nd week in Aug. Hmmm...seeing as it's 2nd week in Sept maybe I should call again. Do you guys all have your dresses?? I have had my dress for awhile, but since we got it off ebay, it only took 2 weeks to get here. If they said it would be here the second week of Aug, then I would definately be calling and finding out what is happening with it!!!

I missed it since I was at work. I tried to watch it there, but it is cable and I thought it was on at 10pm like it was before, but nope, it wasn't!!!! Boo!

I have my fingers crossed for you Martha, as well as everyone else that has, may & will be affected my Ike! These storms are never nice to deal with, and I too hope that it is not very strong when it does hit the mainland. Do you have somewhere to go if you have to leave?

Congrats on the new family member! Both your fur babies are very sweet.

Pics of my last two fittings!
EricaG replied to Mrs. Martin's topic in Destination Wedding Dresses, Wedding Attire & rings
You look really great in your dress! Thanks for posting the pics before you leave. Enjoy your trip!!! -
I would have whichever dress you want. I would tell you to try on the old dress again, but that probably won't give you the same idea as it did years ago. Would you wear 2 dresses? At least if you did get the new dress, then if you didn't manage to get back down to a size 12 again, it wouldn't be that big of a deal!!! Can you afford a new dress?

I am from Alberta and never heard of the remote being called a commander. Not sure where that came from. How did the day go at work saying "What in tarnation are you doing?" I am not totally sure what tarnation means either Erin but I have heard that growing up. Not really sure who said that, but I know that I have heard that before. It was almost like a deja vu when I read it!!!! LMAO

Strapless g-string?
EricaG replied to laybar's topic in Destination Wedding Dresses, Wedding Attire & rings
Not sure that I would trust the adheisive after I went to the bathroom. I was thinking that they both look like pantyliners too, and I would rather just go commando than pay for those. The second one isn't adheisive, but still not sure about it. I think I would be clenching my buttcheeks all day to try and make sure it stayed in, and how comfortable would that be? -
Any Young and the Restless Fans? **updated with fan site info**

Do you think Victor is going to stay around for very long? Or is he just getting things organized before he takes off again? He is acting sort of strange I think. Hmmm.....
