  3. Hi Rhiannon, One thing to remember is that there is the Elegance and the Colonial. Both resorts are owned by the same people, and they look basically the same but have small differences. I agree that the wind would probably be too strong for a beach setup in November. My photos of the steakhouse were on the Colonial side, and they were on the terrace of the steakhouse, Jodi's I believe were inside the steakhouse again at the Colonial. With the terrace you would have the same problem with wind because it is outside of the wind screens (it is basically 30 feet from the locat

  12. Congrats on your engagement! I am Canadian from Montreal, and have had a couples from the Winnipeg area. It's always hard to know where to start! First I would look into the dates that would work best for you, your budget and for your guests. Then I would start looking into the many resort options and what type of wedding package you are looking for. A big question to ask yourself right away is if you want to have a legal ceremony in the DR or a symbolic ceremony.
