I got my 4 yr RN degree from UWO - the program was fantastic, and I have lots of friends who did the CTF program, so I can tell you more about that if you're interested. In ON, we also have the new grad initiative, so all new RN grads are guaranteed full time employment for 8 months at least after graduation. However, with our nursing shortage, you could work anywhere, anytime, so this isn't really a big concern. If you want to stay in northern ON, there are lots of great northern incentives, so more $$$$ Anyway, I love nursing - the profession is amazing and there are unlimited opportunities in so many areas. Good luck with your decision - I know it is a big one!!! Kate
  3. On the Knot, you can search the flowers by colour....maybe try looking there??
  4. Welcome home!! Glad to hear you had such a great time!! Congrats!!!!!!
  5. Wow, there have been some great gifts so far!! I love that picture frame!!
  6. Wow, it really looks amazing!!! The colour combo is fantastic. The orange shoes are great!! Have a wonderful wedding day.
  7. I know I was kinda disappointed when I had some guests want to stay elsewhere, especially because we had committed to a certain number of rooms at Playa Fiesta and they were going to miss all the activities and dinners that we have planned for the three days before the wedding (salsa dance instructor coming, fire jugglers, welcome party, cuban band, etc). I also had a few PF brides tell me that the guests who stayed elsewhere and just came for the wedding really regretted it after, since they missed out on the real party atmosphere that the hotel can create since it is so small and intimate. That being said, some people really wanted to do their own thing even after I explained everything to them - so they have booked in a big AI and are just coming for the wedding. I think if you have explained everything to them (including the day pass fee if they want to come to PF to participate in the events you might be planning) and they still want to go elsewhere, it is their vacation and they should do what they want....just my thoughts!
  8. Heidi!!! Everything looks fantastic....and congrats on being MARRIED!!!!! Everyone must have loved your oot bags and all the details you put together. Your theme and colours really came together. Did Alex love the BD book? I remember the pics you had done in TO - they were absolutely stunning! I can't wait to see pics of the wedding and hear your review. Congrats again!!!

It is around 5k, and includes full coverage on the day of the wedding, plus a shoot the day before the wedding (casual, romatic type photos) and rights to all the high res digital images of all the photos....
  10. This sounds like a good plan, Morgan. We are trying to figure out how to do this now....FI is an accountant and watches his money really closely, while I never even look at my bank or credit card statement (ignorance is bliss), so we'll have to work out something like this...how did you decide how much or what percentage to put into your fun fund?
  11. We did the full takeover and are a little stressed now b/c the rooms aren't filling quite as fast as we had hoped....still have a while though! Lindsay and Adam are amazing. Yes, PF is a little more expensive than some other places, but we figure we are getting a 5 day party out of it. We are using Michelle Turner as our photographer. She is higher end, meaning more $$, but her pictures are absolutely amazing. You can visit her website at Michelle Turner Photography - Maine and Destination Wedding Photography Good luck!!

  15. K, here are mine....thanks to Morgan for suggesting I put this in! The first three are from last weekend - they are kinda similar, but this way you can choose your fave to caption! Photo 1 Photo 2 Photo 3 Photo 4 Photo 5

  17. Yay, Tara I'm so glad you like it!! Hope it helps make the bathroom in your new house more spa-like!!! Enjoy
  18. We might be going the way that Morgan did and cancelling ours as well. A lot of people who can't come to Mexico want to celebrate somehow, though, but if we end up doing one it will be very low key...I'm thinking afternoon garden party/bbq, very casual....
  19. Gorgeous dress! I love how Maggie's fit. I have a Maggie too - Adrianna MaggieSottero.com - Adrianna - Dress Detail - was around $800.
  20. Those are beautiful! The upper right one is my favourite....
  21. Everything looks fantastic! I love the personalized champagne flutes. I can't wait to see pics when you get back, especially of the hair extensions!
  22. They look beautiful!! I love the palm tree on your invite and the anchor hanging off the glass bottles!
  23. I'm from London (Ontario) too, and actually found some great dresses down on Richmond Row. You could check out Elizabeth Noel, Lolita, Fischer and Co (kinda expensive IMHO), and Saffron Road. Good luck!!
