  1. Maybe email her again in a few days. I'm pretty lucky with my WC, who has never taken more than 20 minutes to respond to my many emails (crazy, I know!) - but the resort only does 1 wedding/week, so there aren't a ton of brides to deal with. Good luck!!

  3. Those look great, Morgan! And thank you so much for sharing all your ideas...I'm just getting started and things were looking very daunting, but this site and all the great ideas will make it so much easier! THANK YOU!!

I found this vendor: Faux Fake Pashmina Shawl Wrap Scarf Wholesale USA Canada Rainbow They sell on ebay and have an excellent feedback record, but I don't personally know anyone who has used them...
  6. For you Canadian gals ordering the pashminas, do you know what shipping costs will be? I know you can save duty if the package is marked as a gift with a value of like $10, but wondered what you thought the shipping would be....I need 30! Thanks a million!

Most of them are flying from Toronto - the flight is 5 hours, so it is pretty hard to make it a long weekend, like your guests will be able to do. Those who are coming have really planned it as a "vacation".
  8. I'm at Playa Fiesta, and I don't think the 5 night minimum is negotiable. Of the 60 people we're having, only about 5 or 6 wanted stay less nights. A few wanted to stay for a 7 night, with isn't a problem with PF. I guess it will depend on your guests, but since we did a big dinner and entertainment package and made a full 5 day party, most people really wanted to do the full package. Good luck!
  9. I really like the IndieBride site for unique wedding ceremony ideas. Try this thread: Kvetch: Vows => Sample Ceremony Repository It has sample ceremonies. Some are really unique!

Have you done a site visit with them or did you pick it site unseen? I would love to hear what you have to say about your plans and ideas! Thank you, everyone, for such a warm welcome! WSUgal, we didn't do a site visit with PF - booked site unseen. I pretty much fell in love with the place online, and once I read reviews for it, etc, our decision was made! We've done a full resort takeover - this brings the prices down for each guest but also means we have to fill all 30 rooms. Since our wedding isn't for awhile, we don't think this will be a proble. You can also do a partial takeover (at least 18 rooms), as you may know. For us, it has everything that we wanted: privacy (since it is just our guests there for the whole time), a dedicated event planner (Lindsay is wonderful), fun events that we could do with family and friends for the week (we bought a Dinner and Entertainment pack), and beautiful accomodations. However, it is definitely going to cost us more than if we had gone with a different resort. Anyway, let me know if you have any questions...I'll do my best to answer! Good luck in picking your site!!! Take care, Kate
