  3. Hey Maura! Glad you're thinking of making the trek up to Canada!! I think the main attractions, from a tourist point of view, are the CN Tower, Casa Loma, the Ontario Science Centre (more for kids), the Royal Ontario Musuem, the Toronto Zoo, and the Hockey Hall of Fame….not sure if you’re interested in any of those. The ROM is pretty cool now that they've redone it. You can get access to all of them with a CityPass from TO Tourism. I really like the cultural side of TO – the arts scene is pretty great…if you are into theatre, check out torontolivetheatre.com. The Distillery District is a cool place to go for dinner and to walk around, I love it down there. The TO islands are nothing special IMO. You can also go on a day trip to Niagara Falls or Niagara-on-the-lake. When FI and I were last in NOTL, we did a cycling winery tour that was fabulous. Hope this helps. Keep us updated on your mini-moon plans. Kate
  4. Hi Heather! I would definitely be interested. The only thing is that I leave for my wedding at the end of January...anyway, I'll PM you my email addy.
  5. Thanks for the post, Morgan - the Vitamin String Quartet is fantastic!! They do some great instrumentals of more recent songs too - I love their "How to Save a Life" and "Chasing Cars". Their "Sugar, We're Going Down" and "With or Without You" are awesome!! Their "Welcome to the Jungle" is kinda odd...as you might expect any instrumental version to be
  6. Hey Kathy - looks like this could be a good deal for someone! Did you post in buy/sell/trade/freebies too? Might have better luck there. Love your NYC engagement photos, btw.
  7. So beautiful!! Congrats - the gamble on the resort photog paid off big time!

  9. Hey Morgan - I would love one of your sticker codes if they are still available. Thanks!!

You'll love the RPM classes...they follow the same format each time (just like attack and pump do) and the music is great. We're in a new release now (you've probably already done the pump one!), so it is the perfect time to try!! You'll hear the same release for the next few weeks and get to know the format of the class. And yes, your bum will hurt after the first time...best remedy is to get back on the bike within a few days...have fun!!!

  12. Sounds like fun! Are you buying a nice camera?? Let us know how it turns out.
  13. Yay!!! I was so happy to see the FedEx delivery person a few minutes ago with my package! THANK YOU NIKKI (nikkianddean) for the fabulous Starbucks gift certificate AND the travel coffee mug. I love it - I am a serious Starbucks addict The mug is really cool - you can customize it by decorating the insert with photos. There are even templates online to do this. I have always wanted one of these mugs (my wish last Christmas for one went unanswered), so I really, really appreciate it, Nikki!! Here's a pic of the mug - sorry, my camera is out of commission so this is straight off the website. Isn't it funky??
  14. Love those earrings, Drea - great gift, Erin!! To my secret elf - if you have already sent it, I have been away but return home Wednesday night, and will post pics as soon as I have it!! I'm excited!!
  15. We're getting married there two weeks after SoonToBeAMrs!! I know both of us are really excited to have our weddings there. Let us know if you need any help. Good luck!!

Yeah, I have heard others say that the AHR is a gift grab too...but this doesn't make sense to me - like you said, I can't imagine being able to throw the AHR for less than the value of any gifts you get. I don't know anyone that was thinking about the gifts when they decided to have an AHR.

  18. I would actually be okay with doing an evite for an AHR. I have a few friends that actually did this for their wedding (although they had to mail a few to those who weren't very internet savvy) and had a lot of really positive comments on how easy it was to RSVP and how much more environmentally friendly it is. Now they are big "green" people, so a lot of guests knew they were trying to keep with a green wedding theme. Anyway, I guess maybe it depends on your guests...Shea is right, you'll probably have those who won't RSVP properly no matter what you do. Personally, though, I would be very happy to receive or send an evite for a casual AHR. Let us know what you decide to do!
  19. Very nice bracelet!! I haven't bought off etsy yet, but the more I see...
  20. Wow Abbie, it all looks fantastic!! I love the color of your invites, and your dress is beautiful. Have a great time!!!
  21. I'm doing an internship at the World Health Organization in Switzerland....so spending my weekends travelling and seeing Europe! Only a few more weeks, though, and then back home for wedding planning and relaxing before school starts again.
  22. Wow, everything looks fantastic! I like the disclaimers (not Steve, not my carpet). Your dress is absolutely beautiful, and your guests are very lucky with your pre-wedding package and your favours!!! Where did you get the crystals to scatter on the tables? Have a fantastic time!!
