  1. We flew Spiritair and I DO NOT reccomend them at all. I was not able to hang my dress in a closet cause there are no closets. I guess when you buy budget you get budget! It got us where we are going ahead of schedule so I shouldn't say it was a total nightmare but everything else was! The dress worked out anyways. I was really stressed originally but I gave it a trial run about a week before and folded it and put it in my garmet bag over night. I then put it in my bathroom with the shower on hot like I was told to do and the wrinkes came right out so I didn't stress at all with it being in the bag on the trip. I used the bag as my carry on and Hollis carried another carryon. I also had a large purse that was actually a beach bag like Amanda did. I agree with Amanda that the shampoo was lower quality. The wierd thing is in Jamaica it did ok and since I have been home and used it, I cannot get a brush through my hair. I have alittle left but quit using. I did like the way it smelled and I really liked the lotion too.
  2. We flew through Spiritair and it was a nightmare! We prepurchased our baggage making it $20 a bag roundtrip. Well, when I was done it only showed up one way so I thought I messed it up and went back in and puchased it for the way back. I had a blond moment and did not check the bank first. Well, I was charged $20 extra dollars and it still showed up not purchased online. I called the 800 number and they said I would have to deal with it at the airport. At the airport they told me I would have to call the 800. It was 4am and we could not get ahold of anyone so we thought we would try from Jamaica. Anyone tried to make a call from Jamaica Not easy. We finally went to the main building at the resort and a lady there helped us get ahold of a person. Wouldn't you know it we got to the airport and they said we had not purchesed the baggage for the return flight! After a big fit they "found it". Even saw where I overpaid it but again I was going to have to call the 800number. Still have gotten nowhere with that. That was just begining of a nightmare trip home with delayed flights and overbooking. Having to spend the night in Ft. Lauderdale. Being put on different flights than our friends we were traveling with. It was a mess. Noone wanted to answer any of our questions about what was going on and just deferred to someone else. Everyone blamed someone else. I didn't care who was at fault I just wanted to get home! We did not get home until 2am on the 24th. We were planning on being at our house at 10pm on the 22nd! I know delayed flights had nothing to do with the prepurched bagges but I got on a rampage and couldn't stop..lol I have herd though that a lot of airlines are going to go to this prepuchased baggage. IF they all have good systems in place it really would not be a big deal! Ours wouldn't have been if thier system would have just worked how it should have!
  3. Good luck! I am sure things will go great! Keep us posted!

We have a 2 year old and he aways tell hers her I am his wife just get her going. Somereason that word annoys her! She smiles and pushes him away from us!
  5. I know people hve piped in and said everything I wanted to say..lol Especially Rachel!!! I was gonna say tan tooo!! I know it is not a healthy solution but it will make you feel better- I swear. I am 2 inches shorter and outweight you by 20 pounds (get a mental pic..lol). I HATE my arms. Arms and secound chin. I was really really worried about both in my pictures but really there are only a couple where I even pick either of them out. Also I did buy a bunch of tank tops for the trip and I wear them now with confidance! I guess I got over it too. Find a dress that brings attention to your new boobs (I am jealous...lol) and you will not even notice your arms! Who looks at arms anyways?? You are gonna focus on your dress, make up and hair and not even look at your arms! I am serious-look at my signature pic. It is a close up of my arms (I know his hands are on them but you can still tell how wide they are) and I still love the picture! You will look and feel beautful. I am 100% sure of that!
  6. Thanks Tara! I had such a wonderful week and there still has not been a day that I have not thought about it atleast 100 times a day! LOL I almost get sad when I get on this forum cause my planning is over. It was so relaxing and wonderful! I am thrilled to have married my husband but I want to do it all over again! Realistically it will be along time before we will be able to go back:-( The next two years we have plans to take the kids out west and then the next year on a cruise and then if things go well we are going to take another Sandals vaction alone!! Whoohooo!!LOL Dedra- It is a 4 oz bottle. You get alittle carring case with shampoo, conditioner, lotion and aloe. I used a combination of mine and the provided shampoo so I still had some left. My friend did run out of hers while we were there and asked for more but they told her she would have to buy it at the Red Lane Spa. I worried about the weight of my suitcase too and so I put it on my scale at home so I had an idea of what it weighed. I was surpised to see it only weighed like 30 pounds. I was there 7 days and had plenty! Make sure you allow enough weight to bring things home (like rum cream...lol)! I also had put my dress in a garment bag and there was enough room to put some other things in it so I put all mine and my husbands wedding stuff in it and used it as a carry on to save weight in the checked bags.. When got to the resort I took it out and hung it up with the doors to our room open. What little wrinkles I had come out. Just an FYI. I did have my hair done. Karry-Ann, our onsite wedding planner, made the appointments while we were meeting with her. Having my hair done took a full 2 hours so you might want to count on that. We were gonna eat between having our hair done and wedding and did not have time. It was ok though.
  7. I love this show! I got into about 1/2 way through last year. I have TVio yet stayed up til 11pm watching (after a late saturday night!) and then couldn't sleep! Man it was a rough Monday...lol Can't wait for next weeks episode.
  8. Congrats and welcome. I am a Sandals Grande Ocho Rios bride so if there are any questions you have, ask away. BTW there is a Sandals/Beaches forum you might want to check out.

Read the manual too because there is a ton of stuff I had no idea was available on it too..plus its fun to play around with all the color swapping!! After reading this post that I went and read the book. I did figure out how to do the color swap thing and have a great pic of my 2 year old in her blue bathing suit. I love the black and white with the blue standing out!
  10. I think I have decided against wearing my wedding dress at the AHR. I really loved it but I think I want something shorter (easy to dance in) that I can comfortably wear all night. I think I still want a white dress though. My problem is I am not tiny and sometimes the selections suck! I wear a 16 or 18. Does anyone know a good place to get a short white dress in my size that is around (or under) $100
  11. Ok, so I am not trying to be totally cheep but I found them at Walmart for $49. We had totally planned on getting it at the local Jewler here in my hometown that everyone swears by around here. It was $215. Well, a friend of mine's sister told me about Walmart carring them so I checked them out. They had one just like the one we were gonna get at Laudicks. So I read the reviews. I was really leary about getting jewlery from Walmart. I did not find alot but what I did was good. We decided to save the $165 and go with Walmart. He wears it all the time now with no problems. The only problem I could see would be the selection and the fact they only carry size 10 and 11, I belive. He wore the 11 so we were ok. Also I really do not tell anyone that we bought it at Walmart...lol Here is the link to Walmart Walmart.com: Men's 8mm Tungsten Band: Rings This is not the ring we got my husband but this is the only one online. His looks more like this: MATTINO Tungsten Carbide Ring I really really like it alot!

I still havn't figured out how to do the color swap though. I guess I need to break down and read the book..lol My friend that went to Jamaica with us took her Kodak. Her pictures are sooo much clearer. I have actually replaced some of her pics with some of mine. The problem might have been the camera though. The day after we got home from Jamaica the camera quit working. My SIL (the one who bought it) just happened to be at the house when it did and she took it back to Best Buy. I have not gotten any of the pics off the replaced camera developed yet so maybe there was a problem with it
  13. September 15th You take life as it is, and you find happiness in a variety of things. TrueYou tend to be close to family and friends. But it's hard to get into your inner circle. I am not sure I have an inner circle. I am lucky enought to have lots of close friends and I love to have them all mingle plus anyone they want to include. The more the merrier! Making the little things wonderful is important to you, and you probably have an inviting home. I do. Especially since we bought a couple of years ago. You seek harmony with others, but occasionally you have a very stubborn streak. Depends who you ask! I give in easily to my husband. Your strength: Your intense optimism always! Your weakness: You shy away from exploring your talents I have talents..lol Your power color: Jade Your power symbol: Flower Your power month: June I got pregnant in June- twice! So I guess so. I just thought it was a good month...lol
  14. Anyone notice that the three of us that was at SGOR have the same general picture as our new signature pic?? Sorry I know that is off topic but we are all posted one after the other.

It is funny you say this cause last night it came to me that we would just make a speech saying how happy we were that my parents put so much work into it and how surprised we were. I also put my sister-in-law on the case. She is gonna check things out for me..lol Her wedding was just a year ago so I know she understands. She said thier idea for centerpieces is cute but she is not sure of everything after that. I think I am just going to sit back, relax and just let things happen. It will be just like my wedding:-) Relaxed and a wonderful time.
  16. What was your favorite: Restaurant (and dish): I really like the steak with Blue cheese at Valentino. I forget what it was actually called. I LOVED the Jamaican Smiles from any of the bars...lol Hang out place: There are soo many places. The pool on the Riviera side near the water sports. It was never terribly busy. The pool with the slide on the Manor side is where we had most of our laughs. Our room was great and I loved sitting my balcony reading first thing in the morning. The hidden pool was pretty cool too. Oh and the Pier has swings you can sit in and just look out into the ocean. Bar/Lounge: The bar in the Riviera building but only cause our favorite bartender Milton worked there. :-) Excursion: River tubing but I liked Coyaba Gardens and Dunns River alot too. Included Activity: LIke everyone else said, the glass botton boat. We did all the water activities and really liked the wind sailing too.
  17. OK so this whole AHR thing has been on my mind the last few days. I know we are having one. It is in July. I really tried to cancel it in January but my mom, SIL and friends talked me into it. So I got into the idea of it. Mostly a DIY reception. Lots of help from family and friends. We have the hall rented and DJ reserved. My cousin is making our cake (she does this on the side) and my brother should have been a chef so he is doing the main course and a couple of other family member are pitching in to help with side dishes. My problem is I wanted help but not as much as I am getting. My parents decided to "surprise" me with all the decorations and do not want me to do a thing. Today my dad tells me that they do not want me to know a thing about it at all until the day of. The only thing they want us to do is provide any alcohol we might want. Sadly, I doubt my parents taste. I know that is horrible but my mom will buy things solely cause they are on sale. I really do not want to hurt my parents feelings at all. They have done sooo much for me and WANT to do this for me since they were not able to actually go to the wedding (my father has been an amputee for just over a year and travel would have been too difficult) I guess they see it as a huge help but I see it as a source of stress. I feel i need to let them do this. I already had my perfect wedding and they were not there so I don't feel a strong urge to controll the reception but I still want it to be tasteful. I know I am going to let them but I just need support from you wonderful ladies telling me I am making my parents (who are wonderful) happy. I just need sympathy and support...LOL
  18. Just like everyone is saying, the economy sucks! I sat less than 2 months before my wedding crying, seriously considering cancelling and it was just us and another couple going. When we planned the trip a year prior, things were good. My husband works for Fleetwood Motor homes. When fuel prices are up people are not buying motor homes and that directly effects how many hours he works. They work a couple of weeks and are off a couple. He gets unemployment and it really is only $70 less than an average check but that adds up when you have a family already. Needless to say we worked it out and the whole time we were there we never gave a thought to who couldn't come, how much money we had at home or the small things we eliminated. Everything was perfect, beauiful and I would do it exactly the same 100 times again! Hang tight and make your decisions based on what you want. If people can come, they will and if not you will still be a bautiful bride that you can share wonderful pictures of!
  19. They are beautiful- how do you pic a favorite?? I love them all!
  20. Here it is! Cindy was just taking pictures around the resort. I think that was our last night!
