  1. I am kinda frustrated now. I called Spirit Air today and they said that inorder for me to take my wedding dress as a carry-on I would have to be able to fold it and put it in the overhead compartment. My dress is light and not too bulky but still, I really do not want to do this. I was told other airlines would store it in the captins closet. I am really wishing I would have researched this alittle better!!!
  2. I am not sure if you have found the answer to your question or not but you can go cheeper by doing the ala carte photos, they also will not admit it over the phone but you can also buy the negatives (in the form of a Cd from what I understand) and if you order 12 pics you het 24 negitives and if you buy 24 you get 48. Make sense? This is what I am told by another Sandals Bride who recently returned. Actually 2 different ones have agree they do this. HOpe that helps!
  3. I am sooo relived to hear that there are definatly good experiences. It makes me feel much better. Anyone ever travel with a wedding dress on Spirit??
  4. I know people generally only leave comments when they have something bad to say. That is what I kept telling my fiance' but he has in his head that it is gonna be bad. He worries way tooo much..lol I just was hoping to get some good comments to help ease both our minds alittle
  5. We just recently booked our airfare and since have read some really horrible reviews!!We decided to go with the ecomomy airline SpiritAir since we have spent so much on the wedding. I know you get what you pay for but now I am really worried about delays and overbooking. Someone even mentioned in one review that they ran out of fuel on one trip and had to stop at a Miltary base to fill up and was stranded there for 3 hours!! So has anyone flown this airline and can give me some reassurance?? I am flying from Detroit, MI to Montego bay in May. Thanks!!!
  6. I Like the secound one!! It is very simular to one of the dresses I fell in love with. I ultimatly went with a dress my mom helped me pick out just because she is not going to be able to be there. It was a hard decision though. Just give it a couple of days to think it over!
  7. I like the pier because it is really close to the water. I am really hoping there is something alittle more private that is still close (I was told you can have it as private or as public as you want). I saw picture were a couple were right by the water but where on rocks. It was beautiful. I am not sure if it was Sandals Grande or Dunns River though My FH is alittle shy hates to be center of any attention. I am the opposite but want to respect his wishes...lol This is one of the reasons we are getting married in Jamaica! Funny thing is, my family talked us into a reception!! He is ok with that but I really did not give him a choice..lol
  8. I saw something that was a very cute idea on another site. Someone made invitations/itinerary packs all in one. It was a really fun. I tried finding it but couldn't (theweddingchannel.com) but she used an invitations as the front page and then had a couple of other pages with info about the trip and it was all tied together with a pretty blue bow. Another thing you might want to do is just send out wedding announcements.
  9. Wedding Planning - Wedding Dresses - Wedding Gifts - Wedding Website There seems to be quite a bit of Sandals brides on there. Infact, someone posted a link to this site and that is how I ended up here. Once you get into the site, go to community and then message boards. Have fun!
  10. Thanks for posting the pics!!I keep going to youtube.com and searching to get ideas too. Not too much has came up. I have seen some really pretty ceremonies, but not alot of Sandals weddings. I cannot wait to actually get there and pick out our location!
  11. I am apart of another message board and a lot of the brides there are talking about buying thier pictures Ala Carte and then buying the picture CD. I was having trouble getting ahold of my wedding planner so I called into the main Sandals number and spoke to someone one the phone there. She told me they were not supposed to tell us we can order the CD but we can. It is $200. SO if you Order 24 ala carte picture you get 48 negitives. When my wedding planner did get back to me she denied being able to do this (she was just doing her job). I have spoken to a couple of different ladies who have infact done the ala cart and ordered the negitives so I am going to bank on being able to do this. Also, I am not sure if everyone knows this or not but you have to have everything paid for 30 days prior to the wedding. This includes pictures, extra flowers, extra decorations, the food, hair and make up. No one had mentioned this to me from Sandals. I learned it through other brides so I thought i would pass that on too.
  12. Thanks everyone for the welcome! It is exciting to know there are lots of other people who are going through the same phases!
  13. I just thought of something. Does anyone have photos of the different wedding sites? The coordinator says she cannot give any photos of those due to privacy issues.
  14. I am also a Sandals Bride. We are getting married May 18th at Sandles Grand. We decide to upgrade to an Ocean front room. My FH has never seen the ocean so I want to make this is awsome as possible for him!!!
