  1. I really like this idea and was thinking of doing something similar. I haven't decided between the shells or crystal beads. Let me know if you want to sell them after your wedding.
  2. Happy Planning! Jamaica is a very cool place.

Welcome! Do you have a list of priorities you're looking in for a resort? There's a ton of great info on this forum. Happy planning.
  4. I jumped on your mom because Big Bird said to and he's my leader. If I said this out loud they would probably make me share a room with Brittany Spears.
  5. You will have a wonderful day! The hairstyle will look great on you. Can't wait to hear all about it.
  6. I've never heard of the dye-sublimination. I'm interested in looking into it for my invitations. I own both an ink-jet and laser printer. My eyes love the look of the laser print so I rarely use my inkjet for anything. My laser is b&w but FI will try to use his color laser printer at work. I heard Kinko's is expensive. Have you looked into a local print shop. I know the other members highly recommend Vistaprint.
  7. I've been to Margaritaville in Ocho Rios and it gets packed you'll have fun but people don't start getting there until late from what I remember. My only advice is whoever drops you off (cab driver) make sure he picks you up.
  8. I've seen them in the $1 section in the Target by my house. I think that the guests will really appreciate this. Its always nice to try and say a few words "hello" or "thank you" when you're in another country.
  9. Jaime sorry if I missed some parts of this thread but did you get any antibiotics, the z-pak that Leia mentioned? It has been working for people in my area. You cannot get hydrocodone/guaifenesin together but you can get hydrocone and guaifenesin separately. I recommend sucking on Cepacol lozegers in addition to the phenergan with codeine. The phenergan w/ codeine just helps with cough. You can buy mucinex DM (pills) which has the guaifensin and suppress cough to break down the mucus. You already have hydrocodone and naproxen so that will help your kidney stones and your throat. Everyone tells me that they feel like they're swallowing razor blades. Did they give you any inhalers? I'm worried that you do have bronchitis, do you have any chest tightness? Any chills? Nose congestion? The cepacol max strength will help numb the pain a little. I've been working so much b/c everyone is coming in sick. Some doctors are giving out both antibiotics and viral rx (Tamiflu) b/c they not sure of the source. Are there any free clinics in your area, I usually send people to a clinic where they charge $20 for service. Try to get plenty of rest so your immune system will work better at rest.
  10. I agree with Morgan you should talk to your aunt and uncle first. Maybe they just wanted to hang out with your aunt/uncle after the wedding day and hadn't planned on attending. I wouldn't spend another $100 on OOT bags if out of your budget. If they are planning on attending. I would let your aunt share their invitation and other things with them. They are your aunt's guests not yours. Long story short: I had a "maybe guest" who showed up extra at my good friend's wedding so I gave a bigger "monetary gift" to cover any inconvenience.
  11. You mean "asian glow" Jean Marcus hehe. Not to bore anyone but if you're interested: You have enzymes called aldehyde dehydrogenase which is suppose to break down the alcohol. Others too but mainly Asians lack some of this or all of it and it accumulates in the body causing flushing "redness". I'm guessing you're turning red b/c you don't have a lot of this type of enzyme or its just not working fast enough. I've been pretty lucky I don't get too red when I drink but I get sleepy (no fun!)
  12. I have never stayed overnight there but I did witness a beach wedding, it was very beautiful.
  13. We were originally going to get marry in Sept in Cabo but with the help of everyone on this forum and internet searching Sept was smack in the middle of hurricane season. Your wedding in July should be fine. Maybe they got confused with somewhere else?
  14. Thanks for everyone's input. I spoke with O&O, the 28% does include service charges and we are getting a lot of services included in our wedding package. I tried negotiating to see if they can throw anything else into my package. No such luck.
  15. Lactaid milk makes a Fat-free milk as well as regular. If you can handle the taste of skim milk then Lactaid fat-free shouldn't taste any different. In some people as you age, you start to lose the enzymes lactase used to to break down sugar (lactose ) found in milk ect. Some people still have more than others and can tolerate using Lactaid pills found in most pharmacies. Some say it doesn't work for them. It is prevalent in some ethnic groups but anyone can be affected by it. You just have to see which dairy products you can tolerate without discomfort some people can eat only certain cheese, some can eat ice cream just fine.
  16. I love seeing pics. Thanks for sharing. Everyone looks so nice!
  17. We were thinkin go of having the ceremony first in Mexico then coming back to get married legally in US. We were told that if you marry towards the end of the year (like we are) you will be taxed as a couple as if you were married since the beginning of the year. So we're holding off to legally marry until Jan 09.
  18. Super cute dress! If you like the dress but want it longer maybe try getting it custom made?
  19. IMO: Wynn: Hands down my absolute favorite. I've stayed in different rooms and they're all great. I think they have the best service out of all the hotels in LV ie.white glove doorman. Most comfortable beds. Little flat screen in bathroom. Cesars: Rooms were nice, new tower is modern looking but not as nice as the Wynn. Service is so so. Best shopping here. I don't gamble here I never win. Bellagio: Didn't like the room decor. Atmosphere is not exciting for me. Great sightseeing place. Venetian: Gotta love their 24 hour jacuzzi. All rooms are suites, great for bachelorette parties. Mandalay bay: Very classy, nice rooms. Crowd a little too old for me. This is my mom's favorite. End of the strip, not convenient to hotel hop. Rum jungle (club/lounge),haven't been there in awhile but it was always a good place to start the night. MGM: Used to like it but way too smoky for me now. Rooms can use a little renovation. Treasure Island: If standard room then its very basic. Just to change/shower kind of place. They usually have good deals with their rooms. One of the better suites I've stayed in. One of the suites had 2 separate bathrooms. I've never stayed in Downtown but I love it, it is so cheesy. I love gambling down there.
