I've been searching through the previous reviews and posts and am still a bit confused on using an outside photographer at ROR. It's my understanding that if using an outside photographer who is a guest staying at the hotel then the fee (in the past at least) is $200 + videography services. However, what happens if you use a photographer from Jamaica? Do you just need a day pass or is there an additional fee? Sorry as I'm a 2009 bride I still haven't been able to officially book my wedding and thus can't contact Chandyln directly for these questions. But as were now less than a year away I would like to start setting our budget. Also, has anyone used a photographer from Jamaica that they would or would not recommend? I was looking at Brian Nejedly... any thoughts?

Quick questoin about your cake... had you talked to Chandyln before about oursorcing it... or was that all figured out once you got down there?

I asked the same question a bit ago and was suggested to go to MensWarehouse. Not sure if you have one in the area. I also talked to someone at Banana Republic and they "thought" they would have a bit more variety for lighter tan suits in the next month. However, the price would probably be the same.

Just wondering if anyone else bought a second dress for the TTD? After seeing all the great pictures on this site I really want to do it! But my mom would not be too happy if I did it in my actual dress, and I'm not so sure I want to use that one either. Would it be weird to order a second one (hopefully cheap off of ebay, prom racks or something) to use for the TTD session? And for those who used your actual dress... was the dress pretty much ruined afterwards? or was it okay after dry cleaning? I know I will never be wearing it again... but it's just one of those sentimental things.

Haha... then I realized he was invisioning the 3 of us trying to make cute hand made ones like yours. I quickly told him that I will be ordering mine and having them screenprinted, due the lack of artistic ability he gave us! p.s. I love the bags. They are really cute and probably a bit more budget friendly. Where did you order those from?

We chose Jamaica after recommendations from family who had been to Jamaica, DR, and various places in Mexico. Also, it sounded like a fun destination that the majority of guests hadn't been to. We knew we wanted an all-inclusive, that was budget friendly for our family and college age friends. After seeing pictures of Riu Ocho Rios and reading some of the reviews on this board, I knew ROR was the place for us! (and luckily my wonderful fiance is letting me do pretty much whatever I want as long as he agrees).

I love lace, so I love the first one as well! It was one of my favorites when I was dress shopping. The third dress is really flattering though as well... so its a toss up. Go with your gut though! I quickly realized mine was "the one" when I couldn't stop thinking about it and looking at the pictures. So much fun!

I would love to buy my girls their dresses... I think it would be a great gesture. However, it's just not in my budget. I think if its in the budget, go for it... the girls would really appreciate it.

I think it would be just fine for them to wear different colors. I think thye complement eachother very well! I love the MOH dress style... I don't remember seeing it when I was flipping through their catalogue. I know you said they no longer have the color, but do they still have the style? If so, what was the name?

These are so cute! I love the idea as I was thinking about going barefoot. Has anyone wore them before? Do they catch on the bottom of the dress at all? They seem smooth so they shouldn't... but just curious.

Have fun and take lots of pictures!!! Dress shopping is my current favorite activity... its so much fun. But I have to agree... don't go on an empty stomach... it can get to be a long day!

Thanks Tammy and everyone else! I am in love with this site and am quite addicted as well. I can't imagine planning my wedding w/o this site and all the wonderful information. I am new and have found everyone to be so helpful... my mom couldn't believe it when I said I had over 50 vote on my dress selection and give input. Just wanted to thank everyone who took my poll and gave input on my dress choices! I have officially decided that the first one is THE ONE after obsessing over it all week! I found another Maggie in the same style that was actually the right size to try on... I found I love the fit of the dress but that Treasure is the dress for me! To make things even better I found a store that has it on sale for $200 less! I'm not sure why or how it is so much less... but I have emailed them now twice confirming the price and they keep telling me, that yes thats it! Everywhere else quotes higher and says the only way to get a "sale" price is to buy it off the rack (but they don't have it in my size). Does that seem weird that one store is cheaper? I know Maggie is pretty particular about keeping dresses in the same price range... has anyone dealt with something similar? The store is listed on Maggie's website as an authorized seller and I have a friend who used them w/o a problem. I am worried it's too good to be true. I am going Monday to meet with them and get it ordered. Keep your fingers crossed for me!
