  1. We got the same EXACT one in letter "S" and in gold. I am currently working on adding the "bling" factor right now with some swarovski crystals. I will post when I'm done.

Just walked in my door - I need for you to make a post on the BDW forum to warn all girls that are planning on bringing in outside photog & any destination wedding photogs that have weddings booked there. I have never in my life been as scared as I was yesterday evening (my last night at the resort) - the goons at the Photoshop had one of the bellboys come threaten me during (another bride's) reception in the disco. He was trying to pull me out, demanding my room #, etc. Was so glad it was my last day there & would be leaving this am. I am going to lodging a formal complaint with the main office of the RIU, and so is the bride - she was livid!!! I'll also put out there that we had ABSOLUTELY NO PROBLEMS AT ALL with Michael or Photoshop. We booked a FREE package - and Michael is not notified of those weddings. HOpefully, if you book the free package and bring an outside photographer nobody will bother you... Bumping for all the people that did not see Heidi's message!!

The person that I've been corresponding with at the main office said that you would just need to purchase a day pass if your photgrapher is not staying on the resort.....i don't know where this $200 bucks came from! Read my earlier post on this page.
  4. I'm not paying a breaching fee....i got a letter from the main headquarters. Here is what was said: Hi Carolina, I have a question regarding Michael, the Photographer, at Riu Ocho Rios Resort. I indicated to him that I will be having a close family friend who I requested to take some pictures during the wedding. She will be a guest at the hotel for our duration of our stay. He specified that there would be a $200 charge. I'm a bit confused as to what this charge is for? Is there anyway to have this fee waived. Please explain RIU's policy regarding this matter. Thank you for addressing this issue. Have a great day! Marsha D. May 10, 2008 ROR Bride Here is her response to me: Dear Marsha, Thank you for contacting RIU Weddings Sales Department. I would like to inform you that you are able to bring your own photographer, please be aware that he needs to be a guest at the hotel or pay the day pass. I kindly inform you that you do not need to pay any fee for the pictures. If you shall require further assistance, please do not hesitate to contact me. 5. Can anyone recommend a good exercise to give your waist this curvy look --> )( I've read about side planks.........does it work? TIA!
  6. awww man!! I can't watch this at work....it's saying that I need Flash 9 installed to see the video.....i guess I will have to wait until I get home to watch it......thanks for posting!!!
  7. i had a bad feeling about this.......Robin is probably VERY recognizable by now at the Photoshop, so alot of brides can't continue to say that she is a family friend, if the photoshop guys always see her at other weddings. I can't believe that she was threatened that way!
  8. OMG!!!!! This is horrible! At least I have a letter from Riu headquarters stating that I can have my "friend", who will be a guest at the hotel take photos and won't be responsible for paying the $200 fee. I'm worried about Yolanda & 12 piece.......i hope it wasn't their ceremony that the photographer was referencing.
  9. Yayyy!!! Congrats! Everything looked great! Was this shot from a TTD........it's my favorite!!! Was this location close to the ceremony site? Also, I saw some indoor "getting ready photos"......... did you split up your time with the photographer and if so, was there an extra charge? Also, did you go to Renova Spa for your hair or did you do it yourself? It looked great!
  10. wow, these look great!! The photography is excellent! Your so pretty!! Thanks for sharing.
  11. me too!!!!!!! i've been going crazy on ebay trying to find a cute "brazilian suit"....so far, I've already purchased 4. I know.......I'm outta control.....lol
  12. Now that Heidi mentioned that she did her BD shoot in Jamaica, I'm thinking about doing one also. If anyone has done a BD or TTD shoot in JA, post pics!!! I would love to see some exotic locations and get some ideas. I'm thinking about sneaking away to do my BD shoot (if i build up the courage) while hubby is doing a tour with his family.
  13. I also read that someone got breakfast in bed with the "Free" package.
  14. Heidi.......yayyy, your review!! I've been waiting for this one. Everything sounds like it was perfect (except for your food selections) but other than that, it sounds like you guys had a blast. Question: You were not the first bride that said that the steel drum band did not play the correct song. What in the world were they playing? I wonder if they even know what Canon D sounds like. Alot of brides that come back from ROR say that about the steel band.......hmmm....weird!
  15. you are the reason that I decided to do a shoot for my future hubby! Your pics are smmookkkiinnn!!!!!!!
  16. you have to upload it to a free photoshare site, like photobucket or snapfish and then you copy the IMG tag into the body of your post. The pic should appear that way.
  17. what about the photgrapher? Can he/she use your images for any type of advertising? that's what I'm afraid of.
  18. Where do you keep these? After hubby sees them, what do you do with them? Do you keep them in a photo album......do you tuck them under your bed? I'm thinking about doing a BD Session, but i have no idea of what to do with the pictures after everything is all said and done. Also, does the photographer have the right to use these pictures for anything.......somebody help me......i'm so clueless right now!!
  19. ooohhhhh that sounds GREAT!! I can't wait for the pics and your full review.....okay, i promise no more questions......(for now at least..lol)
  20. yep, unfortuanelty......i have lots of family that lives in JA. I am paying for my family members plus 1 guest to come onto the resort to attend the wedding. other U.S. Guests that are coming but planning on not staying at the resort (I am not paying for.....i just notified them saying that it is recommended that they stay at the resort, but if they choose not to, there will be a $50 Riu entry fee.
  21. wow, i would have been FREAKIN OUT about my hair, but yours turned out beautifully!! Robin is the best! If i had the money, i would have went with her too. OOOoohhhh, I can't wait to see your pics!!! Did you do a TTD session?
