  1. Part 2: I am going to only use the pendant. I plan on putting it on an invisible clear line, so that it looks as if it is just “sitting” on my skin by itself. I will probably wear crystal studs for my earings. My dual crystal headband: I plan on wearing my hair like this: My ceremony clutch: My ceremony shoes: The Reception Ordered Chocolate Table runners. These will be placed on the white linen that Riu already offers Personalized Menu’s on shimery paper More to come.............

Excuse the back.......i didn't have anybody their to tie it for me. :-( More to come…………..
  3. why does men having fun seem to equal = naked women......i vote HELL to the NAW!!!! that's completely disrespecful to me. Right before we get married, I'm busy doing last minute stuff for the wedding and invisioning my future with this man, and he's off somewhere having women "sit" on him and putting their boobs in his face. Plleeeaasseee!!! There are other ways to celebrate. I'm certainly not feeling the idea of strippers!!! and not to mention..........spending good money to see naked women, hell no!!! And plus, i'm not sure that FI would be too pleased if I was spending my hard earned money to see a long hard......"you know what" being smacked around in my face....lol
  4. That's a great idea. I'll pick up a local souvenier (sp) for her.

Carly.........surprisingly, it was HIS idea....go figure!!!!
  7. I'm toying with the idea of trying to pull off something like this, but let me what you guys think. Watch the entire thing. YouTube - Surprise wedding first dance by Clay Family! U GOTTA C IT!!!
  8. was the videographer there for your first dance? I would like to capture that on DVD. How much extra is it, for them to stay (or can you break up the time that you have with them.......like ceremony, half hour at dinner, half hour at disco/reception site, etc)
  9. That's all they did when i got my papers notorized. Double check since you are in London.
  10. When you get it notorized, they stamp it with a special hand machine, and also, a log is kept along with your fingerprints.
  11. I am going to tie my sashes like this instead of the regular way: and I am going to request that Chandlyn set up the area like this.....with a curved look:
  12. Is it common to give a gift to your TA for handling your group? If so, what are some good ideas for gifts. Thanks!
  13. We booked the steel band, so they will be playing while our guests are being seated.
  14. My group travel agent is requesting the name of the Riu Ocho Rios Resort General Manger. She is interested in sending him/her a letter of introduction. I requested this info from Chandlyn some time ago, but she never got back to me. Does anyone have the manager's name and email? Thanks!

I'm already way over on my OOT bag budget, so it's either Maxim or nothing for the guys. I don't plan on paying news stand prices for magazines. I am putting in a travel booklet already. Wouldn't a local newspaper be in spanish? It's not so important I give the guys a magazine. I just always pass our magazines on to someone else so I thought this might be a good way to do it. I pile them up and when friends come over I offer them magazines. Sort of like recycling. You don't have to appologize for your opinion. This thread was started to get opinions. I have found it pretty interesting to see the varying opinions. If I was buying the magazine off the rack, I probably would pick something else. Actually, the main reason why we get Maxim, is because it was one of the ones on the list of $2 per year magazines I thought we might enjoy. Not to sound funny but would you feel comfortable putting Chipndale's in the OOT bags for the women with families attending your wedding. I'm sorry, but to me, some things are just inappropriate........especially for a wedding. However, I think Money, & Kiplingers is a great idea. It's neutral and informative. Grandpa, mom, cousin, auntie.......everyone can read it. I didn't check to see where you were having your wedding.......so yes, the local papers may be in spanish. I am having my wedding in Jamaica, so the local papers are in English, but to give you a heads up, i contacted the Jamaica Travel Board and they sent me 100 FREE brochures featuring all of the tourist attractions and local venues. I didn't even have to pay for shipping. I will be including that in our OOT boxes.
  16. First of all, don't beat me up for saying this but....... In my opinion, i don't think it's tasteful. Especially for a wedding. If you have to ask "should I", I wouldn't bother. There are so many other mags to use instead.......why Maxim Something more appropiate may be a travel booklet of the place where you are having your wedding, or a "Local" newspaper from that country. Are you having mixed ages attend? I'm not sure if you are catering your wedding towards men, but I certainly would not want to open up an OOT bag and pull out a Maxim mag. Sorry folks.....just giving my honest opinion.
  17. Are the tables really laid out like this? I'm trying to do my seating chart and i'm having a hard time because certain people will complain being so far away from the bride and groom's table........for example, if i put my parents at table 1 (table closest to the front), then FI's parents will be "Behind" my parents........is there any other way to arrange the tables?
  18. I am using this idea for my guestbook. Everyone will fill out a card and drop it in our treasure box.
  19. oh, i didn't even think about music for signing the papers. I guess I will have the steel band play something since they will be there. Ochibride........I wanna know the answer to that also, because I'm not even having a bridal party. Just my Fiance's parents walk first, then both of mine will walk me down.
  20. Thanks for the update Heather!! Congrats on your wedding..... Any pics? We wanna see :-)
  21. Did anyone upgrade their cake..........if so, post pics!! And also state how many people it fed. I'm trying to decide if i should go with the upgrade or the free one. I'm having close to 100 people, so i'm not sure if the "free" cake will feed all of my guests.
  22. OMG 12 piece.......12 more days to go! Yes, you will be the test dummy for all of us :-) I'm sure you will be beautiful!!
