  1. Hey DJs... We're just doing a run-through/rehearsal of the wedding the day before with the pastor. All of our guests get their on different dates and I have no idea how in the world I'd coordinate everyone together for dinner anyway so I'm hoping by word of mouth, maybe, on the first night we're there, we can get a private area for all of our guests in one of the restaurants... but another thing is I realize everyone is on vacatino so I don't want them to feel like I'm bombarding them with 'be here, do this, then this day is the wedding, etc." Most likely we will just do our rehearsal/walk through of the weddign with the weddign part. Short, sweet, fast. LOL.

  3. ^^ Thanks, Maura. Do you think I should add something else to the BM bags? You seem so organized LOL
  4. Problems I see are: how do you corodinate three ladies when one lives abroad? Hey chica, I can TOTALLY relate... two of our groomsmen live in Europe, while the others are stateside. We just told them all to get khaki colored linen suits. LOL. I know it's going to be hella interesting. I say to just get the dress anyway and see how it fits. Is she by any chance your maid of honor? My maid of honor, my sister, is wearing a different dress than the rest of my bridesmaids... I am sorry and I understand how difficult it can be when everyone is all over the place.
  5. ^^ Thanks, Rachel Here are some more: Cake: Bridesmaids: Jr. Bridesmaids: The groomsmen are wearing khaki linen suits.
  6. Cake: Bridesmaids: Jr. Bridesmaids: The groomsmen are wearing khaki linen suits. AND we've had SEVEN people in the last four days tell us they are coming to our wedding with only 15 days to go. LOL! You gotta love the last-minute folks. How funny is that? I love it!
  7. My veil (it has little swarovski crystals that didn't photograph well at all): Shoes: My dress, but it's "light gold": Bridesmaids bags: There are flips flops, the team bride tee, a candle, lip glosses, nail polish, emory board, memo pad, a magnet, and a Thank you note. Do you think that is okay? Should I add something else to the the maids' bags? I was wondering about that?. Please advise... When I go for the final fitting, I will post more pics....
  8. Please forgive me if this is in the wrong thread... My garter, guestbook, sand ceremony equipment, and save the date magnet: Our wedding invitation and the box it came in/we mailed it in: Our wine wedding favors and the bags we are placing them in: Mints and matches that say our names (we're putting the mints on everyone;s plates when they walk in for dinner...they are wrapped in red tulle): The Banana Republic Model in his suit: And Jorge (forgive him for not wedding a shirt... he thinks he's sooo coool!): Flower girl dress and basket (my mother has the ring bearer outfit):

  10. ^^ Manda... I am really sorry to hear about the venue issues but am glad you were able to negotiate something. All right, chicas... I am glad to report that being scatterbrained has helped for once: I swore my final fitting was this Saturday but it's actually the following Sat., which means I will be able to sleep in tomorrow morning.... (Tonight's my bachelorette party and tomorrow is also my bridal shower--I pray I'm not too hungover!) LOL. I will have pics of that for you guys. And here are some pics I took of my planning, etc. : My garter, guestbook, sand ceremony equipment, and save the date magnet: Our wedding invitation and the box it came in/we mailed it in: Our wine wedding favors and the bags we are placing them in: Mints and matches that say our names (we're putting the mints on everyone;s plates when they walk in for dinner...they are wrapped in red tulle): The Banana Republic Model in his suit: And Jorge (forgive him for not wedding a shirt... he thinks he's sooo coool!): Flower girl dress and basket (my mother has the ring bearer outfit):
  11. Traditionally the bridal shower is for the bride and women only. We are doing a mixed-gender "bride and groom" shower with all our fam/friends. We also were not going to register since we thought people coming to our wedding was insane enough, but people kept asking every five seconds so one day I went after work and registered for some things.
  12. I just heard this on the news this morning. WTF? And one of the father's is a 24 year old homeless man. When I was 17, I was TERRIFIED of having a baby. The thought never even entered my mind.................
  13. I'm a July bride and we started our thread about 4 months out before our weddings and now it's upon and it and it goes by soooooooooooooooooooooooooo fast!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! COnGRATS TO YOU ALL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  14. Okay. This thread has officially made me HUNGRY! Everything sounds so delicious! You could always do a fruit salad, too. Not sure if that was mentioned, Yvette.
  15. ^^ you could do cupcakes, cookies, brownies, chocolates. it sounds so delicious! When is your shower?
  16. Welcome back! I cant' wait to hear all about it! It looks like so much fun and these pics are lovely! The ocean looks gorgeous and the ones with the flowergirl oceanside with her dress caught in the wind with her mom? are soooooooooo cute!
  17. You could send out just a quick letter to all your invited guests stating, Hello everyone, Just wanted to update to you on our wedding: it will be held at XXX place at XXX date at XXX time. For travel arrangements, please see/call XXX and list your website. it never hurts. Some people never check the internet or their email so it's prob a good idea cause everyone checks their mail.
  18. Maybe some meatballs or chicken wings.. only because some people may not eat shrimp (allergies), etc.
  19. Call her and ask if she is coming to your wedding. Say, I haven't heard from you at all and am wondering what is up. From there, go on. If she starts being wishy-washy, you have your answer... Good luck, chica!
  20. Awesome! And seriously...for a dollar...they cannot be beat!!!!!!!!!! I am addicted to word finds
  21. My dress came with a sash and a purse, unbeknowst to me, which was kind of cool. I doubt I'll even need the sash but I'll def use the purse for lipstick, room key, etc. You could always try one of those boutique stores or something like Group USA.
