Rachel, I am so sorry to hear you are going through this. I can only imagine how devastating this must be. But you are right. It's so much better figuring this out before you go through with the wedding an dpossibly children later. And it also leaves open the fact that you're The One is out there. You just haven't met him yet. Or have you? Sending you lots of hugs through this time.

It's really going to depend on what time of the year you go, which travel agent you use or where you book from, what resort you choose, how many guests, etc. I would start by looking at a few resorts you like, email the WC's to send you the wedding packages, price them out and see which are in your budget (Was a PC bride last month!)

I think it's a great BM gift, especially for a DW!!! Everyone always wants a new swimsuit when going on vacation anyway.

That's how J was. I refused to show him my dress until I was up at the altar athe pastor told him to turn to see me. LOL. I just "suggested" to him that he should wear something light and linen was prob a good choice since it's HOT in the Caribbean. He was perfect. He picked out a whit elinen suit and red tie. You'll just have to go with it or casually 'suggest' things to him subliminally. LOL. J's argument was always, I didn't pick out your dress, so you shouldn't pick out my suit. Fair enough for me. I am glad I got to choose my own dress.

Barefoot, let's hear about it! How'd it go? Katrina, you have a very cool last name I still haven't gotten around to doing anything with mine. LOL. Can't wait til Maura comes back with pictures!!! I was wondering... are any of you thinking babies now? I have been on the pill FOREVA and was thinking about going off them but couldn't do it this month. I guess I'm scared LOL. But I think within the next year sounds good. I def have baby on the brain a little.

I agree with Yari. Send the invite and don't say a thing. If you say, Well a spot opened up, they will def feel like an afterthought. PLUS, I sent out invitations on the SAME day and some of my relatives didn't get them until THREE weeks after the rest of them AND, the best one, was a friend of mine, who went to the wedding got her invitation (which I mailed in April) A WEEK after our wedding in July! Hilarious, right? LOL All mailed the same day.

I've seen that show & it is madness! But I guess they can hold tha many weddings. I feel really bad for the WC. She has got to feel stressed out all the time! Especially with that one couple that was like an hour late to the wedding! The day we married, we were the only wedding. Our WC said they never book two in a day cause it's so much work. LOL.

Tvt, I ordered some Bare Minerals from an infomercial I saw and while I did use it for two weeks or so, I wouldn't buy it again. I didn't think therre was anything amazing about it and while I like that it is 'bare', it just wasn't something I'd invest more $ in.

Haha. We are opposites. My mother and sister REALLY wanted me to do a welcome dinner and all this other stuff and I said, No way, since everyone's on vaca and want to do their own thing, plus they'll have my wedding to attend. But I ended up beign swayed and set up a "meet and greet" for the night before the wedding in the hotel lobby so everyone could say Hello to eachother. Thing is, it didn't even end up happening because we were busy finalizing our wedding details with the WC and we had rehearsal that same day. LOL. Nothing ever goes as planned and it was SO much fun!

Go with the one that you absolutely LOVE. When I tried mine one, I just knew. If you have that "knowing" feeling about one of them, pick it.
