  1. My trip in a few hours to the Caribbean
  2. That is SO cool! CONGRATS, chica!
  3. Hey guys... I signed up to their email reminders/sales/discounts/deals and found that they really dont offer anything wonderful/out of the ordinary. I wonder if they are even majorly affiliated with the resort besides name recognition..?
  4. Congrats on the move! Moving can be a pain but the great thing is it's so worth it when you're in your new place and you end up getting rid of a lot of stuff ya don't need!
  5. I love it! And i love the wording for the response cards It will def get everyone psyched for your wedding, dear!

I hear you about not wanting to start stuff that you can't finish! I have 50 wedding favors purchased and 40 people booked as of now but expect about 80 people, but can't say for sure. So I will buy 30 more. I just don't want to order too few or too much, you know? And DW brides are SO much more laid back it seems than these crazy bridezillas I see on tv! LOL!!!!!!!!!!!! Hooray girls, we are almost there! I leave for the Dominican Republic tonight to finalize all my last wedding details. I will come back with a full report for you guys.
  7. All right ladies... I leave tonight for Punta Cana to finalize all our last wedding details (decorations, menu, band, etc). Yay! I will come back with pictures. I know all business but I am def trying to get some beach and sun and sand time in there, too! FI said, We need to focus on the wedding and THEN go to the beach. I said, but the BEACH IS RIGHT THERE! LOL.
  8. ^^ It does look very pretty. Maybe you could bring some things from back home to spruce things up to fit in with your theme or color scheme? Try talking to the wc and see what they say.
  9. Amanda... have a WONDERFUL flight, vacation and wedding! I can't wait to see your pics when you come back and the one of your toes, too! LOL
  10. Congrats, girl! That's great! When you tweak your diet AND exercise, the results are a-ma-zing
  11. Congrats, Mandy!!!!!! I love that you got married on your birthday!

Omgosh, chica. That is nuts! We were going to go with the Majestic at first but decided against it. I say, buy the alcohol at the duty free. Maybe you can just pay the bartender to serve for you because their charge fees are outrageous!!!

On the other hand, I went out last weekend with some friends and was followed around the bar by a girl who is a friend of a friend's girlfriend, asking me why she wasn't invited to the wedding and how much she wanted to go. Um, no, I dont even know her. I swear DWs bring out the crazy in people. OMGOSH That is so funny! LOL. And you are right. DW's do bring the "crazy" out of people! When I first got engaged, I will never ever forget that my parents' good friends told me: The people that you most expect/think will go to your wedding, don't. And the ones who you least expect, do. My wedding is fast approaching & this couldn't be more true!
  14. ^^ Wow, chica! You have done a LOT!!! Katrina, that is so funny about FI inviting people all last minute! HAHA J wanted to do that, too! LOL. So how many people have booked so far?
  15. I am really sorry to hear this They should have definitely mentioned the long layover to you when you were booking! Perhaps they will do something to compensate for the time? We have a 3 hour one on the way back from teh wedding and I know I will want to stab my eye out. In Miami, of all airports. That airport is a madhouse and by far my least fave to travel in. I sorry! Just talk to your travel agent and see what she can do. Mayb eyou can switch flights?

  17. ^^ Yay! I have been before and really liked it. That is so cool you got engaged there! How romantic!
  18. Rzurla... DR isn't really windy, not like the beaches here. It will be fine, I think We're prob doing a beach reception too. My cousin got married in DR and did this and it was perfecto!
  19. ^^ Make sure you're in contact with your WC frequently. Just email her whatever pops into your head, ideas, etc. You could always visit the resort beforehand too to check it out.
  20. ^^ Wow. $3,000 for 3 hours is crazy! Which resort are you getting married at? The duty free shops prob sell alcohol reasonably priced. It will all work out
  21. Yay, Debs!!! I can't wait to hear all about it! Love those pics!
