Thanks guys! I am so glad I finally figured out how to post pics! We really liked the idea of these and we're doing a red/gold theme so they went right along with it.

Aw I am really sorry to hear this. I imagine it must be really difficult. I guess I would just let them come but don't go out of your way to be nice to him. He prob knows already taht you and nobody else in your fam can stand him anyway, you know? That way mom comes and is happy. Don't let him ruin your day. The focus is you and he will only be in the background.

I FINALLY figured out how to post pics to this forum (after almost a year--that's really embarassing) LOL Here's my dress! *The dress is "gold/champagne" My maids have gone with long red satin dresses (totally different from what's in the pics).

Jenny, I am sorry to hear about that. That is a really silly reason for her not to be in your wedding any longer but like you said, you can ask your cousin to be in it or just keep it the way it is! Everything always works out. Good luck!

I don't know of any offhand, but try asking your wedding coordinator. He/she may be able to set that up for you. Good luck!

I think you could def find lots of places within that price range. Try all-inclusive deals. DR does have a lot of places

My sister and I are by no means "best friends"-close but I made her my maid of honor because she is blood and my sister. I know everyone is different but I would feel heartbroken/crushed if she got married and didn't include me in her wedding party. That is my personal opinion, though. I know we all feel differently about this. I will say though, that since planning the wedding, we have gotten closer and she has helped me tremendously!

Just saw it last night. FI really wanted to see this since he's a big superhero/sci-fi buff. It was SOOOOOOOOOOO good! I loved it and you know, I totally have a newfound respect for Robert Downey, Jr. I had never seen much of his stuff before but he played the character SO well LOVED it! Great popcorn flick!

I understand why you're upset. You basically picked a resort to please/accomodate this guy and his family and now he's not even staying there. What's done is done so just focus on your wedding and don't let him get you down. Make the most of your big day. You will have a great time, no matter what. Resorts with kids can be fun and some of them even have adults-only designated areas/pools. Just don't give that guy the upper hand in letting him know that you're upset. You are the bride and the star of the show, after all
