Now that time is getting closer, I am thinking we're going to have about 60 guests. Some people haven't booked say they are going to. We shall see since it's coming up quick.

I am thinking we may register at two places (macy*s and target or maybe bbb & target?) My sis has our bridal shower planned for 21 June, 2 weeks before our big day. Maura... that brazilian steakhouse sounds YUM! I LOVE a good brazilian steakhouse! There is one we go to called Texas de Brazil. It's beyond delish! All of our weddings are seriously seriously getting close! I AM SO HAPPY!!!

I do'nt mind him seeing me in the morning, we are staying in the same room after, all, but it's when I have my dress on and am amde up that I don't want him seeing me at all. I think he may have to get ready in another room cause I will be taking over ours with my sister and bridesmaids! I just have no clue how they are going to "hide" me from the guests before walking down the aisle...

I really don't want FI to see me before I come to walk down the aisle so I was wonder how you guys did this or will do this, that plan on keeping this old tradition. Also, I am marrying on the beach so where exactly do they hide the bride? Since it's so open?

I haven't done it yet, but I can't imagine it will take too long cause when I visited the sit, the aisle didn't seem too long to walk up! HA! We have a guitar trio that will play. What song are you going to pick, Twinkle?

The personalized is a great idea but I think that maybe some of them may feel slighted you got one something and the other something else. Ultimately it's up to you, but the luggage tags sound great!

We are paying the guest passes for anyone not staying at our resort. We realized that some people couldn't pay the extra money to stay at our hotel but after traveling so far to come to our wedding, felt it as the least we could do for them. When we sent out our STDs, we put a note in there that basically stated we strongly recommended they stay at our hotel because the hotels tend to be spread out and transportation can take awhile. (We were hoping that would get them to stay at our hotel, lol). So far, of the 50 who have booked, only 4 (a family) are staying elsewhere.

We don't even have a registry. Need to get on that. LOL. My sister is throwing me a shower 2 weeks before the wedding (I know!!!) so she advised I sign up somewhere. And I know she's ending out her invites within the next week so i've gotta go register tomorrow or this weekend.

Ever since I joined this forum I have noticed a lot of us have lost our MOHs and/or bridesmaids while planning our weddings (meaning they didn't make it to the big day). It's good to know we are all not alone!

UGH! I am so sorry this happened to you! First of all, she should have been honest with you from the GET if she didn't want to go. I cannot stand dishonest people. You offering to pay for her, then her turning around and AVOIDING you for no apparent reason speaks absolute volumes about her! She is the selfish one in this case because how on earth does she expect YOU to spend every single moment with HER on YOUR wedding? I'm sorry, but that is ridiculous! I wouldn't call her. At all. Since she's acting like you owe her something. That's just me, though. Don't give her the satisfaction. It's a blessing that she showed her true colors BEFORE the wedding because when all is said in done, this remains: YOU are getting married, the wedding WILL go on, and you are going to have a freakin' blast! Without her! Aw yeah! Sometimes breaking up is hard to do but necessary!

Jamison, I am really really sorry to hear this. This woman is a totaly PSYCHO! If the contract doesn't state they can change the price at any given time, then they can't! I wouldn't budge at all and tell her you are payin hte price stipulated the first time around and when the time comes at the end fo the wedding, pay what you were quoted the first time. The woman clearly has ZERO customer service skills. UGH! Make sure you post a really nasty review of her and her stupid contract dealings! What a mean woman! Is there someone else there (corporate) that you can speak with? Its' ridiculous that you've had not one, but TWO, contacts, and now they have upped the price AGAIN. That is NOT cool, especially with only one month to go. I would tell them that they will lose your business and that they can make contracts and change them last minute! That is insane! Do you already have guests booked for there or can you switch to another venue?
