  1. Yay! I found your review! Sorry to hear about the WC and minor issues and so glad it stopped raining for you.
  2. Love them! I'm adding underwater camera to my Want It list! Oh and swimming lessons, too, lol!
  3. Great review! Don't know how I missed it before. Thanks for sharing, now for some questions... Would you have chosen the to have your ceremony in the chapel, now knowing that the sun would make for bad pictures? I just bought parasols but would that be enough to keep the from squinting? Was your cake the basic cake or an upgrade? I think it looks great with the ribbon, is that something you brought or did they provide it? TIA
  4. I was wondering that too. We booked a Deluxe Garden View room but I am really hoping they upgrade us to a better room once we are there. FI wants to upgrade anyways after our wedding on Saturday, so I'll just keep my fingers crossed that we meet whatever requirements they may have for a free upgrade.

  6. OMG! I love your pics, Annie. Was the day after shoot at Dreams Tulum? Where did you find horses? Those shots with them are just breath taking.
  7. Thanks. You're bouquet turned out great, I would even say it looks better than the inspiration bouquet.
  8. Congrats!! Beautiful wedding, you two look so happy! Lots more to view still...
  9. I'm going with the Wedding in Paradise package at Dreams Tulum and that comes with 1-bridal bouquet and 1-boutonniere. I've seen the resorts catalog of choices and there are 6 for each, all very pretty. My question is how do they look in person? Are they usually what you expected? I don't really want to upgrade to some of the more georgeous bouquets, but I also don't want to have a wilty bouquet that looks nothing like what I chose. It would be helpful to know the trends for resorts in general not just for Dreams Tulum. TIA
  10. Yay! Congrats Tammy! You are a wonderful host!
  11. Wow, that is one expensive flower! If it's in your budget then go for it, if you absolutely love it. If you can live without it I would reconsider and start thinking of other options for your hair. It is beautiful thought!
  12. Very pretty! I love the gathering on the side with the flower. Congrats on finding the ONE!
  13. 1) What resort are you getting married at? Dreams Tulum 2) What made you decide those? Reading about reivews of how beautiful the beach at the Tulum ruins is. € 3) When is your wedding? May 17, 2008 4) Did you have a hard time choosing too? At first I read about the bautiful beach and I fell in love with that area. I was willing to do a more affordable resort but FI insisted we not compromise too much. It was hard choosing between affordability and quality. Definetly read reviews and ask questions but remember there will always be those who don' like anything, so use your best judgement when considering the opinions of others. Good luck and happy planning.
  14. I love those clip ons! It looks so cute on you. My sister let me borrow one of hers for her wedding. I had just gotten a really short haircut and it looked terrible, I just made two ponytails to hide my own hair and then clipped on a long wiglet and whala I had a georgeous hairdo. Plus FI loved it!
  15. WOW! This looks amazingly good, yet very creepy. Maybe if it was mini and and not so lifelike. But it's so huge and the face is just too much. I like cakes that mimic the brides dress but this is just too much.

She was great and felt like she was really interested in my personal wedding story and in helping me find the right dress. My FMIL was great too and was very helpful in knowing how much cleaveage was too much, lol! I freaked out a little bit because I couldn't find my camera when we got there. I made sure to put it in my purse but when I took out my shoes, it fell out and got burried under my clothes on the floor. I almost didn't get any pictures at all. I ended up finding it when I had narrowed it down to two dresses, oh and after my FMIL bought a disposable one. It was very helpful to look at the dresses in the pictures before deciding. I did end up finding a dress and buying it on the spot- I posted pics in another thread.
  17. How romantic!! Sniffles...that is such a sweet engagement story. I bet you were so excited to be going home with such great news. Congratulations!
  18. They are both beautiful. Both very different looks although they are the same shape. I do love the ruffles on the Casablanca. Good luck on making that choice once you try it on.
  19. Thanks for all the compliments!! You girls are great! I went ahead and bought the optional sleeves and they will sew them when I go in for my alterations in March. They will be sewn in the back with snaps in the front so that I can use them or tuck them in. Now that I look at the pictures(for the hundredth time) I may go with out the sleeves, I think they are too cutesy; a nice option if I'm feeling insecure and want to cover up a bit more. But with out the sleeves I feel more grown-up and...sexy:) Plus, I tried on a Mantilla veil and it matched the dress perfectly but the sleeves were too much with it. The other veil I tried on was shorter and had daity edging and went with the sleeves; completed the more cutesy look. Be on the lookout for my voting thread on thiis sometime in the near future-when I figure out how to do it.

And Thank you to who ever deleted my double post!! Your awesome!
  21. I'm back from Davids Bridal and I found MY dress! I can't believe I found it on the first try!! I am so excited and shocked that I have my dress!!! Here is a picture (don't mind the poopy face; I gotta work on my picture face) Heres one with the optional cap sleeve.
  22. Welcome to the board, Brooke! I'm a May 2008 Dreams Tulum bride, you will find lots of great stuff here and meet some great people. Good luck and Congratulations on your upcoming wedding.
  23. I'm going dress shopping tomorrow morning at Davids Bridal with my FMIL and possibly with my FSIL. I am really nervous about trying on dresses and not being able to dicide on one. Wish me luck. I will report more tomorrow. Hopefully I remember to bring a camera.
  24. Figleaves is having a sale. I just bought some underthings and two bikinis (I'm a bikini virgin so we'll see if they make it into the honeymoon suitcase). All but one item I purchased was on sale, but I found a 10% coupon for non-sale items here: figleaves shapewear - coupons, online deals, discount coupon codes, rebates
