  1. Great pics, thanks for sharing. Patiently awaiting review and more pics!
  2. Congrats! You both look great! I can't wait to be there next year. I'm really glad you were able to go the Ruins and take pics. I will have to remember to no wear my dress there but bring it along to change into. Were you able to take pics of you infront of the ruins? Looking forward to reading a full review of your wedding and stay at DT. Oh and more pictures would be awesome!

Congrat! Can't wait to see pics and read all about your wedding and honeymoon.
  4. I think it's beautiful but definetly without the boning coming out of the corset. The detail is ever so subtle and goes perfect with the softness of the skirt. One thing to consider is that the bodice might be slightly sheer, but it could work if you're okay with that, it would be great for a beach wedding. The skirt almost looks like those wrap around beach skirts- love it. Do you have a link to the site? If it goes with your colors then you should give it a try it. Oh and show us pictures!
  5. Yeah, I suppose it is too early. Thanks, ladies. I think now what I'll do is send the invite with the luggage tags I got at Michaels and then pack stuff to take down with us to Tulum for OOT bags. Is it okay to combine the OOT bag with gifts for parents/attendants? Since our group is pretty small I was going to give a small gift for coming out to everyone. Do I need to spread OOT bag, gift, and possibly favor out?
  6. I was thinking of sending OOT bags/gifts with my invitations. I don't want to pack so much stuff, not that I plan on doing a ton of stuff for OOT gifts. Is anyone else doing this? Also, is December too soon to send my invitations for my May wedding? I thought it would be a nice x-mas gift too. We may still have a smallish gift to bring with us to the resort for everyone, like shot glasses or tee shirts.
  7. Thanks for even more super helpful beauty info. I can't wait to track down some MAC Fixer so I don't melt in Tulum's heat!
  8. I just found this super cute way of adding images to paper lanterns. I was thinking this would be great for paper parasols and Names or initials. Weddingbee » Blog Archive » How To Add Silhouettes to Lanterns
  9. Here are some examples I have saved. Not sure what I'm going with yet, but most likely something that inlcudes FI's parents names just cause it will mostly be his family and his parents friends. I may also include hosted by "FI's Parents" even though we are paying for it. The second one would work if you got married and then sent the invitation. 10. Julie- thanks so much for sharing this. I'm so glad someone on here has done this. I had already planned on doing this for my wedding, but had not seen anything about these ont he board. These will be perfect since I'm not much of a makeup person righ now, and mascara runs on me no matter what. I won't have to worry about it. Please do share a closeup. Reasurance from a BDW bride, that I won't look like Mr.Snuffleupagus from Sesame Street is priceless! hehe BTW- I love your pic!
  11. Thanks Lizz. Let me know how it goes. I'm still unsure if it will be worth ordering and then traveling with them down to MX. Happy 10 year HS reunion!
  12. Has anyone bought personalized shot glasses? I would like something affordable that I don't have to buy 50+. I only need 20 max. I really want the authentic mexican shooter glass that is 2 ounces. All the ones I have seen are pretty pricy or just the typical smaller shot glasses. Any direction finding these would be appreciated. TIA
  13. Thanks for the input. I think I am going to forgo the personal mini fans. I do like the palm fans as well, how would the half sandalwood and half palm look? I kind have my heart set on the sandalwood ones cuz I already have two and I plan on using it in my photos. I want to have long contrasting ribbon tied to them so it dangles down my dress and possibly have these also for my sister, MOH and the moms. This is my inspiration.
  14. I also like the starfish sand one better. How about adding a sigle daisy to the starfish center? Or using daisy shaped candles? You could also try adding faux petals to smaller tea light holders to make them look like daisies and alternate some with candles and some with sand and mini starfish. No mirror needed.
  15. Yeah, it might be helpful if I posted the article, lol. http://www.beachbride2be.com/page9.html
  16. This article got me thinking about what I want to wear while on honeymoon. I'm usually pretty frumpy, but I want to look cute and sexy for my honeymoon. I hadn't thought of bringing several bathing suits, but it suggest having at least: one to wear, one drying, and one to have ready to wear. Anyone have any other ideas not included in this article that are honeymoon essentials??

March him right back to the store to return it all, and then pick out what I thought he should wear, Everton did however plan the most romantic dinner I have ever had. He planned it the day after our wedding in a gazebo on the beach, candles wine and the best salmon I have ever eaten. It was complete with moonlight, the ocean, and dancing to the trio that played at our wedding. It was beautiful, romantic, and month's of secret planning went into it. I have to say this was a way better use of his time then his input on hair flowers, or no hair flowers! I do think it is great Reggie that you want to get more involved, happy planning, and for the record I think the pink speedo's would be perfect Kelly~ Kelly this is exactly the way I feel about FI getting involved. I've told him I want him to agree to what I've already decided, but for heavens sake at least fake some enthusiasm! I've also gone the tears and complete breakdown route, just this past week, he's alittle more sensitive to my needs now. It's like he agrees with everything that I have to say, but then the one thing I think is my best idea ever he says no to. Pisses me off, because I spend all this time thinking of ideas to make OUR wedding special and he either is agrees in a flat monotone, "sure that fine" or says "no, I've never seen that done at any wedding." My response: this isn't any wedding, this is our wedding, our destination wedding, we (I) get to do what ever I want, it's supposed to be fun and different! feew! nice to get that off my chest! Reggie-thanks for the advice! FI has been working out to look good on the beach and to be able to carry me in his arms.
  18. That is so scarry! I like the idea of meeting people in a busy parking lot. I've never used CL but, have browsed a few times and have been wanting to post a copule things for sale, but FI said he didn't want a bunch of strangers coming to our house. Now I know why!
  19. After reading LauraB and LisaG's post here: HTML Code: http://bestdestinationwedding.com/forum/post-your-wedding-engagement-photos/7219-post-your-funny-wedding-photos-here-6.html#post181518 I'm wondering if anyone has hired their own officiant. I actually want a mostly non-religious ceremony and have something specific written up. I put a lot of time into coming up with the perfect ceremony to be meaningful to FI and I, as well as our two families. While I am Mexican and would not have a problem with the minister having an accent, I want FI's and our guests to understand what is being said as well, especially since I am having guests do a stone ceremony. Any help, suggestions would be appreciated. TIA
  20. Beautiful! You look amazing in your dress and viel with flowers under it. I love the look of your wedding party, very soft and ethereal, that's what I'd like to achieve for my wedding. Thanks for sharing.

So that's fine - drama's over - we're switching back to 3:00. But just a heads up to the Dreams Tulum brides - make sure you save all your emails from both Sandra & Landy. It doesn't seem that things discussed with Landy are getting back to Sandra & vice versa. Landy emailed me a Planning form that I needed to fill out with our choices for flowers, cake & menu etc. 2 days later, Sandra emailed me the exact same form. I also get duplicate (and sometimes different) responses to my questions. Glad your timing worked out. That's good to know. Everytime I get impatient waiting for a response from Landy, I want to email Sandra with the same question. I guess it's best just to stick with one for the time being. I got some new info from Landy too, don't you just love the new brochures? They are so much more helpful. Know I know what cake and flower options look like, makes my planning much easier and I don't have to wait for each individual response to my questions about these things.
  22. I want to get sandalwood fans to have out on chairs during the ceremony, but I think they would be too feminine for the guys. What do you all think of getting mini personal fans for just the guys? Would it be a distraction during the ceremony? Dangerous for our 1 year old nephew? I just want everyone to be comfortable. I also want to have parasols, so is this overkill? Thse are on sale for .99 here: Sandalwood Fans On Sale - Buy Now! These are at oriental trading co. for about $12 per dozen. This are bit more pricy at $7.95 each, but would be extra fun for the guys, especially since girls will probably get nicer OOT/gifts and it is hard to find good stuff for guys.

  24. Just thought I'd share this tropical dress I found while surfing: Is it too Hawiian for a Mexican wedding? Thinking about ttd options. JadeFashion.com - Shop Sorry can't save picture to photobucket.
