Last year (before I was engaged, but knew I wanted tags for invites) they had different tags that I wanted but I restrained myself and only bought 3 of them, so they may have slightly different stuff depending on what store you go to. Good luck!
  2. Just watched your video. I especially loved the dancing around the bond fire; it's making me rethink not having any dancing, lol. Thanks for sharing!
  3. Yay! My first pictures are posted! Took a bit to figure out but here they are...enjoy.

I have a girlfriend who offered to do ours, but I thought this idea was great and super crafty. I read this DIY cheat tip a while ago too and thought it was the greatests thing ever! I haven't thought that far in advance about addressing my invites but this sound like something I could do, especially since I didn't realize printing labels for invites was not very etiquette friendly, at least according to the Budget Bio over at the Knot. Any suggestions on free fonts to download that look like calligraphy?
  5. Hi all just thought I'd share my first wedding related buy. I bought 20 'leather' luggage tags from Micheals this weekend from their dollar bins. Half are lime green with groovy flowers on the back and the other half are bright orange with multicolored circles outlined in dots. I will be sending them with my Destination invite along with brochures of our Resort when we get it all lined up. They come with a lined card with BON VOYAGE but I may do my own, make them more personal. Wanted to post pics of them but can't seem to figure out how, any good posts out there about this?? Thanks.
  6. Thanks for the replies, they really have put my mind at ease. Now I can concentrate on all the fun stuff of being a
  7. I was hoping to have some help in figuring out what to expect from the rooms at Dreams Tulum. My TA said there is a new section of the resort with the "Dreams" rooms and then there is the old section, but she said they are all really nice. My big fear is that our wedding guests will end up in a terrible room since I've read some pretty bad reviews on TripAdvisor about moldy rooms. Does anyone have pictures of the different rooms? The Honeymoon suite is considerably more expensive and I don't want to go over budget, if the lower rooms are nice enough. TIA
  8. I just found your review and I love the details and georgeous slideshow ofcourse. Congratulations! Your wedding looks beautiful. Just curious, what room did you book that you got upgraded from?
  9. Beautiful Wedding! Seeing pics of a real wedding in the place I'm considering makes me a tad nervous but mostly excited. The black dress "Eileen" is wearing in the pics is the exact dress I will be wearing for my sisters renewal of vows in Sept. Anyways, ... Thanks for sharing pics, they're super helpful to a newbie.

If you check under the Q&A section, theres a section on just weddings. Someone on there posted this slideshow of the Tulum wedding set-ups. It's the same pics that the wedding co-ordinators send me in Word format. The slideshow is pretty basic but it gives you the info you need...... DREAMS Weddings.... Great link to the slideshow, just what I was looking for. Thanks!

    Hola

Thanks to everyone for the warm welcome! I am excited to learn from you all and I will definitely be checking out the Tulum reviews and asking lots of questions. For starters is there a quick guide to how the forum works? i.e. points, karma? Maybe even abbreviations? Thanks! Akh: “btw - i have to ask - why "babycow" - it's so cute!†Thanks! It’s my last name in Spanish…sssh…don’t tell anyone if you know Spanish

    Hola

Hola my name is Erica. My fiancé, Tim and I have been engaged for about a month and are just beginning to plan our destination wedding. After our first visit to a travel agent this past weekend, we are seriously considering Dreams Tulum in Mexico, possibly in May of 2008. I am so glad I found this all DW site. I feel so much better knowing there are other brides out there that have done this all before.
