  1. If you want to address them separately as individuals, use Mr. John A. Doe and Mrs. Jane A. Doe rather than Mr. and Mrs. John A. and Jane A. Doe. Make sense?
  2. I love Pearl, she's the cutest little baby ever. Classic.
  3. Jessica, I'm going to Cabo on Friday and am going to be checking out prices at Costco for several of the brides on here, so I'll be more than happy to check tequila as well, especially since we were going to check it out anyways! I'll post what I find on Monday... But I can't wait to see what Drea's sister has, I'm sure it'll be very helpful for all of us! Especially for the things I miss!
  4. Just another referral, but we have used Transcabo several times and had great luck with them as well.

I think that's what the original poster was referring to...not whether she was going to pay at all.
  6. I would give my right arm for $55/3 hour open bar...stupid Fiesta Americana charging us more for alcohol than the food! (Obviously I am being slightly sarcastic!) But if our numbers dip enough, we might just go w/ open bar instead of consumption. I never thought about Janet's view of getting secretly angry as the night goes on and people keep misplacing their beverages and going for a new one. Good to think about! Hmmm...now this has got me thinking again!

  8. Michelle, I will definitely take as many pictures as I can of the Imperial Suite, and I'll make notes of sizing of areas, and have FI stand on the areas so you can see dimensions better. No problem! And I'm going to Costco for sure, so we'll price out alcohol & beer there for everyone! We come back Sunday night (short trip), but it'll be well worth it. I did have a great idea for wedding favors or table decorations that a friend used for our Couples Shower on Saturday, so I'll see if I can find them and post pictures and prices if I locate them. It made an adorable and fun table! Think think think and let me know! I'll check this site until probably 11am Central time on Friday!
  9. Edited to add: 5.) Explain to FI why Tammy & Ann (yes, the girls from the forum!) are in my carry-on bag!
  10. Ok, so as the order stands at the moment: 1.) Price out candles & mirrors at Costco (easy, b/c I'll be pricing out snacks and OOT stuff!) 2.) Find Juan and smack him around, demand pictures for Natalie 3.) Get some Dreams water for Tammy... 4.) Price out flowers (especially roses) at Costco 5.) Explain to FI why Tammy is packed in my carry-on bag... Anything else ladies, keep 'em coming!
  11. So I'm going to Cabo on Friday w/ FI for our last trip before the wedding, I know, I cannot believe it! So we're staying at Fiesta Americana and meeting up with Tara Null to do a walk through of hopefully everything. We will be going to the following places if you want me to check on anything: Costco Mi Casa Local Eight (thanks to a recommendation from this forum!) Fiesta Americana (obviously) We'll also be doing cake tasting w/ Deena, menu tasting at the hotel, etc. I have asked for a tour of the Imperial Suite so I'll take a ton of pictures of the interior to add to our collection! Anyone need anything Just let me know!

It was pricey, but well worth the money. I believe I paid $3,500 - which included a light up bar, draping, 4 light up tables, ottomans, lighting, and plants. Here is the vendor I used: OXTEN I attached a pic of how we set up the ballroom at the Palmilla, hopefully it posted. Awesome vendor recommendation...thank you! We would, of course, love to hear more about the wedding and of course see pictures!!!!!
  14. So, I thought I would share with yall one of my latest tricks that seems to keep me in line and motivated. A few years ago I purchased My Pet Fat, and it's awesome. It's a 1lb replica of 3,500 calories (which equals one pound of fat), and it's anatomically correct. So if you look at the blob, that's exactly what a pound of fat looks like. It's just disgusting!!! And so if I think about that cheeseburger or brownie and a few beers and some pasta, etc throughout the week, that's what I would add to my body. Gross. Totally totally gross. So the other day I had a genius idea to put My Pet Fat on top of my alarm clock so that every morning when I roll over and hit snooze, I see that 1lb of fat telling me to get my butt out of bed and workout! It totally works! It's also nice to visualize weight loss. I know sometimes we're disappointed in a 2 pound loss, etc but looking at that blob makes me realize that at least it's not part of my anymore! So I thought this might give those looking for motivation something different to look at. Print the picture out and put it on your fridge, on the treadmill, next to your alarm clock, or go out and buy your own. It was worth it to me, and it's totally working. Oh, and check out the 5lb Pet, it's just disgusting, so that's a great one to gauge weight loss as well...think about the fact that if you lose 5 pounds, you've removed that blob from your body...entirely! Enjoy! Here's their website: mypetfat

Everyone always gets on me because although, we are getting married in Jamaica, I want all the other elements of my wedding to be pretty traditional. I'm going to phrase this on the wedding website as "Formal attire is requested". This is just my two cents, but I would be more clear on the use of "Formal" for the attire...that to me says Formal Attire, which means Tux Optional which means Cocktail attire for the women. If that's what you want, then I think you're guests will understand, but if you want something less formal, but still fancier than shorts and a t-shirt, I would say "Jackets Optional" which directs guys to be dressed up, but not necessarily in a suite or tie. Just my opnion, which doens't mean much!
  16. Sur la Table is one of my favorite stores in the entire world! And I've actually done a sushi class too! It's so much fun!!! Except it's really hard, and now I really appreciate just eating sushi at the restaurants! I can never get the roll to be tight enough...and a spider roll, don't even get me started! Let us know how it goes! Yall will have so much fun!

You must wonder how I manage to get dressed in the morning if I can't even figure out these simple things. LOL!!! Jen, I had to do that in my Adobe application...if you want, send it to me and I'll do one for you. Just PM me and tell me your email (although I think I still have it?) and tell me exactly what you want...and it can be a different color than red, so tell me that too!
  18. Jen, I did the same thing Bridget was recommending. I used a map from the Los Cabos website, and converted it to PDF. Then I uploaded, and it says "Download PDF" or something. Take a look at mine if you want, the map is on the Accomodations page, Los Cabos page and the FAQ. http://www.ryanandjill.net/index.html

  20. Bridget, I'm going to Cabo next weekend, and if I have some time I'll look around and see the flower shops & their availability. Don't hold your breath, in case we get swamped, but I'll definitely try!
  21. Welcome to the forum, you'll love it here!
  22. One more suggestion, have you tried Garden Ridge? I bought about 100 chargers there once and they were just fine, did the job. Just a thought? They might be out now that the summer season is over, but they might have them marked down, as well. Good luck!
  23. I vote for the first one! The green background makes the text pop more than the second option. Love it!
  24. Glenda is correct, there is a rental company called Fun & Motivation and they have some lounge furniture rentals. Fun & Motivation I'm not using F&M, I'm getting the rentals through my event planner in Cabo, Tara Null, with Fiestas Los Cabos...but I can give you a hint about pricing through her. We haven't finalized the lounge furniture, so what I have a quote for is just a random number ($3,000) but I have a relatively larger wedding (maybe 125 guests) and we're putting the lounge in the ballroom we're using (for band purposes, so we can have music after 10pm) so we'll have a larger lounge area than just a few seats, hence the price. The light up pink bar was quoted to me at $200 which sounds about right, it's only PVC pipe or something and some color.
