  1. Ok ladies, I'm having a Couture Map made for our OOT bags that I just decided to do like 2 hours ago...I have to have all of the information to the artist by Sunday! What I need are: Points of Interest Streets Website links of the area - anything you have! Landmarks ETC!!! So I was thinking it will be sort of rectangular, long landscape layout. With San Jose and CSL. Obviously these would be on it: Fiesta American San Jose CSL El Arco To Todos Santo To La Paz Mi Casa (since that's where our rehearsal dinner is) What else?!?!? Maybe the names of the beaches? HELP ME PLEASE!! Oh, and if you want to look at a sample, here it is:
  2. Oh, and yes, the topic at hand, TOTAL BITCH.

Maybe look up some information on the family medical leave act. U.S. Department of Labor: Compliance Assistance: Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA) also, do you get bereavement time? I know that we can take off time for bereavement and that is what this should have been. This is the first thing that popped into my head too. I don't know the regulations regarding how an employer can force time off, or what type time off can be required, but this definitely sounds fishy. And, quite frankly, if you want to take paid time off, you can, unless your company has specific guidelines and rules regarding approval for time off, etc, I would do some reserach and challenge it.
  4. Wow! 2 weeks is so exciting! You'll get it all done, don't worry! Just enjoy it!

  6. Great, thank you! I'm going to get some for our OOT bags! But where is free shipping code? My shipping came out to $5.95?

It sounds like a lot BUT I have been struggling to lose weight my whole LIFE - so what the hell is 5 months? Not that much time really... I'm trying to be positive! Keep thinking positively! It also takes several weeks for your body to react to significant changes in diet, exercise, etc. So some people lose weight immediately and then Week 3 or 4 tapers, and vice versa. Honestly, the My Pet Fat thread really helps me visualize it. If you look at that 1lb replica, you lost half of that in just 7 days. That's pretty amazing in my opinion! I know yall are going to get sick of me posting it, but it really helps put it all in perspective! Here's the link to the website again, I love it. Wake up to it every morning! Scroll down to the 1lb and look at it...GROSS! http://www.mypetfat.com/thetools.asp And think of it in other ways. How do you feel about yourself? How has your mood been lately? Do you have a bit more bounce in your step? Etc! Also, what helps me is to take my measurements and log on mybodycomp.com and that tracks body fat %, inches, etc so even if that scale isn't moving as quickly as I would like, I can see that I've lost 3" off my waist, etc. Keep it up! Eventually your body will have to give it up if you're watching calories and exercising!

They can up it a bit, but it's not terrible. Now the resorts...that's another story!

Totally worth it, now I love being home! And she cleans like no one I've ever known. She has this way of doing the pillows on the bed that just look great, and I can never recreate it...I hate taking them off that night because it won't look that good for another week!

After living w/ FI for a year, I finally realized that to him, clean meant piling things up, just like Christa. He thinks stacking things until they're three feet tall is clean. Um, no. So we hired a lady through a friend of a friend, she charges $60 and comes twice a month...it is the best money I have ever spent. We don't fight anymore, I am not angry at him for being messy or not helping enough, and we get to spend more time together not cleaning. And every time I come home from work on those Wednesdays, it makes me smile and we have a clean, fabulous house. Of course, until we cook dinner and it's dirty again. But it's soo worth it!

I want to say it was the green label, since that's the one I'm used to seeing, and would have remembered if it was different. I'll ask my FI if he remembers and get back to you!

It was pretty easy to check it all out, and I would want someone to do the same for me, so I'm glad it all worked out. Although, I did just have a rush of angst that there won't be any mini bottles of tequila or margaritas left when I arrive! Ah! Don't buy them all! HA!

You rock Jill! The only place I have seen the little bottles are at La Europea which is near Costco, maybe to the East. They had the mini bottles of tequila, but we didn't get there over our trip to price them out. They also sell alcohol, beer, gourmet snacks and they have a terrific selection of tequila and wine. But, we're going there probably on the Monday or Tuesday of our wedding week, so I'll be able to price them out then and report back! I remember they also have mini bottles of premade margaritas, which we were going to include too! It looks like there is a La Europea also in Cabo, near the marina? Here's their listing on Los Cabos Guide: La Europea - Wines - Liquors - Deli - Cabo San Lucas, Los Cabos, Mexico We didn't do much shopping for Cabo stuff, and I'm kicking myself now b/c I'm trying to find the perfect mexican tunic and the only one I like is on ebay and up to $100 now, so no, long answer, we didn't do any of that. But I can tell you there is a store directly across from Pancho's restaurant that we also visit and they have some great stuff. Swim coverups for the girls, all sorts of glassware, frames, magnets, home decor, etc. I think it's next door to a cigar store.
  15. Corey, I love it! It looks beautiful on you and it's very flattering! Looks like dream fabric as well! I actually like the flowers, so I would add them after the ceremony for fun, if you're going to remove the veil. So fun!

Let me know if I have forgotten anything! Hope this helps!
  17. Tami, that is a great idea! Please keep us informed on how you like the trial, it looks like something that would be very useful. I have also downloaded Pod Runner on iTunes, and the songs are based on what goal bpm you want. So it keeps the pace during a workout, and it's pretty convenient. Thanks!
  18. Ok ladies, I missed crunches yesterday, so I did them tonight. I got in 100oz of water and did 45 minutes on the treadmill which burned 495 calories. I love these challenges! Keep up the great work ladies!
  19. Dear Dad: HOORAY! 100% still in remission!!!!!!!! I can't believe you don't have to go back for a check up for another 6 months! I am so thrilled, relieved, happy, shocked, emotional! I am so lucky to have you in my life, and so thrilled you are going to see me get married. You are so courageous! I love you! I know one of these days the cancer will win, but until then, I am going to continue cherishing our time together and make it all worthwhile. By the way, what are we going to call our new company?! I'm so excited to work with you! Dear Doctors: I don't know what my family did to deserve such wonderful professionals, but thank you for treating my father like you would a family member, and for caring so much about us, his life, his happiness and quality of life. Your care is beyond anything we could have ever imagined. Dear Self: Awesome workout! You need to remember this feeling every day, and way to go running for 10 minutes. Doing 2 minute intervals has really increased your stamina. Nice work, don't forget you have a dress fitting in 21 days. Prove it to that bridal consultant that you really did need the smaller size!
  20. Welcome! You'll love it here! I'm from Texas, and getting married in Cabo in a month!!!
  21. I think it's beautiful! I love neutral weddings, and the pictures will be amazing, with a splash of color in the sash. Perfect!
