  1. Hi! Did anyone ship/bring alcohol to Mexico for their wedding. We would like to serve our favorite wine at the wedding (we've already bought 30 cases of it). We, originally, thought we were going to have to pay a ton to ship it, via UPS/DHL, however, our wedding planner's fiance is going to drive it from California to Cabo for us (he's moving to Cabo at the end of September and our wedding planner has offered to have him take over a bunch of stuff we would have shipped!!!). Anyways, she said there are some taxes involved with taking alcohol (wine) from the US to Mexico and am wondering if any of you all have any experience with this. Thanks!!!

  6. Hi! We were thinking about doing either a sunset cruise or a restaurant and decided to with a restaurant for our welcome dinner due to timing (we'll probably do a sunset or brunch cruise the day after the wedding). We're having our welcome dinner at Baja Cantina. They're located on Medano Beach and are reasonable. A few brides, on the forum, have had their welcome dinners there and love it. Drea and Erik got married there! Check out their menus: Baja Cantina website: http://bestdestinationwedding.com/fo...ina-menus.html

Those are my colors as well and I love this idea! Did you find the candle holders online or in a store? Thanks for sharing!

Plus you can get your FI's opinion! This is a great idea....we're going with espresso brown, tiffany blue and cream for our colors but I'm thinking about adding sage to the color scheme. I want to get out of work and head to Home Depot!!!
  22. Ooooh, how exciting! Love, Love LOVE Italy! I visited Italy for the 1st time, last June (Armando proposed in Rome so I'm partial to the city!). We were going to do 3 - 4 cities but because it was my 1st time, we decided hit as many cities as possible--we did it in 2 weeks. I'm glad we did it this way, since it was my 1st time but next time, we'll only hit 3cities. We were exhausted--waking up at 5am/6am to catch early am trains so that we could make the most of our time in each city. We did Venice, Rimini, Florence, Rome, Sorrento (my favorite), Sicily (Taormina and Palermo--Armando's family lives there). I'd probably change the amount of time we stayed in some of the cities. Great site for hotels in Italy is Hotels, hotel reservations, from luxury to cheap hotels - venere.com. We didn't book everything through them but it had the best info for location, prices, pics, etc. BTW, we booked most our hotels a few days before we left and we visited during high season--there were hotels that we wanted that were sold out but we were still happy with the hotels we booked. Feel free to PM me, I'd be more than happy to share more info. I, too, was super stressed out when planning the trip and I had a native helping me!You're going to have a BLAST!!!!!!! I'm so excited for you!! Quote: Originally Posted by Jessalyn We leave for Italy on the redeye on Sept 18th and come home on Oct. 5th. We are flying into Rome and that is all that we know. So, if anyone has any insight, please share. ...planning this trip is feeling more stressful than planning our wedding. We want to visit the following places and probably in this order (we'll be traveling by train...if you have any tips regarding traveling by rail, please share). Rome Florence Bologna Venice Modena (Tony wants to see the Ferrari exhibit) Parma Milan (maybe) Geoa Portifino Cinque Terre Pisa If you have any other location suggestions that are on or near our route, please share those too. Thanks for your help. We're feeling overwhelmed.

Then the ladies who teach pole dancing in this city are bringing poles to my sisters house and teaching us each how to pole dance. All the while we will be in our pj's and drinking cool drinks we all make (my sister is telling everyone that comes what 1 ingredient they need to bring to make a bunch of fun drinks). We are going to all sleep over at my sister's. That is it. I did not want to go to the bars either, but I wanted something fun. I can't wait. I LOVE your party....I want that! We're planning a 2 day party....wine tasting/spa day in Healdsburg (near Napa) and then a club night in San Francisco. I really like the pole dancing and drinking at home idea much more than a club night!!
