I don't want to hijack this post but I also have a gel nail question. How long do they last? I never do my nails because within 2 days they look like crap. I was considering gel nails but worry they won't look good on the wedding day. From the time of getting them to wedding day is 6 days. Will they still look good? I would get french manicure style.

Those outfits are so adorable I love the little boys suit and the little flower girls pink dress. She does look like a mini princess. I just noticed after all this time your wedding location. My sister got married there February 2006. I had a fun time at that resort.

I don't have any specific suggestions but I wanted to let you know that my niece also has a severe peanut allergy. She has been to both Cuba and the Dominican Republic several times and the resorts have been accomadating and understood when we mentioned her allergy. She eats in both a la cartes and buffets and she has not had a reaction.

I've finally had a chance to see your video. It was very beautiful and made me cry. You two are a cute couple. I love how your mom waiting for you at the bottom of the steps and walked you down the ailse with your dad..that is what I was thinking of doing. After the ceremony, there was "My Girl" song. Was that played on an Ipod...also what about the wedding processional was that also IPOd? I know you had the trio but that did not seem like them...

My advice is to keep looking and just when you think you are tired, keep looking somemore (that's assuming you don't find one you are in love with). I must have tried on at least 70 dresses. At times it was confusing and exhausting but I eventually figured out exactly what I wanted and finally found a dress that had all those elements. I so much more happier now. Also, try on dresses you would never imagine wearing. You will be surprised to find out that they look great on you and ones that you love may not look as good.

My E-ring is white gold and I intend on getting a white gold wedding band. We went shopping recently and yellow gold looks better on him so I think we will get him a yellow gold band. Nothing says your wedding bands have to match. I think its fine. The band should be what the person wants and looks best on them.

I just booked a couple of weeks ago for my wedding on April 22, 2008. I won't start planning until at least August. I think you have plenty of time. When I looked into Las Caletas the daylight was definately a major consideration.. There was no way I wanted evening pics. I know they are beautifull but for me the point of getting married on a beach was to have bright, daylight beachy pics. FH and I did not want to see each other before the ceremony and so that was not an option. For awhile it looked as if we could not get married in the spring due to flight availability and at that point as much as it would have broken my heart, I was going to walk away from Las Caletas and get married at a resort earlier in the day sometime in November. If I were in your shoes I would change my wedding to the spring if you know it won't cause a problem with having those who are most important attend your wedding.

Marla In response to your ipod question about categorizing music, you can totally do that. You create individual playlists and can load it to the ipod as seperate files. I'm sure you could even name the playlists, things like "dinner", frist dance/father-daughter ect. For the speeches, I think we will have the Maid of Honor and Best Man make a speech followed by my Dad and his. We also want to thank our guests. The trick though is keeping the speeches short and sweet. We are struggling with the timeline provided and are worried that 20 minutes is not enough for speeches and the cake cut. We will probably extend our time by an hour. We are having speeches because I know for sure FH's parents would definately want to say something. I was going to skip the whole father-daughter, mother-son dance but my FMIL insists on having it. As for photography, I really want pics of me getting ready so I hope I can have that option. I don't want the photographer to come over with the guests but earlier, even if it is a little bit. That way I can get pics of me getting ready as well as pics of the tables, decorations, ceremony site before everything gets started.

I'm sure this question has already been answered but I'm unsure so I will ask it again. I'm in the midst of looking at my photography options. At the moment I have reserved the photographer that Adventure weddings uses for Las Caletas. But I still want to explore my other options. Does any one know which photographer Adventure weddings use?

Don't worry about the boat ride since you will go over to Las Caletas early in the morning and have all day to relax before the ceremony. As for Michelle Turner, her photography is good but way out of my budget I also received an email from Elizabeth Medina and although her prices are not as high as Michelle Turner's they are still out of my budget. Plus you need to fly her and an assistant to PV as she is in Meridia Mexico.
