  1. Here is nice starfish hair pin. It is a little pricey but it may be worth it to some bride I may have to consider it. Starfish Brooch Hairpin - Designer bridal jewelry, bridesmaid jewelry and all-occasion semi-precious jewelry
  2. Although I love the low back on the first one I think the second one looks the best on you and would be more comfortable for a beach wedding. Also, I love the look of corset backings and they also cut down considerably on alteration costs. Both look good though so whatever you decide you will look great.
  3. I love you're dress. I almost got a Sottero-Midgley one that is very similar to that. I still feel a little heartbroken I did not go with it but at the same time love my final choice. Excellent choice
  4. I've finally decided on the favour that I'm using and it will also double as placecard. It falls right into my starfish theme. Beach Themed Favors - beach-themed photo frames
  5. Here are my top 2 hair inspiration pics.. (not sure about the pink flowers on the top of the head like that but it is an idea to play around with)
  6. Dramamine sounds like a good idea to avoid motion sickness on the boat but at the same time I think guests should be told that if they decide to take it they should not really have any alcoholic beverages.
  7. Marla I've decided I don't want to do a site visit as we will lose a day with our guests at the resort. Instead of the site visit Nicole said I can add an additional 2 people to come over early on the day of the wedding. This works perfectly for me because I was using the 3 included spots for my MOH and 2 bridesmaids and now I can have my mom and sister come over early as well.
  8. This is going to sound like a pretty strange question but what would a bride need a purse for? Who would hold it for you during the ceremony? Would you carry it all night with your bouquet as well? What would you put in the purse? Maybe I am missing something? Do I need a purse? Sorry for the strange questions.
  9. Don't worry about those girls you will look stunning on your wedding day. These girls are complete ***holes and should not get away with this behaviour. How many women have been made to feel like crap while shopping for their wedding dress? It is supposed to be an awesome experience. You may wish to consider saying something to the owner/manager of the store to let them know that you do not appreciate being treated the way you have as a customer. If you represent your concerns in a professional manner, who knows you may receive some form of compesensation and if not at least maybe these girls won't be able to treat another girl like this. It is totally up to you though and whether or not you feel comfortable doing this.

  11. Beautiful...orange and hot pink are my colours to Great choice if I may say so.
  12. You are definately being taken advantage of. The highest quote I received was $400 but the average was between $100 and $250. Also, from what I know you only pay for alterations ONCE!!!
  13. I also have naturally curly hair and whenever I go down south the humidity wrecks havoc on my curls. On my wedding day, I'm planning on wearing my hair half up...I'm going to have the sides pined up and have ringlets frame my face. I'm going to have someone curl my hair with a curling iron. I don't need a curling iron to obtain curls but I think it will ensure that I don't have frizzy hair and keep it in place. I'm also going to buy a really good setting product to help fight frizz. These are some of my hair inspiration pics. I hope this helps.
  14. Those starfish placecards are sooo cute. I think I may use the idea. Swarkosvki also makes a matching necklace to those starfish earrings previously posted. I was going to buy the set for my wedding jewelery. However, when I saw the necklace in person I was disapointed in the chain. It was too plain. There is no way you can replace the chain either. The necklace was designed for casual, everyday use. However, if your wedding dress is more laid back then that could work for you.
  15. Shelley OMG...I can't believe those sandals cost that much. I love them but there is no way that I'm paying that much for sandals. Maybe I will be able to find them somewhere else. Thanks for the link.
  16. I'm really hoping I can use silk rose petals since I won't be able to purchase centerpieces and real rose petals ($25 a bag is very expensive especially considering the cost of silk ones). Also, I wonder how many bags you would need to cover the runner I really never thought that I would not be able to use silk petals on the ground I'm wondering whether it would be permissible if staff cleaned them up after the ceremony and pics?? If not, I guess I may have to consider a coloured runner I don't like the idea of walking down a beige aisle with no colour. And I doubt adding 1-2 bag of real petals would make a difference.
  17. For starfish lovers, here is my cake inspiration. http://i203.photobucket.com/albums/a...de2B/cake3.jpg
  18. Michelle That's a gorgeous picture frame. Do you have a link for it?
  19. Shelley Thanks for the link...now where did you find those cute starfish sandals I think they may look good with my dress since it will be in light gold with a diamond white overlay.
  20. Marla, I'm thinking I'm going to use silk petals for sure on the runner since I doubt it would matter on the ground. I am leary of using fake ones on the table though. Tossing that idea back and forth in my mind. I'm wondering how many rose petals I would need to cover the runner. I've heard it is alot more than you would think. Does anyone have an idea? Also, my FH thinks that they may fly away. Is that a real possibility?
  21. BeachBride Where did you get those starfish wine toppers? I absolutely love them!! These are the first favours I've seen that I have instantly wanted.
  22. Lindsay Did you pay for those rose petals on your table? If so, how many bags did you get? I think if my table was set up like yours, then that look definately works. If I wanted more, all I would have to do is maybe buy 2 extra centerpieces to spruce up the table. However, if the tables are split up then I'm thinking I'm going to have to buy a centerpiece for each one. I want to bring stuff down but afraid vases would break and I would go way over my luggage allowance limit.
  23. Shelley That would be awesome of you could let me know. Six days until your wedding. Wow, you must be so excited. I hope your day is everything you dreamed it to be
