  1. We put ours up at the beginning of November this year, LOL. Neither one of us have had our own XMas tree since we moved out of our parents house. (That's been about 5 years for me.) This is also our very first Christmas in OUR own house!!!! So needless to say I've been overly excited about decorating, but so is FI and it's so much fun!!! My Grandparents gave us their beautiful 9 ft. tree that they used to use but have since downgraded because it's too much for them to do. It looks great in our place because we have very high ceilings. We went with red lights and multi-colored ball and red and white sparkly candy cane ornaments. We didn't do too many tho cause we want to be able to build over the years. We've also decided to start a tradition where we get a commemorative ornament every year. I'll post a pic when I get a chance.

Did anyone see this month's cover feature "Next Best Beach town?" Pretty cool. mariama Mariama, here is their website: Prisar Vallarta - Beach Weddings and Tropical Honeymoons in Puerto Vallarta - Weddings and Events Organizers, Planners and Consulants in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico
  4. Great gifts so far! I can't wait to get mine now! Happy Turkey Day to all the Secret Santas!!!! *Gobble, Gobble*
  5. Mariama, I've tried to PM you and this is the message I get: "mariama has chosen not to receive private messages or may not be allowed to receive private messages. Therefore you may not send your message to him/her." We are meeting with Prisar (Hector & Priscilla) on Dec. 17th. I will let you know how that goes. Edna has already met with them I believe and seemed to really like them.
  6. Ok, who is this WC?!?! Ours is only charging us $2,000. Granted, that's not the ceremony and reception costs - just their coordination services. The Mayan seems reasonable from what I've seen. Things definitely do add up tho. We were thinking we could do it for $5-10k but now I'm thinking more like $12-15k, maybe more (EEK!!!!!!). That would include flying in a photographer tho which is an extra $4-6k alone.

Weird - it still looks pretty active (scrapbooking nights, classes, etc.). What a bummer if it does close. Paula - I love the ornament you got, sounds so cute. What a great idea
  8. Awwww, yay! I'm glad you pointed out the feet and head - I can actually see the baby!
  9. Awwwe, that is such a cute story! How sweet is he!!! Congrats!!!!
  10. Wow, I am so sorry Daniella was such a horrible wedding coordinator for you!!!! Have you (or your TA) tried contacting the General Manager? I cannot believe how unprofessional she was!!!!!! That is absolutely ridiculous. Her nonchalant attitude reminds me of the WC we met at the Iberostar Mayan resort in the Riviera Maya. I am so glad we got to do a site visit to avoid something like this. It sounds like Juan was a great support for you - kudos to you Juan!!!! Thank you for your extremely thorough review ~ I am sure it will help future brides!!!

  12. Cool. I came on here this morning and wondered why everyone had a mood listed by their karma, figured it had something to do with karma. Thanks Tammy. P.S. Yes, that new pic of Jackson is UBER cute!
  13. Yay! Shelley totally deserves that role - congrats!!!

We were amazed at how beautiful it turned out because she hadnt made clothes in like 25 years and she never made a wedding dress. I got married at the Marina Mayan and I used Prisar Vallarta as my coordinators. They were the best. First off - WOW, what a great looking couple you two make!!!! Oddly enough your dress looks a LOT like a dress that my FMIL is making for FSIL. They are having some trouble with the bustle part though. Yours turned out fantastic!!! Great wedding - I'm so glad we have decided to meet with Prisar when we go down in December. Congrats on a beautiful wedding and the start of a long fulfilling life together.
