YAY!!! So glad you found a good deal and can get-away for some more wedding research/R&R. :-) That early flight sounds...early. lol! But hopefully you can just crash out on the plane and then wake up and have a mimosa in Denver on your layover?! ;-) I don't think I've been to the Denver airport before...but I bet it's a nice one. I feel ya - 8:30 is a bit on the early side...but honestly, there are times here in TX where it's already 85 degrees out at 8am so I don't get too mad if people get it done early. I wouldn't want to be out there in the hot sun any later/longer than I had to! I agree it's irritating...but don't actually think it's "wrong".

How fun!! Congrats to you and your FI! Sounds like you guys have some fun stuff lined up...and it great that the in-laws all hit it off! Makes family gatherings and such so much easier! :-) have fun!!!

That being said it was VERY fun to stumble across this thread today - totally made my day! I can't believe I've been married for two years already! Time flies man... And it was fun thinking back on how I got started here on the forum while reading Glenda's post here. Yup, I came on as an over-achiever MOH and just decided to stay forever. lol! My bff Monica was planning a DW in Puerto Vallarta and this forum was absolutely invaluable for us! Even her dad said to make sure and post a "thank you" from him after the wedding for all the help we recieved! Quote: Happy Anniversary Rachelle! I was going to say VS and Target also...that's where I get the majority of my suits...and I've gotten white ones from both places. Also, I got a cute white one at Hollister last year. I guess the trick is to go somewhere w/ a lot of suits and increase the odds of finding one you like. Stores like Just Add Water are great since they usually have a LOT of different styles and you can buy separates...nice if you're bigger in one area than another etc. Also Roxy has cute ones sometimes...and if you dont have a Roxy store, you can buy online too. Or Gap has really good ones too.

I agree that the "hollow to hem" measurment is the way to order your dress...unless the length of the sample is particularly good for you. What they do is measure from that "hollow" on your neck/throat between your collar bones...like where a charm on a choker style necklace would sit if you were wearing one. Anyway, they measure from that point to where you would want the hem to be (make sure you have a shoe of the height you want for when they take this measurement...most salons will have shoes in almost any height you could use too.) and then they just make the dress that length. I did this for my dress and it was perfect! No hemming for me! It's usually a smallish additional cost to order it this way...but typically far less expensive than having to take off a bunch of length and hem it in the salon. Ask about it when you're dress shopping and they can show you how it works.

I can't believe I finally get to post in this thread! lol! yay! Well I had my first Dr's appt on Monday this week. It went really well. We got an ultrasound and all is well w/ the baby. We were able to see his/her heartbeat! SO fun and exciting! Obviously it's still pretty early in the pregnancy for me, so nothing too exciting to report. I'm feeling mostly ok. Starting to get pretty queasy if I don't keep something in my stomach and getting really picky about foods - NOTHING sounds good! lol! I've eaten a LOT of cereal lately since that's the only thing that doesn't sound gross half the time. Otherwise I'm just really sleepy and waiting around for this baby to grow! ;-)

omg! Carly all this stuff looks amazing! I can't believe how much of it you made yourself! The fg dresses, oot bags etc. You're a talented lady! ;-) I think everything is going to look amazing when it's all together...can't wait to see pics of your big day!!!

yeah! renting the dvd's is great idea! We started watching in season 3...so we got 1 and 2 on dvd and played catch up on it. it was really fun and we got addicted fast!!

Claire and Jack are half-siblings.....only they dont' know it. So Claire's father and Jack's father are the same person. That's who Jack saw at his office. It's all very tricky! lol! There is a LOT to keep track of!

yeah, I agree that the whole Jack/Kate/Aaron thing is pre-meltdown for Jack. You can see the beginnings of it with the whole disturbing convo w/ Hurley and him asking that Dr for a prescription near the end of the show. I am really anxious to see how this whole thing unfolds.
