  1. I voted for #3..the blue one too. But I really liked #1 and #2 a LOT also. I just thought the blue was so pretty and it would look great on a dressed up boy! ;-) You'll have to let us know which one you went with!
  2. We're doing our anniversary trip this weekend. I have to work 'til 1pm on Saturday but then we're leaving town to hang out in a little bed & breakfast a couple hours away, Sat night through Mon morning. The little town is really cute and our fave thing is the drive in theater...we love it! lol! So we'll cozy up in the back of my suv and watch movies one night. We did this last year and got pretty drunk from the cooler of "goodies" we brought with us...guess I won't be repeating that scenario this year! lol!
  3. ok are all these GH episodes on dvd? "cause I have some serious catching up to do! lol! I never remember when it's on and so I haven't put it on the dvr yet. I wanna see a creepy fairy story!!!
  4. I agree with you. I think traditionally out of town family is invited to the RD for an "at home" wedding. Obviously mostly as a courtesy since they don't really need to be there...but if everyone they know is that the dinner, it would be a bummer to leave them hanging. You know? While that logic doesn't exactly work for a DW (since everyone is "from out of town"! lol!) I think with a party your size, it's the way to go. If you were having a much larger wedding...like 100 people or something then that might be a different story since at least 50 of them would likely have no real business at a rehearsal or RD. My bff had a DW and she just invited everyone who came to the RD. So even those not at the rehearsal still met up for dinner. It was really fun.
  5. Thanks! We think so!! We have our first official Dr's appt next week...can't wait!!
  6. Oh that...I'm just pregnant. LOL! Thanks!!! It's a pretty recent development...we'd been trying for a little while so we're VERY excited! :-)
  7. Quote: haha we watch both. I like GH better. PS isn't as scientific based as GH. That's probably the reason for the hate. ' yeah, I hear that. I"m just a fan of creepy in general...I don't much care how scientific it is. Quote: I want to go to my aunt's house and investigate. I've hinted around at it but she didn't bite. She ran into something solid in broad daylight- TWICE!! She said it felt exactly like someone was standing in front of her and she didn't see anything. Needless to say, It freaked her out bad. They have freaky crap always happen at her house. It's for sure haunted. omg - Creepy!!!! I would be so nervous if I was her! Have other family members had weird experiences there too?
  8. oh gosh! I love that show too! I don't watch it near enough though. But if I'm looking for something I'll totally search to see if it's on...that or Paranormal State. Love those shows! My friends that love Ghost Hunters absolutely hates Paranormal State...is there some kind of rivalry that I should know about?! ;-)
  9. Quote: Our Ice Tea is different too. Up here it's more like kool-aid - FULL of sugar. It's not cold tea with sugar either, I don't know how you explain it other then it being sugary goodness. girl...I gotta tell ya, as a southerner I about DIED when I was served Canadian iced tea! lol! omg...it's just SO not what I'm used to. The very fact that ACTUAL TEA is not needed to make it was a terrible shock to me! (Every time I had it while I was in BC it was made from an instant mix) We make it strong and sweet where I live. Like 5 big tea bags steeped in just a few cups of water - then we dump in a pretty good amount of sugar while it's still hot and dilute it by adding a TON of ice. It's pretty serious business. lol! Quote: Also, doesn't one of your OTC drugs have Codeine in it? Like the tylenol does or something? maybe that's just my brain being crazy but I remember another one of my canadian friends stocking up on certain OTC meds while she was up there visiting...she just thought they were better or something I guess. oh, and jsut to clarify...I'm not suggesting that you bring everyone drugs! lol! Unless they ask for them... ;-)
  10. ahhh...ketchup chips! lol! I haven't thought about those in ages!! And don't you guys have Smarties too? They're like M&M's but a little different? I have to say I'm partial to the M&M's myself...but I remember a friend of mine being VERY glad to receive some Smarties in the mail one time! ;-) Also, doesn't one of your OTC drugs have Codeine in it? Like the tylenol does or something? maybe that's just my brain being crazy but I remember another one of my canadian friends stocking up on certain OTC meds while she was up there visiting...she just thought they were better or something I guess. Ooh...and Toblerone comes to mind...but I think you can find that most places in the states now...it used to be more difficult to track down.
  11. Quote: Saw U-2's lead singer (so bad, can't think of his name right now) Ummmm...Bono?! lol! That's really cool though...I'd be little star struck if I saw Bono somewhere. Quote: We also know a lot of local celebs - mainly radio personalities as one of my Dad's best friend has a show on 105.3 (for those of you in Dallas). Pugs of Pugs & Kelly by chance? I was thinking that from something else you posted a while back but didn't ask about it at the time. he seems like a cool guy...my sister totally got me hooked on that show a while back and now I'm a pretty serious Jagger show fan. I actually listened to them back at the Edge, but think they're way better now at the new station. Quote: Pierre Matisse (Henri Matisse's grandson Very cool!
  12. Awww! I'm glad everything worked out ok for him!! I would have been SO pissed at that girl! What a B*tch!!! And I have to say, I had no idea how TINY you were Kat!! Your "little" bro and Dad totally tower over you! lol! So cute!!!
  13. Yay! You're back!! I'm SO happy to hear that everything was absolutely perfect! You looked gorgeous and i have to say I'm loving that pic of you in the hammock! You look adorable and just so happy and relaxed!! Welcome home Mrs!!!
  14. Honestly, the hybrid SUV's aren't all that much better for gas milage yet. If you are doing it for the gas mileage, then one of the tiny cars (think Prius) is the way to go because those are going to yeild the best results in that area. But obviously those cars aren't practical for everyone...we have one SUV and one car. We absolutely have to have an SUV because our dog cannot fit into a car at all...he's 120 lbs and he's tall! If you're SUV shopping w/ a concern about gas mileage then just do a lot of comparisons and see what might fit best for you. Some SUV's are way worse than others. Esp the ones w/ the big V8 engines etc. IMO, the Japanese cars tend to rate the best on this stuff...Toyotas and even Nissans. That being said, some of the Toyota suv's in particualr can be pretty pricey...though if you find a good deal on a pre-owned that might be worth it since Toyotas hold up really well and last for ages. Also, if you are going to be shopping for a hybrid, definitely take the time to research how a particualr brand's hybrid works. For instance the Lexus hybrid vehicles - esp the RX400h, small suv (that I have attended many a tedious class on since I work for them..) are much more fuel efficent for in-town driving as opposed to highway driving. At lower speeds the vehicle runs just on the hybrid engine using essentially no gas and obivously creating almost zero emissions. We reccomend this for clients who have a driving pattern similar to the average "soccer mom", making short trips all around town to school, grocery store, bank, dry cleaners etc. Almost never using the highway or driving at highway speeds. They'll be using their hybrid engine/battery only for these lower speeds and the frequent stops (stop signs, lights etc) utilize the brakes more...which is key since the way the hybrid "battery" recharges is through energy created and stored during the braking process. So really look into the details of how the particular vehicle you're interested in functions to see if it would, in fact, be beneficial for you based on your driving habits and the technology it uses. Also, remember when shopping for any car, the estimated MPG's are based on road tests done w/ one passenger and no cargo in the vehicle, not running the a/c on high, using premium fuel etc. So what's on the sticker is always going to be better than what the average driver actually gets.
  15. It's gorgeous!!!! You look absolutely perfect in it! :-) Congrats on finding "the one"!
  16. Alyssa...I am SO sorry to hear about this. I do remember hearing about it initially, but had hoped that things would improve. I know this must be incredibly difficult for you...I'm so so sorry! I know there's nothing I can do to make this better, but just know that I'm thinking of your family and wishing I could give you a big hug!
  17. Everything looks great!!! Your wedding venue looks absolutely beautiful! It's going to be perfect. :-) Can't wait to see all the pics/finished product!!
  18. AHHH! I can't believe your wedding is so soon Courtney!!! Time has really flown by! Everything looks absolutely perfect!!! And I know I've seen pics of your dress before, but I have to say, it's just gorgeous on you! I'm just SO excited for you guys!! You're going to be a beautiful bride!! I'm already anxious to see pics! LOL! Congrats doll!! Everything looks perfect!
  19. LOL! That's too funny Christa!! I wasn't referring to your "recreational activites" ....but if it makes you feel better, I had a very similar thought before I posted that comment. But I couldn't think of another concise way to word that! lol!
  20. Quote: Gawd Rachelle, what the hell is wrong with you? You are so...what's the word??...TACKY! Hello, Pot? It's me...Kettle. lol! j/k! And I must say, those are some strong words coming from a girl in the CTG!
  21. It's called Tequila, Christa. Quote: Of course it's the Chair Tie Gang. Or known in most inner cities as the CTG. Recognize lol! word.
  22. just checked out your blog - great pics!!
  23. Those pics are adorable Anny!!!! I think he has your eyes! :-)
  24. Quote: I think that's a blessing. When Steve gets annoyed with people, he pretends he's deaf and starts signing. He thinks he's brilliant, but really- the people know he's not deaf and continue talking. OMG! LO-F*CKING-L!!! (yes, I HAD to throw the "F" word in there! lol!) That is the most horrible/hilarious thing I think I've ever heard! I keep envisioning that episode of My Name is Earl where Joy is making fun of her deaf lawyer...so bad, yet SO funny!!! Just shocking really. God...this whole paragraph makes me sound so tacky - but I trust most of you girls know me well enough now to handle it! ;-)
  25. Ok, first of all LOL at Christa's wedding pic! I freakin' LOVE that pic!!!! I'm so glad you posted it again!!! And OMG about the "stripper"! Creepy!!!! But it DOES make for a good story years later. . .once you've been able to get past some of the shock and ickiness of it all! LOL!
