  1. Jessica I hope you have an amazing wedding and that it is everything you dreamed of and more! Congrats! Have an amazing time at your wedding and honeymoon. And of course hurry back to bring us pics and a review.
  2. Edyta I finally saw pics! YAY! Thank goodness for FI's that know their technology. (Courtney I'm sure you'll back me up on that one) Edyta everything was gorgeous! I loved the horses, they are so romantic. And I saw the bunnies it was the cutest thing ever. You must have been tearing when you saw them. I love the song that Juan had for your slideshow it's so cute. It's such a happy song for the occasion! Congrats again!
  3. First of all Karen, congratulations on the weight loss. That is a huge accomplishment. You should def continue on with your goal, and you should not let a nasty sales lady ruin your happy time. Screw her. Sorry but that's how I really feel. LOL. And Jason is amazing and def a keeper and you are going to have the most romantic wedding w/just the two of you and it will be all the more special knowing that you lost those last 4 pounds that you wanted to shed. ~I never heard of the core plan but I need to get on it immediately!
  4. Welcome! Let us know how we can help and enjoy the wedding planning.
  5. I had no idea that she sold her stuff so that you could DIY. I just always figured that you had to buy the material yourself and then follow her instructions on the website. Good to know that you can get her stuff on Michaels!
  6. I am planning to get my teeth professionally whitened, only b/c my teeth are so yellow I could put the sun out of business. But my sister uses Crest Whitening strips and they worked really well for her, so you should def give them a try. Also, I wouldn't do the tanning either, only b/c a lot of the photogs said you will look orange. But if you are very pale then maybe heed Courtney's advice and get a base coat so that at least you won't burn.
  7. I would like to nominate Courtney (Nini bride) She is always remembering people's b-days and wedding days. She posts all the time and she is so helpful and friendly to all the new members. Furthermore, she always gives good advice and is willing to help anyone out. So I vote for Courtney!
  8. Jill I hope it works out, it looks like its a great way to decorate w/o too much expense in flowers. You have BM's right? Maybe they can help you make them in Mexico as well so it won't take so long.
  9. Sarah the video was great. Even my FI wanted to watch it and he thought it was amazing and that you did a great job with the decorations. You looked absolutely beautiful. I loved everything about it. You are so lucky that you had Edyta and Tammy in the video. I wish everyone on this forum could come to my wedding. LOL. Everything looked just flawless, I loved it.
  10. Edyta I'm glad everything went so well! I'm not going to lie I haven't seen your wedding pics yet b/c I can't download Juan's program but the few ones I have seen look amazing! I love the tiffany's chairs, they make the whole decor look so elegant. I think the bunny story is so cute, I almost died. How adorable. If that is not the cutest thing ever then I don't know what is.
  11. Merryme I'm so late to this but I'm glad to hear that everything worked out. Men usually get bored after awhile but in the end they usually come through when it matters the most.
  12. Airport Security: Ma'am are you aware that you are carrying 15 pounds of glass that could be used to break over someone's head and/or body part and could seriously injure/kill someone? Sarah: Yes I am. Airport Security: Oh, well we didn't really care about that. We actually just care about the colored sand. We are going to need to do some highly sophisticated, advanced tests pursuant to the United States Government Traveling with Colored Sand Act, Secion 18907, subsection B, number (5). Sarah: Yeah, whatever I just got married, I don't care. You go ahead and run your little test. I'll just be making out with my hot, new hubby in the corner. Let us know when your done measuring your manhood, er I mean testing the sand. Minutes later... Airport Security: Ma'am based on our extensive investigations we have reason to believe that your colored sand came from the desserts of Afghanistan. Have you traveled to Afghanistan recently? Sarah: Uhhh no. Just Cabo to get married. And that sand came from A.C. Moore. Aisle 9 behind the colored paints. I bought it on sale. I have the receipt if you want to see it. Airport Security: Sorry ma'am but we're going to need to confiscate the sand. You can however proceed to board the plane with your dangerous glass that could potentially kill someone. You have a great day ma'am.
  13. Welcome! The pedegral sounds wonderful. Are you renting a villa? I hope everything gets worked out with you and the passport situation. That really sucks that you don't have it yet.
  14. You know what else I just thought about looking at the pic you posted again? If you did your table decor like that (with just candles) you would save so much money on flowers. That is a great money saver. The table candles and the little pompoms on the napkins are all the decoration that you need. You could even add some scattered rose petals if you like. But I think in Mexico simplicty is best since the natural decor is so beautiful. And I'm a big fan of saving money! LOL.
  15. Jill I love these. I also so thought someone else mentioned they might do this but I also can't remember who. I always wanted to do these but I didn't know where I would hang them. Where were you thinking of hanging them from? I think they are so festive and add nice color to the decor. And I love pink!
  16. Let's give a big BDW congrats to our newest moderators...Courtney (Nini Bride) and Jill (Jilly76)!!!! Since the forum is getting so big we need more moderators and I can't think of two better girls for the job! We are lucky to have them so congrats girls!!! I know you will both do an amazing job.
  17. I will wait to get a couple of people's request. Then I will go when the soonest person's wedding is. (Don't even know if that makes sense). I will go way before the first bride's wedding so I can make sure that they get it in time, but this way it will still give people enough time to know how many guests are coming and how many they will need. Also, for the girls having weddings during the summer months, I wouldn't recommend getting them b/c it is hot that I doubt any of your guests will use them. However if you just feel like giving a gift for them to take home then it could be nice. ~Lizzy I take no offense w/wanting to know what they look like ahead of time. I would be nervous to purchase something sight unseen also.
  18. Your pics are amazing! What wonderful color. Congratulations! You two look so happy. I can't wait to read your review.
  19. Sarah, I am so excited for you! And its about time we saw some more RIU pics! Have the best wedding ever. I hope its everything you dreamed of and more. We will be here anxiously awaiting your pics and review.
  20. Yes chinatown, NY. I think I am free in 2030. LOL. Don't worry the proposal will happen soon.
  21. No prob! ~Oh no Tammy did u not order my individual cake? LOL
  22. Claudia I would be happy to get them for you. Here is some info on the pashs: 1. The vendor is a street vendor in chinatown. There is no website or receipts or anything like that, its just kind of like a small little space where they sell handbags and accessories. 2. They are usually 3 for $10 but now that I hussled with the woman she gives them to me for $2.75. 3. The pash are not real. What I mean by that is that they are knock-offs. They have tags that say "PASHMINA" on them and they are pretty nice for the price. However, I preface it by saying that they are not real pashminas b/c I don't want anyone getting them thinking that I have misled them in some way to think that they were the real deal. 4. Unfortunately I can't return them, so if you don't like them you are stuck with them. They pretty much have every color (except I have learned for yellow, although they do have a nice marigold). 5. There is always the chance that I cannot get the exact shade of a specific color. For example you may ask me for 30 tourqoise ones. I may only be able to get 27 in one shade of tuorqoise and then I have to buy the rest in a lighter color b/c they ran out. 6. Just so you know I am not in the business of selling pashs, I just pick them up sometimes for girls on the site who want them. I only mention this so that newer girls who don't know me well don't think that I am trying to make money off this, it's strictly done as a favor to the brides to be. 7. If you send me a pic of a color you like (or colors) then I can get try to get the best match for you. 8. I would PM some of the girls that I got pashs for and ask them if they liked the quality or not. They will be the best way to tell if you really should get them. Also, some of the just married girls like WEEZ, AQHARIDER, and KARLAV, gave them to their guests so maybe ask them if their guests liked them. I take no offense if people hated them. Heck I didn't make them. LOL.
  23. Hey guys if a lot of people want pashs then I'll def go back. It would depend on when people's weddings are though. I am swamped with trials and I have a ton of weddings every weekend for the next couple of weeks so I can't promise anyone that needs pashs ASAP. But if someone's wedding isn't coming up for awhile then I should have no problem getting them. PM me with how many you would want and what colors. I have been able to get them for $2.75 each the last two times I went.
  24. Hmm I thought it was tomorrow also. Okay you'll just have to start partying earlier. HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!
