  1. Sorry I can't help, I have never heard of them. But the dresses look really cute though.
  2. I never even knew there was a such thing as flower district. And I used to live on 36th and 6th Avenue. Hmm just goes to show you, you live here all your life and still learn something knew everyday.
  3. Courtney this is so hysterical. I have to show this to my bosses, they will die.
  4. Heidi I like the gazebo on the beach but I agree about the whole shading thing. However if you have a great photog that probably won't be a problem. But I do also think that DR has such great beaches that you should just do your ceremony on the sunny open beach. After all you will have your whole reception to be in the somewhat shaded area.

    HI

Welcome! Let us know how we can help.
  6. Rachelle you look gorgeous. Umm I have to say though I think you lost your mind, thinking that no one would want to see your wedding pics. Have you met us? We feen pics like a hooker feens crack. Jen I can't believe you are getting married in a couple of days. As far as the sparklers go I would also get more so that each of your guests can have one. You can also place them in a heart in the sand and you and FI can sit in them and take a pic. It maybe a nice thank you card. You guys can sit inside and kiss or just sit in inside and look lovingly at each other. *sigh* Can you guys tell I feel romantic?
  7. Are you looking for hair products or ways to style your hair? A way to get some volume is by using the volumizer on your blowdryer, and blowdrying your hair upside down. Throw all your hair upside down and then use the diffuser to give it some oomph. Another thing you can do is skip the conditioner when you wash. The conditioner makes your hair silkier but it will flatten it out if its really fine. You can use any special shampoo that thickens hair and gives it volume like cheap ones such as Aussie or Tresemme or you can use more expensive ones such as Sebestian or Frederick Fekkai. Sorry I just realized you were only asking Erica. LOL.
  8. Let us know how we can help with the wedding planning.
  9. Well technically Jessalyn got legally married in Maui but it will be the first party with guests wedding. I am so excited for these Hawaii weddings, it will be so much fun to see a different change of scenery!!
  10. Yes Jessalyn I too have been thinking about you! I want to hear all the fabulous details. It must have been so romantic. And the Four Seasons is stunning. Aaaah I can't wait for all the pics! Congrats, congrats, congrats!
  11. Congrats! I know your wedding will be amazing as you have wonderful taste! And your pics will be great b/c Sol is also amazing. I hope its everything you dream of and more. YAY!!! Hurry back with lots of pics but not before enjoying your honeymoon of course.
  12. Brenda a million congratulations! This is so exciting! Congrats to the new Mrs! Hope your wedding was everything you dreamed of and more. YAY!! Can't wait to see pics.
  13. I don't know when Sherri is leaving for Hawaii but I wanted to wish her the best of luck with her wedding (May 31st). I hope it is everything you dreamed of and more. I know it is going to be amazing, you better bring us back lots of pics and of course we will be drooling waiting for your review. Have an amazing time and a safe trip!
  14. Why are FMIL's so difficult? I often wonder if magically by becoming mom's we will change into these evil villians as well when we have our own son's. Geez! I'm glad Erik spoke to her and I'm sorry that things didn't turn out so great. I wish I had better advice for you but as I'm sure you've read I am completely undecisive and don't even want to hear the word "wedding" in my presence unless its related to this forum. Families make everything so stressful. As does money. I'm sorry I'm not helpful but I'm here for you and I will pray that she cools off and that everything goes well.
  15. Maria was the $45 for surf and turf or for just a regular meal? That seems pricey? Maybe was she including the fee for the ceremony per person + the fee for the dinner? B/c that would seem to make more sense. I don't know. I know in Cabo it's $24 (I think that's what the price is up to now) for the ceremony set up fee and $24 for the reception set up fee. But if you want surf and turf it's $44 (again I think) but that includes dessert. You can usually talk them down to less if you don't want to include the dessert and just want a cake or something.
  16. Welcome! Obv we have already chatted in other posts but I wanted to say welcome and let us know how we can help with your wedding planning.
  17. I was going to suggest the One & Only or Las Ventanas until I re-read your post. LOL. So I would also say the ME (although I hear it is pretty loud and there are a lot of partiers so you may not like it for a honeymoon) or the Marquis. Although now that I think of it, I think the Marquis is pricey too. Pueblo Bonita sounds very romantic and nice. I would go with that or look into some of the options that Janet suggested.
  18. Congrats Jen, it sounds like you had an awesome wedding! I am so happy for you. Can't wait for the pics and your review.
  19. Why do I feel like everyone else's photog expense is so much cheaper than mine? I know I signed Juan up for a trillion hours but even his very basic package was $3,000. I know his prices went up but you got a good deal Sarah for trash the dress and engagement photos. Christa your photog budget was great too.
  20. Tara the lemon aid is for the red eyelid correction, not a concealer for the dark circles under your eye. Sorry but you got the wrong one. Can you exchange it? Did you get it at Sephora? Is it unopened? You should be able to exchange it if its not used or opened.
  21. Congrats Jessica! I hope it was everything you dreamed it to be and more!
  22. Thanks Christa you are amazing! Your input is greatly appreciated.
  23. I know we already have a budget thread but I was wondering if some of the more recently married brides would post how much they spent on their wedding so that we can have a more accurate idea of how much things cost. The girls who got married in 2006 had such great explanations of their budget but some of it is really off base considering that a lot of girls are getting married in 2008. I mean I think Tammy (host) got Juan for under $2,000. That's just not realistic now since his prices have gone up. Also it is no longer $20 per person at Dreams it is now $24 I believe for 2008. I thought it would be helpful if we could get a more recent account of how much things were costing. Maybe Sarah, Edyta, Louisa, Mishi, Melissa, Jennifer, Sarah, Karla V, Natasha, Christa and anyone else who recenlty got married could post their budgets and how much they spent on their weddings. I know I would greatly appreciate it.
  24. I am not much help but what about the pom-poms that Jill posted in another thread? You can get them at AC Moore and they seem to be pretty easy to assemble. Another idea is to add lots and lots of different shapes of candles.
