Another great option if you have a scaner ... go to a high end wrapping paper store... find a paper you like and scan. you can always change color & cut & paste.

If you wanted you could make something very easily out of PVC and just spray paint it. That is what we did - only we misscalculated that it had to be burried in the sand and it was too short... pretty but short I actually wish I had used 2" pvc instead of 1" and made it slightly larger & taller. We got everything at a local plumbing store and the whole thing cost less than $80 dls. Fabric: we bought 20 yards of white tulle and cut and placed onsite ... no sewing just cut to fit and tied to poles with ribbon.

I would use the green orchid it will photoghaph much better. and yes placement is key. maybe you can have one side pulled back and place the orchid behind and above the ear and you may need two or three instead of one. especially if your hair is curled. I know they look big but you would be surprised. Since you have the orchids for the fans why don't you splurge and get a hair trial and take a pic. You may also want to consider a low loose curl bun close to the nape. Very sexy and very loose but with ton's of hairspray. Then you can arrange the orchids kind of like this:

If it is an election day then yes most establishments that serve alcohol will not be serving. BUT this applies only to MEXICANS. As you will be staying in a resort it is a different matter all toghether THEY can sell alcohol to foreign guests. Sooo no worries!

OK girs, I wrangled the information from my coordinator!!! As she is in Todos Santos I explained to her that most of you are either in the mainland or having weddings in Cabo and are not competition to her. Here it is she got the roses and lilies for my wedding from these people. COXFLOR.COM They sell in bulk and sometimes are limited to color choices. It is really cheap. They have several categories of roses and prices are based on quality. Prices start at $10 dls up to $22 dls for one bulk (25 roses). Lilies $12-20 dls per bulk (10 stems- each stem can have 3-5 flowers or buds). Costs do not include shipping. Shipping to the La Paz airport was arround $50 dls for a box (box had up to 6 or 7 bulks of roses). They can fly them to the Cabo or La Paz airport and someone has to pick them up. Make sure that the person who will be picking up is on the shipping lable as they will nor release the flowers to just anyone. I do not know if they speak english. Remember these flowers are in bulk and you will have to either hire someone to arrange or do it yourself. My mother in law has used these people before for her high society events in Mexico city. The black dresses may be really pretty with mango flowers and the mango parasols! The pictures would be fenomenal!! On the dresses you may want to change the white bows to mango. I think this combo would be really striking!

Christa- Sounds like you had a perfect honeymoon! I'm so glad you like Todos Santos ! It is my favorite town in the Baja. I am getting ready to buy a two bedroom house overlooking the Todos Santos Lagoon and the Pacific Ocean. I think we will be putting in an offer next week.

The Tres leches cake is very good but keep in mind that it has to be refrigerated up to serving. Basically it is a white sponge cake soaked with three tipes of milk- regular, carnation,and a condensed sweetened milk. Usually the frosting is real whipped cream. Ive seen it decorated with ton's of fresh flowers.

I would do the cranberry (it is almost fuscia but not quite) color of the ginger flowers. It will photograph incredibly. Most of your girls have brown hair and would look gorgeous in a cranberry color and I would let them choose the style just keep the color and maybe the fabric the same.

One great trick I always use to prevent getting sick: get plain yogurt sold in most stores everywhere in Mexico. The good bacteria in the yogurt will help keep your good intestinal bacteria going. Eat at least a large spoonfull every morning. if you can't find the yogurt look for Chamoyito or Yakul - They also have the good bacteria - This porduct is marketed for kids so you will probably find it just as easy.

I would probably have the weding at the beach, have the VERY fancy dinner, with some special touches (cake , exchange a memento with your MIL and aunt- maybe a framed picture). Then arrange for a private picnic on the beach with new hubby, blanket, canddles, champagne, strawberrys, extra special chocolate, your favorites. Enjoy!!!

I actually had real miniature roses. They were gorgeous and I pressed them afterwards as a keepsake.

I would do the lilies- they are large and showy and you would probably put 2 or three stems in the vase with greenery. Definitely get greenery. I would get at least two colors of greenery and they have to be different in shapes. Just to add contrast. SOOO... 6 vases and 2 or 3 stems per vase= 12 or 18 stems so... just to be safe I would order 2 bunches. That would give you 20 stems to work with. Also make sure you ask if all 2 or 3 flowers in each stem will be fully open as this will make a difference.

My dad was The worst- Sad to say but he is a NEW YORK CITY snob! Nowhere in Mexico was going to be good enough for his friends.. But once I really sat down and talked to him and He made a site visist. Then he really got into it. Both Family and friends had an incredible time and any time we all get toghether people are still saying what a great time they had and how fun it would be to go back. My father is still talking about what a wonderful opportunity it was for everyone to be toghether for such an extended time and in such a relaxed setting. It all boils down to one thing what YOU as a coupple want. Don't let family pressure you into doing something you don't want... especially if you are paying for it.

i don't want to buy them and ship them. What am I going to do with all of them afterwards? You could always ask your coodinator is she want's to buy them from you at a discounted cost. My coordinator bought just about everything back from me as she wanted to have stock to offer her clients at more reasonable prices.
