  1. I lik ethe color combo too! Definitely very fiesta!!
  2. Originally I wanted orquids because they are more contemporary but when I saw the red roses and what my WC proposed I fell in love with roses all over again. I really like the composite bouquets I have been finding. didn't even know about them. I'm in charge of decorations for my sister in law's baby shower so I may just make some of them for decorations "floating" in n square glass platters? I'm going to try making them in pinks. Maybe even go center white with light pink to dark pink. She is having a girl.
  3. Here is another of these gorgeous bouquets with lilies. http://www.cosentinosflorist.com/Wed...iteBuquets.htm
  4. Ok I'll make it too!! I just got some cans of the sauce. I was actually going to make them for dinner. Tammy- Another version: Pie AZTECA- Kind of lasagnia - sp?- but with tortillas. Layer tortillas with green sauce, cheese, shreded chicken breast, corn chopped fresh onion, cilantro (or not- anny). Keep layering and top off with sauce & generous layer of cheese. Place in 360 degree oven until cooked and then place under broiler 3-5 minutes to brown cheese. VERY yummy! This version can be made with the red sauce too. Best with the Chile Pasilla sauce.
  5. We actually were going to use them. I was going to use lime green, brown and red for my colors... but I fell in love with the drowned red roses! Plus I'm always changing my mind !! I amost always change my mind in the very end. One other reason was that I thought the red would look better in the pictures AND I was right!
  6. Tammy: Wow sounds like you are getting major cravings:) You can also get the green sauce "salsa verde" in cans or you can make a bunch and freeze in smaller baggs. My last morning in Baja we had a different type of chilaquiles. The tortillas were pan fried with a little oil then they added eggs and made a scramble in same pan untill eggs are cooked - finally they added the sauce. Placed very hot on a plate with cheese & the cream.. VERY, VERY YUMMY!!!

I like it even better than the rose composite, but I also really love stargazer lilies. It looks like it might be easier to make than the rose one, too, b/c there aren't nearly as many petals. I haven't figured out how to post pics yet (I'm not especially good with that stuff!) but I could try to scan it and post it later on, or email it if you are interested. I found a picture of the composite lily bouquet it IS gorgeous!!! http://studiobfloral.com/images/Lily...%20Bouquet.gif

I just went on the Old navy site and they have several colors at 2 for $5 dls. they have a pink that is called love letter pink not quite fushia. http://www.oldnavy.com/browse/outfit...6&oid=OUT03362 They also have the guys in black http://www.oldnavy.com/browse/category.do?cid=16727 It is VERY easy to order online. They have some really cute stripped and polka dots!!
  9. I know!! Happy did an incredible job. Yes, I am VERY glad that I was able to please my family and in the end it was a wonderful and meaningful moment. It felt a little more sacred that the beach ceremony- which was fun and lighthearted. Just what I wanted. By the way those buckets are cheap and readily available in several sizes including large oval and round. We used the larger oval size full of ice beer & wine with some flowers as decoration. Everyone loved it.
  10. Good for your MOM!! MY grandma would have boxed his ears!! It is sooo weird that they make it so hard.. and really your mom is right it just makes people not want to belong or go to church. More and more people are opting to explore other religions!

I would have thought that your church would not have aproblem. That is one of the things that I really don't like about the Catholic church... how hard they make things for people. They can be worse than the IRS.
  13. Plus Half of that order was a rush order the day before the wedding because we ended up doing the church blessing! I think if you shop arround you can do it.

My blessing was at the church in Todos santos 2 hours North of San Jose. I know that the church made an exception for us... but you should remember that it WAS JUST a blessing NOT a wedding ceremony. If you are having a hard time and are willing to maybe have your guests travel a bit to maybe a smaller town for the ceremony. I heard that in some of the smaller towns North of San Jose on the Gulf side.. the Padres are a little more lenient and are willing to accept a little donation to do so. ie. do not require the months of talks. You may want to check them out.
  17. My coordinator was able to order over 700 roses from mainland Mexico in RED (right before x-mas - worst time of the year for red colors) as well as red lilies and the total cost including shipping was $800 dls. Then she hired a florist to do the labor for the wedding $200 dls for the day!!
