  6. They have clear 8x10 labels at Office depot and the company that makes them has templates(word format) online that you can download. So instead of printing on the vellum paper you could just print labels with your logo, names, etc... The templates contemplate several sizes and designs and this way you can center by hand when you stick on names. .
  7. These are soo cute. I hope you all can see them! http://www.hallmark.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/ecard|10001|10051|110509|-102001;11442;-102074||P1R6SO|ecards http://www.hallmark.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/ecard|10001|10051|146050|-102001;11442;-102074||P1R3SO|ecards
  8. What about making a donation to a charity in Cabo that helps local children? I think this might me a really nice idea to help the children where you are getting married. I'm sure your guests would love it! I was just on trip advisor and saw this post. This lady will even come and pickup the donations and will make sure they are delivered to the correct people. Posted on: 10:17 pm, February 07, 2006Report inappropriate post Thanks to many of you that want to help our children I thought I make a separate post on how those that want to can help. If you want to help a little or a lot...we can really use baby blankets/receiving blankets, new small suffed animals, sleepers or onezies for our newborn babies. No, we never have too many. Our art teacher that volunteers her time can use paint, paper or brushes for her kids. Watercolor ;-). Our schools can use your old laptops that work. (We would only be able to give them to the schools with electricity.) Ones that don't work aren't of any use, sorry. Many of our children learn to use computers on cardboard boxes...some things just aren't right. We can use fat crayons for real little people as well as regular crayons, paper, backpacks and any other school supplies normal kids use. If you are limited on room, feel free to go to Soriana's or on the current 'down' steet in front of Love Shack where they sell school supplies. You can purchase items when you get here. Really, our children, their parents and teachers can use all the help they can get. And, best of all...they are very appreciative and say Thank You! If you'd like to e-mail me directly my address is: [email protected] and when you get here, my cell phone here in Cabo is 044-624-355-3477. ~Abrazos y un beso to you all. Diana
  9. I think I saw a package of white paper bags at Costco CHEAP!
  10. Are you using any greenery with the orchids and roses? Also I think your wedding is small? so I think a smaller to medium bouquet is perfect! I would go and buy some roses from Costco or the grocery store and bunch them together so that you can get an idea of size. Make sure you try your wedding dress with them and take a quick digital pic so you can see what it would look like.
  11. I never thought to ask. I will have my coordinator ask them when they are in season. They are large orchids but if you see Tammy's I think just on one side of her bouquet she counted 19 so I figured 40 would be good. I will not know how many I will use untill I start making them. I am wearing a very simple and elegant dress so I really want a large bouquet. Tammym- Aren't you doing roses in yours too? The roses will fill in the bouquets nicely. The orchids will need to be wired individually. and then you wrap floral tape arround the wire to make a "fake stem". Once they are all ready you just start making the bouquet. Once you are happy with what it looks like then you can wrap with floral tape again just to hold the shape (you can also use rubber bands). Then you can check for symetry (hope you don't have to take it appart and start again) FINAL step: wrap stems with sattin ribbon and hold in place with pins that have a pearl heads or tie in to a bow/ streamers. You will need: at least 4-6 pins floral tape and wire probably 1-2 yards of satting ribbon - This will depend on if you will have some streamers or a bow. I tried a dry run with Roses that I got at Costco and it worked really well. It looked great as a centerpiece in a glass hurricane for sunday dinner with the rents!
  12. Yea, you would benefit if you are doing a big wedding here is the breakdown: Each flower costs $1.70 You must buy at least 5 boxes @ a shipping cost of $30 dls per box =$150 In each box there can be 3-5 flowering branches. In each branch there are between 8-12 orchids X 3-5 in each box= each box would at least have 30 to at most 50. So that breaks down to $1 to $.60 cents per orchid for shipping. You would have to buy at least 150 -250 orchids- Approximate expense for 150 orchids $255 dls plus $150 shipping= $405 dls. ($2.70 each) Approximate expense for 250 orchids $425 dls plus $150 shipping=$575 dls ($2.30 each) So yea this is only good for large weddings like mine. I will be needing at least: 40 orchids for bouquet 20 orchids for bridesmaids X6= 120 10-12 orchids for centerpieces x15 tables = 150 plus another 20-30 for hair bouttoniers, corsages etc... My sister and I will be making everything the night before with BM's before rehersal dinner.
  13. sure they ship anywhere where there is an airport. Shipping information to Cabo: Minimum of 5 boxes: $280 pesos per box For 12 boxes: $230 pesos per box. So add at least $30 dls per box x5 = $150 dls. I'm getting the info on how many orchids ina box. , etc..
  14. I will be using them. At those prices I will be doing a sample shipping and trating my coordinator to some flowers! We will see how they do. I will let everyone know.
  15. Hi Lisa! Congrats! I'm getting married in Todos Santos at this place www.alegriainn.net Let me know if you need any information. I'm getting married in December. We are having a beach ceremony and reception at Alegria. Todos Santos is wonderful! Basically we are taking over the whole town. I'm having over 150 people! It is going to be sooo much fun!
  16. I'm interested! In both the runners and the hurricanes: questions are the hurricanes canddle or glass? How can I contact you? My coordinator can go and pick up in Cabo. My colors are brown and red. so brown runners work for me.
  17. They are suppliers and ship cut flowers as is. Maybe Pamela floreria could do it. If you are Using Maye she could probably do it herself OR even you could do it. all it would take is floral wire orquids have to be wired & tape to wrap stems and some ribbon. I'm thinking of making my own.
  18. I also like their anthuriums. They will even sell as potted plants with atleast 5 flowers. They are gorgeous. They are $9 dls each plant and they have a minimum order of 5 boxes ( 6 plants per box). The plants may be really pretty as centerpieces.
  19. I was looking through the internet and found this web page they sell cymbidiums by the flower for $17 pesos = $1.75 usd plus shipping. They also sell Anthuriums, gingers , heliconias and other flowers. You do have to speak spanish but they will ship to Cabo! 20. Jenetta! I would definitely buy it from you ! Even if it was $70 dls! at $35 it is a steal! Plus you would not have to take home after the wedding! Let me know how you would like to coordinate pickup.
  21. I love my formal invites! I sent them to everyone. I know it is expensive but they are sooo worth it! Maybe it is just me but I don't think I would have felt like I was getting married withought them!
  22. Let me know what price and I can have my coordinator pick it up in Cabo! OOH, this is so exiting ! One less things for me to rent! or worry about. Do you think that I will have to dry clean?
