  1. Felicidades! It looks and sounds like you had a great time. Welcome to the club!
  2. Have you tried calling the US embassy? Even if they are in Mexico THEY should definitely know what you need to do. They tend to be really helpful. I have the number of the Embassy in Cabo if you need it let me know. Baurocrats are horrible to deal with. At least in Mexico I KNOW how to get things done $$$$$$. You should have them translate your marriage certificate in Mexico. There are legal translators that can take care of this BEFORE you do the apostille.
  3. Girls I just need to get this out. I'm really stressed right now and have basically no one to talk to. That is NOt true I can talk to family and friends but right now I just want to REALLY vent withought watching what I say because I don't want to affect the way friends and family think of hubby. He IS a great guy just a buthead right now... So with your permission I know I can really vent with you guys. So... we are in the middle of building a home in the Baja. Everything is going well but as we have to decide on the finishings ther are sooo many choices and HUbby just refuses to even think about it. He just doesn't want to give me any imput just says do what you want. He has horrible taste any way but I would like some help as he knows all the basic construction issues that I don't. We had a huge fight this morning because I chose a $350 dls above counter sink (gorgeous marble) and had to on my own decide the counter height and everything. So we are walking through the building and he starts inspecting the master bathroom. So he walks in and starts seeing a bunch of mistakes -- yes they really are all my fault but I just didn't know better and HE does. Some being the counter and another I had them install the pipes for the shower too low. How was I supposed to know that the floor in the shower has to be raise because of drainage isssues? So the shower head is going to be a little over 6 feet not bad for me I'm only 5'5" but since it is a rain shower it needs to be higher. The counter is definitely too high and will have to be lowered and the pipes will have to be adjusted ... so dummy me points out "well it is lucky they have not poured the cement over the counter it can still be moved and the wall can be opened and the pipe placed higher" (I'm the glass is half full mentality) so he just goes off on me ... and justs starts going on and on about the mistakes costing us time and money and did I just not understand. So I go off and tell him that he needs to be more involved as I am not technically capacitated to be making these decitions and he is and we get into really bad shouting match. So right now he isn't talking to me and I'm not either. AGHHHHH... I just want to scream.

  5. I had all 4 of mine taken out in two sessions. I had it done in Mexico as it was MUCH cheaper. I had it done last year. The dentist was incredible. He didn't knock me out but he did give me something like 4 or 5 injections on each side. He was really careful and actually cracked the teeth in four and then just kind of lifted each part out. I had no swelling and almost no pain. It took about 2 hours. I went in arround 9 in the morning and by 5 in the afternoon I was sucking on Paletas. They really helped. Paletas=popscicles.
  6. Edyta- Everything looked gorgeous. Especially you and your Hubby. Congrats!! You look so happy.
  7. RALPH AND EDNA: A Love Story Just because someone doesn't love you the way you want them to, doesn't mean they don't love you with all they have. Ralph and Edna were both patients in a mental hospital. One day, while they were walking past the hospital swimming pool, Ralph suddenly jumped into the deep end. He sank to the bottom of the pool and stayed there. Edna promptly jumped in to save him. She swam to the bottom and pulled him out. When the Head Nurse Director became aware of Edna's heroic act she immediately ordered her to be discharged from the hospital, as she now considered her to be mentally stable. When she went to tell Edna the news she said, "Edna, I have good news and bad news. *The good news is you're being discharged, since you were able to rationally respond to crisis by jumping in and saving the life of the person you love. I have concluded that your act displays sound mindedness. The bad news is, Ralph, hung himself in the bathroom with his bathrobe belt right after you saved him. I am so sorry, but he's dead." Edna replied, "He didn't hang himself, I put him there to dry. How soon can I go home?"
  8. Tammy great site!! When you are next in Mexico make sure you buy Hypogloss (it has a little hippo on the tube). They sell it at any of the bigger farmacies. It is an incredible diaper rash ointment. My sister in law had just had her baby right before our wedding and he always had really bad diaper rash. The pediatrician kept giving them different ointments and nothing worked. The poor kid's but was sooo bad the skin was actually coming off in places. When we got to Mexico one of the cooks at the Inn we were staying at recomended the ointment. It was to be applied after every diaper change really goopy all over. I kid you not by the next day mostof the red swelling was gone and in less than 3 days it was totally cleared up. My sister in law bought all she could find and she has me buy it for her every time I am in Mexico. Nate has not had ANY more problems. She now only applies it right after his bath and in the mornings.
  9. tammy I just checked the knot and they now have a slideshow... but it still doesn`t have any real closeups of the bride.
  10. tammy- They are passing the show on the style networK. Right now. You will be able to see her hairstyle much better on the show. It is super cute. Maybe there are more pictures on the style web page?
  11. Sorry guys.. I didn't even see that it wasn't in english. Let me know if anyone needs a translation.
  12. http://www.theknot.com/ch_article.ht...Pdate=20070416 I was watching the show and remembered you. If you didn't watch you may want to look at the pictures of her hair & flowers It reminded me of you. The placement of the flower was perfect and the hairstile looked great. half up & half down.
  13. Like I said they have a very modern look and if you are including them in your BM's flowers you could include them in your centerpieces. I love their look. Have fun planning.
  14. This company has great tropical flowers: Gingers, anthuriums, heliconias and some incredible greenery. They also sell incredible CAFE - thsi might make a great gift for your guests. I just went there and it is incredble!! Highly recommend them! http://www.cuilcovalley.com.mx/
  15. Also look at the gingers on that web page they are really cool and they have one that is brown called chocolate shampoo.
  16. I think with your colors and the MODERN look of your tables you may like Anthuriums. Look at the fourth picture on thsi page (sorry I'm a moron and can't figure out how to post pic). Google Image Result for http://aesop.rutgers.edu/~greenmachine/Images/ARRANGEMENTPICS/ContemporaryLilies.jpg The anthuriums shown are pink but you can get them in green and in brown. Here is aweb page where you can look at the colors: they have really cool flowers. They can sell them in bulk to you directly. The CHOCO is perfect I think. It is a deep chocolate brown witha white and green stamen. You could probably mix the brown and the lime green and maybe some white or even have the white and green ones. 17. Edyta- I'm so glad Happy was able to help you!! After you sent me your email I emailed her and told her you would be contacting her about the roses. She is an absolutely sweet person!! She made my wedding so much fun! AND she went above and beyond what I had expected of her. Definitely worth it! She is also the owner/manager of Alegria Inn a small B&B where I had my wedding. BTW they also have a gorgeous private one bedroom villa that is perfect if anyone wants to get away from it all for their honeymoon! Good luck with you wedding!! We can't wait to see pictures!!
  18. Tammy- Just put a pretty basket on the xtra chair with either the rose petals or whatever you will be using. Loved your drawing but I still think you should enter through the center. It will be easier for the photog to get pictures with your altar or what ever in the background.
  19. I think it is a gorgeous dress. You should wear it if it makes you happy. I think that you should be pretty safe weather wise in Jan. I know you have not descided where you are getting married but ... Cabo, PV, or other locations aren't that hot that time of the year.
  20. Tammy- If the chairs are included and are at no extra cost for you- I would set up six. Just so you have equal numbers on each side. It doesn't matter if one does not get used. I would also set them up in a slight semi circle three on each side of the isle.
  21. For those of you that want to use orange flowers for decoor... I was just in Cabo and saw this very cool flower on some huge trees. It is called a tulip tree and is covered in these very cool bunches of flowers surrounding this very cool "pod". I thought this would be very pretty for a wedding and could potentially be cheap. Free is you can find a tree and the owner lets you cut some. The individual flowers do look like tulips. I cut some for a dinner party we hosted and they really looked cool. Supposedly this tree flowers almost year round.

Still looked good again I wish we had used 2" pvc as it would have moved less in the wind.
  23. If your engagement ring has a plain band then I would get #3. I was at firstleaning towards #2. But #3 has a little more detail.
