  1. I get this a little but my sister gets it REALLY BAD. And she was a Division I college athlete in amazing shape and still got it. So, I think you shouldn't worry -- it just happens to some people!
  2. It wasn't cheap, but have you looked at the Cabo Surf Hotel? in 2006 we found their prices to be low compared to other hotels (don't know their 2008 prices, sorry). Another option is to rent out a house that is on the beach at Costa Azul and just have a wedding right there on the beach! This place comes to mind: Casa Sueno - San Jose Del Cabo, Cabo San Lucas Luxury Villa Rental We actually saw someone get married there. You can rent out the whole villa for the week. The owner is the guy who married us, actually, but you can do the booking through the company I think. It's not a fancy resort but it is beachside and the pool is very cute too.
  3. omg I found some cute ones! Hello Lucky Wedding: Antoinette Wedding Invitation Hello Lucky Wedding: Enchanted Garden Wedding Invitation baron*cards - Peacock Quills Flat Invitation
  4. I paid $250/hr for a solo guitarist if that makes you feel any better?
  5. If that link doesn't work for you just type in pal.einvite.com (http in the front). The Costco prices should appear automatically.
  6. Jenn: Not if you use this link - Browser Detection (At least they didn't ever ask me, although I am a member...)
  7. I did! Loved mine. The paper was thicker than I had expected and the ink was well done. When you say Costco you mean eInvite, right? I think they are partners, so you get the Costco price for the eInvite product. The only time I had a problem was viewing my proof and I just called customer service and they fixed it right away.
  8. I had a similar problem when I got "cranberry" printed ink. I thought that meant dark pink and it ended up being red. I was initially sad but then I just decided it didn't matter and got over it and saved a lot of stress! And honestly, I don't think a single person noticed or cared!
  9. I was on a budget and got Bradley for a fabulous price (I don't remember exactly but less than he's charging now). I think in the same budget parameters I would choose him again, yes. Of course, there are some brides whose photos I look at and I'm jealous of, but I have to remember some of them paid 5 times much as I did. The other thing I liked was getting all the images on disc (and the copyright permission for them) just days after my wedding. I made photobooks and have ordered reprints myself at great prices.
  10. sorry I haven't read all the comments so maybe someone already said this, but I think it would be really pretty if each girl had a slightly different color and all together it would be a whole range of magentas!
  11. You can find a lot in the search but I will tell you two things: 1) He works so hard, is very professional, and so easy to be around and work with. No drama. Great personality. Delivers what he says. 2) Not a lot of "post-production" in the photos. I guess he is just journalistic. He will take pics of what happens. He doesn't spend a ton of time posing you, or turning your photos into super-airbrushed photoshopped works of art. Feel free to look at my photos (link below) to get a feel for what he gives each bride (as opposed to his "best-of" from his website)
  12. We invited everyone with a guest just because I didn't want them to feel forced to travel internationally alone if they didn't want to. However, almost no one who wasn't married even used their "and guest". And the ones who brought their guest had a great vacation, which is what we wanted them to have when we decided to have a DW. I think if it's possible you should try to be inclusive. I know it's hard on the budget though, and you have to figure out what works for you.
  13. Go Leigh! As someone who has done WW like a zillion times I know what an accomplishment that is. Keep up the good work
  14. Welcome! All hotels are different, but in my case I dealt with all the vendors myself except for food and drink, which the hotel supplied. My guess is that the Westin is the same?
  15. Very impressive! I love the towels so much! Have a great time and enjoy every second. Don't let anything bug you and just be happy and GET MARRIED!!! Can't wait for pics!
  16. I have to say that I think you should definitely send a thank you card, but not one of your special wedding ones.
  17. Ugh, that sucks but is not surprising! It really is too bad because he is amazing (when he shows up!)
  18. Maybe the search function is acting up but it's definitely been written about. Try these threads: http://bestdestinationwedding.com/forum/t11165 http://bestdestinationwedding.com/forum/t4877 Bottom line, it depends on who is doing your hair. My bad experience was because the person I confirmed to do my hair (the owner) was not there on my wedding day.
  19. My dress was a Casablanca and it really wasn't that expensive. As long as it's in your budget, why not try on the 2nd one?

    Cabo - May 08

The Palmilla is so amazing, I'm sure your wedding will be perfect. Feel free to ask us about vendors. There are tons of Cabo brides here.
  21. Nice work! I wish I could get my DH to quit...he is soooooo addicted!
  22. I used David Flores, but he did not sing. His guitar was AMAZING, however, he has been flaky in the past. Do a search for his name on the board, I'm sure there is tons on him going back a year or two.
