  1. This is a tough question. If you think 90% of the people know about the wedding, I think I'd send the invitations a little later. If you require an early RSVP, you will get a lot of "Yesses" from people who want to come but ultimately can't make it for some reason. The later you have the RSVP date, the more accurate it will be, I think. Whether you do the RSVPs online or thru the mail, some people will simply not reply and you will have to call them. Sucks, but true. We did ours completely online and I loved it! So it's possible to do, you'll just have to talk to the non-internet people in person or on the phone to get their answers.
  2. great review! and i love the spanx pic...hilarious! i am so glad everything went so well!
  3. Sometimes places have a TX or CA address where they get all their mail from. I think we sent our deposit to somewhere in Cali if I remember correctly. Any chance your site has that?
  4. I am glad you are going, and sometimes cooking at home together can be romantic Just get some 2 buck chuck wine and you are good to go!!
  5. Just an FYI -- we loved our Jcrew BM dresses but they really did not photograph the same color as they truly were. We had them in "Beet" which is like the "Crisp Beet" and although I swear they are dark pink, they look red in all the photos. Just wanted to give a heads up. We still loved them!
  6. We walked from the Casa del Mar beach down to the Hilton just to go swimming one day. They have basically built out a rock wall in front of part of the Hilton beach that breaks the waves and makes the beach swimmable. Now, it's not like it's shallow calm water but it's still MUCH better than other parts of the corridor. Does that help? (This was in mid-November, btw)
  7. Welcome! Let me know if you are interested in the Cabo Surf Hotel. It's a good alternative if the big resorts aren't your thing. Good luck!
  8. If the party has to end at 10:30, work backwards. Figure 3 hours of reception, 1.5 hours of dinner/toasts, 1 hr cocktail hour, and 30 min ceremony? (just a guess, you could modify these times). When in doubt, go a little earlier, I think. I wish we started 30 mins earlier, because the sun sets fast.
  9. Usually when I read a wedding review I think to myself, "Oh that sounds so perfect and great but I am still glad we had our wedding the way we did it." (Know what I mean, when you know something is great for someone else but not for you?) But this wedding almost makes me wish I had mine at Las Caletas! It just sounds perfect, I am so glad it was a 10 out of 10. Now when do we get to see pics?!?!?
  10. Welcome! Alisa just got married there and posted her review last week -- she loved the Hilton. Happy planning!

    hello

Hey there, I got married at the Cabo Surf, but we had 55 ppl. Still, it's a GREAT hotel for 10, 20, 50, 100. You will love it. My wedding info is getting outdated at this point, but let me know if I can help at all!
  12. My girls and I did Starfighter lillies and green tea leaves (inexpensive!)
  13. Definitely write the thank you note now. It doesn't matter which event it's for or if they are coming, you can still thank them for the gift and check it off your list. It's better for you to have it done, and better for them to know you received the gift!

  16. Here are our moms -- I loved both outfits and maybe the flowy pants idea is good for someone who doesn't like to show leg
  17. Christine I'm thinking of getting that same Garmin from Costco, but I'm tempted to upgrade to the one with Bluetooth since you can't talk on your cell phone in DC without a handfree device...but then I'd have to get a new phone too!
  18. Great review! I am so happy it was perfect. Good luck with the post-wedding blues
  19. I voted for 3 but now that I see the ering I might like 5 more? pretty!
  20. I love that band...can't wait to see how it looks on your hand. I love my e-ring but sometimes I think about just getting a nice band too...one day, maybe!
  21. How about hydrangeas? You could get ones that are mostly blue but have hints of purple of green. I also love the pop of orange like Mo used up above!
