She had the fire breather/dancer and the reggae band and it was so much fun. I have a ton of pics to edit! It's going to be hard deciding which ones for their slideshow.

I'll be back and post some teasers. It was such a beautiful wedding weekend and a happy time for all :0)

If you girls have any othe q's I can try and help although I'm sure answers from Stacie would be best!

Hi Melissa!

Were the fire dancers really good? I watched a few you tube videos of Fire Dancers in Jamaica and wasn't impressed by what I saw...

It was just one dancer but he did an amazing job. He really got the group into it and gave everyone fire sticks. So not only did he have a few tricks up his sleeve but incorporating the audience I thought was really cool. I have some pics and I promise to post them as soon as I'm at that point in the uploading phase :0)

It took me some time to read through 66 pages of post on this Iberostar thread.  We are taking a vacation to Jamaica this month to celebrate our 2 year anniversary and will be staying at the RMB.  I looked up many hotels in the area and was in awe of IBRHS, but we decided to go the more affordable route and just take multiple excursions.

We have been talking very seriously about marriage and having a destination wedding between Aug-Oct 2011 (no ring yet rant.gif but was promised I would have one before Decembersmile159.gif).   BF and I decided that it would be wise to reach out to the WC and schedule a visit to the hotel while on vacation.  BDW has been such a valuable tool for me researching a DW and just having a realistic idea of how much these weddings can cost and what options are available.

I will take plenty of detailed pictures of course on my visit and will make sure to link them to the site.  Happy wedding planning!

Hey ladies,

we are struggling with choosing a reception restaurant. I really wanted to Aunt Ruby's, but some people on here have scared me away saying it was too hot. Can I get some feedback on what you ladies think or are going with? It would help me out a lot! I really want to be outside, but not if i'm going to sweat to death!

Same problem, I think I will be using the Calabash just so we can have air conditioning.  This might be a last minute decision I have to see if it will be large enough for 65 pp and dancing.  No one wants to dance in the heat...

We are doing ours @ aunt rubys because we arnt travelling all that way to not have a full out beach wedding! Just our opinon anyways! We only get till 10 oclock at aunt rubys- so most people move indoors for the dancing at the club or I even heard if you do the dancing around the lazy river its alot cooler! We were thinking about doing the dinner indoors but I personally wasnt a fan of any of the decor for the indoor resturants and I havent seen any pictures of anyones that has not been at aunt rubys!

I'm in the same boat, everyone raves about the food at Aunt Ruby's but then they complain about the heat...This is officially becoming a difficult decision.  I'm so confused I want to have a beach party but I'm not sure if I should have it after dinner or the day before the wedding.

Does anyone know if Imuze did her review yet?  I've checked a few times and I have not seen it.

P.S.  I'm so happy I found this forum :)

No, she hasn't because she was a little under the weather once she returned.  If you have simple questions you can go ahead and ask her and she will answer.  I am also patiently awaiting her review because she is a very thorough person and I know it will be awesome!

You did not like the decor at the Calabash Gourmet?

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
