  1. These are great. I am going to get this program quote name="Thomasjsgirl" url="/t/25958/feedback-on-diy-invites#post_479343"]Hi ladies, I've recently discovered Adobe photoshop - wow what a program! These are my very first, and very ameurish, attempts at making our own invites. I would love some feedback re font, placement, background etc. Which one is your fave? SORRY LADIES! I HAD TO REDO MY POST BECAUSE THE PICS WEREN'T COMING OUT WELL, AND I MIXED UP THE ORDER! NO WORRIES THOUGH, I KNOW WHICH ONES YOU MEANT. THANKS FOR THE FEEDBACK AND MY APOLOGIES FOR THE SIZE. I COULDN'T SHRINK THEM WITHOUT MAKING THE TEXT UNREADABLE.

  3. I will check this out quote name="MexiBride" url="/t/28099/diy-invites-how-to#post_523107"]I don't know if any of you were still looking on where to order pocketfolds from, but I found a pretty reasonable site at Envelopments® Mix and Match Design Line - parts for custom invitations and announcements. I think that if you order more than 100, you get a 10% discount. They have all kinds of stock from matte, metallic, textured and patterned and more. I bought the 4x5 metallic pocketfolds in rubelite. They're $1.50 each before the 10% discount. I ordered metallic cardstock from PAPERWORKS - Paper Isn't Our Sideline... It's Our Only Line!. I'm paying like $30 for 100 8 1/2 x 11 coverstock metallic paper in quartz (like a white color) and I can get 4 from each sheet because I'm cutting them. Super cheap! I also ordered my envelopes from Specialty Paper, Envelopes and Invitation Supplies by Envelopemall. Theirs comes in a package of 100 and the metallic ones I bought were $17/package also in quartz. Some of the same websites sell the same products, but the paper may be cheaper at one, but their envelopes were more expensive. That's why I bought everything at 3 different places, but I'm saving more money that way. Anyways, hope this helps someone out! Good luck!
  4. [Nice Quote name=monicaswave" url="/t/28395/finally-my-invitations-are-done#post_525257]I call this my semi-DIY invitations. I found a fantastic lady who does invitations here in Houston and we worked together to create my ideal invitation. I basically picked out exactly what I wanted and she helped us put them together. We were origianlly going to make them ourselves but after I spoke with her and she quoted me a very reasonable fee and I saw her amazing work I let her take the job from my hands. I am soooo happy with the result. We wanted a very modern clean invitation. Even the wording is very different from your traditional invitation so I hope people like them. I just noticed you can see my doggies paws in one....she is so nosey....she has to be in everything I do
