  1. I get the hometown one also!! My hometown just happens to be right on a beach, and a few people have commented wondering why if I wanted to get married on a beach, why I just don't do it there.
  2. Are you leaning one way a little more? Definitely go with your gut if you are! I think either resort would be a good choice - I know some people who got married at the Riu Ocho Rios and had a great time. Rose Hall had been recommended to us by our travel agent when we were planning a vacation a couple years ago..I did a ton of research and it looked like a beautiful resort. I don't think you could go wrong either way!
  3. Those are cute! I'm starting the hunt for shoes now but haven't been able to find anything close to what I'm looking for. Was hoping for something white with a little bling hehe. Since our wedding is on the beach I'll likely be doing flip flops, or some kind of flat sandal - no heels for me I don't think
  4. I would like to know the answer to this too if anyone can help This is such a great idea..love it!
  5. Love the message in a bottle and postcard ideas!! We weren't sure what do for our guestbook because we also have a small guestlist. I'm thinking the postcard idea would work very well for us. I'd be a little paranoid about trying to get glass there and back without breaking.
  6. Gorgeous dress! Maybe you could go shopping again just to see what's out there? If you find an organza dress that you fall in love with, since it's what you've always wanted you should go with what your heart tells you:) Remember we only get our day once, so you should be wearing the dress you truly want to be wearing!
  7. In the end, you've got to do what YOU want to do - it's not bad that you only want to invite immediate family/close friends. It's what we're doing too, and I've been catching flack from my Grandmother about not inviting certain people, but really - we decided on only direct family, not extended. We are also having a casual get together after our wedding when we're back to celebrate with those who couldn't come to the Wedding - we don't have the money for a big, fancy one. The important thing is gathering together with your loved ones to celebrate your Marriage, you don't have to spend a lot of money on a huge elaborate thing to do that
  8. I'm so glad to feel that I'm not alone! So sorry you girls are going through similar problems though I have one friend coming to the wedding (my best friend, MOH) - no other friends, and no family (other than my parents). It's very hurtful for various reasons. First of all, I understand that a lot of people aren't able to make it, and due to money problems, etc. But several members of my family are travelling for spring break, and even one person is planning to travel to Europe the month of our wedding! Are you telling me these people couldn't have saved up and spent that money towards our wedding? I'm very hurt that I won't have ONE person from my family that wants to spend that time with me and see me get married. All the people who promised they are coming, are now backing out. But in the end I'm trying to keep my mind on those people who ARE coming and how it's going to be a great day no matter WHAT.
  9. I'm sorry - it sucks to lose people from your life, but in the end you're better off without those toxic people in it! Now you have more time for your true friends, and for those who deserve your time
  10. YAY congrats ladies for hitting 150 - I still have so far to go..like 100 to go haha.
  11. Nerd - candy! (haven't had those in ages )
  12. I've been doing a lot of walking (speed walking with the pup!) and have been trying some Pilates moves!
  13. I've been eating a lot more clean over the past few months and I feel great! Of course I allow myself to indulge once in a while, but for the most part I try to as clean as possible. I also drink a ton of water. I'm not looking to lose weight, I want to tone up for the wedding and just be overall more healthy. I love the ToneItUp girls on YouTube - highly recommended!
  14. Thank you so much ladies! I love the dress, but sometimes now I see other dresses and think "hmmm what if" but I stop those thoughts immediately hehe. MissBubble205-I hope you find your dress soon! You haven't found the one yet, but I'm sure it will be worth the wait:)
  15. We are not going to do one, but we are going to have a more casual get together afterwards with everyone who couldn't make it.
  16. Welcome to the new Canadian girls
